This makes me chuckle. 58 years in Sarasota and Port Charlotte, 3catagory 5 storms..so we moved to "safe" western Georgia...only to be hit by Michael as a cat 3 on Wednesday. Praise God, we got power, water and WiFi back at noon today .
Looking at your house in this video, when it wasn't a blank slate but designed/decorated by the previous owners, makes me appreciate what you have done with the house so much more than I did already. You have a natural talent for decorating. It is amazing to me how you could look at these spaces and know what you wanted to change to get them to look the way you would like. I wish so badly that I could hire you to do my home. (By the way I found it funny how different the master bedroom was. Soooo not your style!)

Welcome to Tampa Bay! I live about 30 minutes outside of Sarasota. Moved down from Illinois in 2005 and it was the best decision we ever made. Enjoy our beautiful state. We hope you guys decide to become Floridians as well. God bless
It was. But the location was too far away and it was a lot more expensive plus a lot smaller. So it didn’t really seem like an option. I like to be able to fix something up.
The frog! 🤣 I think the first house has tons of potential! #3 had beautiful floors in the main living area and a beautiful kitchen, but the kitchen seems small. Prayers that everything works out the very best for your sweet family!

The first house. My first thought on that smaller closet in the master bedroom is a great area for baby stuff. (I don't know y'alls life lol) but if y'all ever had another baby... it's convenient to hang the babies stuff up in and put diapers, wipes, blankets, ect.

I'm with you Lynette - I have driven older cars for so long I wouldn't know how to navigate a new one with all the bells and whistles. I'm having enough trouble just keeping up with all the computer "upgrades"! I agree, the first house looked like the best choice. What was with that house that you entered the master bedroom through a bath and the first thing you saw was the toilet?! Very odd configuration. You wonder what was going on in the architect's mind - if anything!🙄

I'm from just South of Sarasota, pay extra attention with the exterior wood panel siding when looking at houses, a lot of them are dry rot and can be costly and ask when the roof was replaced, you'll certainly want to be sure it's under 4-5 years because of the summer storms we have
I love it!! Nick is already saying Yall. Y'all are fast becoming Floridians but you need to get used to frogs and bugs. Just pick them up and throw them out of your car. Your boys can do that for you!! They will love it.

The only thing that I didnt care for in the 1st house was carpet in the dining. But I really loved a lot of it! The tall ceilings are nice and the kitchen wasn't horrible. I liked that it was super dark and liked the white cabinets. The frog in car made me laugh so hard 😂

Hi Lynette just a tip for you. My mother moved from Ohio to Georgia a year ago and hired movers to pack and drive her stuff to GA and unload. She spent a little over $5k. Just this week my in-laws also moved from Ohio to GA and what they did was rent a 26' UHaul Truck for $700 and hired a moving company to pack up the truck at their home in Ohio. My husband and I drove the truck to GA and then we hired a company to simply unload the contents into their new apartment. After all was said and done they only paid $2000. I wish I would have thought to do that for my mom. Just wanted to pass along some cost savings since I know you will soon move from Ohio to Florida. Good Luck with everything.

I live in Spring hill florida since 2009 and I used to live in Kissimmee,,I have been to Sarasota many times and let me tell you I hate the traffic there, its insane. Check your central air units carefully and the neighborhoods, wish I had never moved to Florida. I miss the changing of seasons and can't plant a vegetable garden like i used to in Pa,, too many bugs.....But here I am making the best of it. But love their restaurants and Trader Joe there. I used to live in York Pa .
