I don’t know whether this is just my phone, but I was experiencing ridiculously high battery drain for about three weeks on iOS 12.1. Three. I have just now updated to iOS 12.1.4And I can confirm that the battery drain issue is now fixed. It was so bad on iOS 12.1. Three I had to contact Apple support and asked them why this was happening. My phone is practically new because it was a replacement model for an antenna issue that I was having with my iPhone SE and it’s been three months now, that battery drain issue in three weeks brought my battery life down from 96% to 92% at the moment. Literally killed my phone with heating issues as well. Now, for a few hours at least, it’s much much better. And I can confirm that the battery drain issue is now fixed. It was so bad on iOS 12.1.3 I had to contact Apple support and asked them why this was happening. My phone is practically new because it was a replacement model for an antenna issue that I was having with my iPhone SE and it’s been three months now, that battery drain issue in three weeks pulled my battery health down from 96% to 92% at the moment. Almost killed my phone with heating issues as well. Now, for a few hours at least, it’s much much better.
Tried 12.1.4 on my iphone 6S.. didn't fix the battery drain issue for me :( Still loses ~10% battery / hr idle. battery health at 96%.... no apps running, no background anything..... just idle. Been like this since 12.1.1. Guess better luck next version for me :(
Henry S The battery issue isn’t actually fixed in this version, it’s just a little better. I noticed more and more as I use it that battery drain is still present. I will do what Apple told me to do, reset the phone using iTunes and restore. Maybe that will have a good impact on the phone I don’t know. As for your iPhone 6s, you may have to do the same thing. Just back up your photos and everything else using iTunes and pray that it works. I used to be able to get through a whole day and more on this iPhone SE now I can’t even get through a couple of hours without charging it. Ridiculous.
Henry S I hear that iPhone sales are low now due to people not upgrading their phones. They use sneaky tactics like this to kill your device and get you to upgrade. I will be upgrading this year, but it would not be an Apple phone that I upgrade to, it would actually be a Samsung. I’m sick and tired of this bullshit. Kill peoples phones and batteries with updates. Well done Apple.
@@mastEren11 Yeah when I installed 12.1.4 I did DFU reset/reinstall. Had to do that since I was trying out 12.2 Beta 2 already ( Didn't solve battery issue on that either btw) I'd rather they slowly slow our devices down rather than screw around with battery life if they're going with that planned obsolescence thing :(
Henry S yup. I totally agree. Like I said, if this carries on any further I will be switching to Samsung. They act like they are the only company producing phones and software but they really aren’t. Apple are just going downhill nowadays and it’s getting worse every year.
Awesome video and really helpful i got a new iPhone X max and i have the same issues with connectivity but the wifi doesn't drop of it just is slow my Note 8 is way faster.
My iPhone SE is at ios 11.4.1, the battery is ok, I guess but I am facing the overheating issue because sometimes it's really hot after some UA-cam videos. Would the ios 12.1.4 fix this issue, improve my current performance and battery life? ( My battery capacity is at 100%)
I bought the iPhone 7 and it came with iOS 11.4.1, so basically the battery is completely new, if I update to this version will my battery be affected?
I no longer trust Apple updated in my own experience it seems some are just bunk and excuse to add more garabage to slow phone down. My 6 updated to iOS 12.1, ran great, next update crap once again. Luckily I downgraded. I will stay in 12.1, never use FaceTime anyhow!
Wait, I’m on 12.2 beta 2. How am I supposed to update to this. Remove the profile and install it? Can I do that then, then once my phone is finished updating. I download the beta 2 version of iOS 12.2? Pls help I don’t get this
Brandon Butch it’s very important to know which carrier too. I highly suspect different frequencies from different carriers are influencing the WiFi/LTE due to the new modem manufacturer in these new devices and them constantly changing things that helps this device/carrier and then negatively affects that device/carrier and vice versa. It bounces back and forth on which device/CARRIER works well vs not with the updates where they are trying to fix things because of the new modem manufacturer used in latest devices. Yes wifi isn’t a carrier specific thing but the modem is used for both so when they try to fix an LTE issue it could impact corresponding device(carrier) WiFi. This is all what seems to be happening and it makes me extremely reluctant on doing any updates because I don’t want my device crippled again.
How many of you guys actually use Group FaceTime frequently?
Could you do questions like this in the youtube video to vote for? :) then everybody can compare with %
@@Luca_ Just added it! Thanks for the suggestion :)
Haven’t used it.
Can you do a jailbreak tutorial for ios 12.1.2?
I’m on iOS 12.0
Finally!! Great content always
What if your on 12.1.3? Should I update? Or will they be a jailbreak. All I hear is 12.1.2. Not 12.1.3
I don’t need because I’m using ios 12.2 beta 2
TECH MONSTER same
I have not updated my phone 6s plus since iOS 11.2.1 and was wondering if it’s a good idea to update now to iOS 12.1.4? Thanks

I’m on iPhone 6, currently on 11.3.1 should I upgrade to 12? Hows battery
I have not updated my phone since iOS 11.2.1 and was wondering if it’s a good idea to update now to iOS 12.1.4? Thanks
Great just glad FaceTime is fixed 👌 great video as always 👊👊

I have 10.3.3 on 7 plus, Do I need to update the version?
How you got a “soldier knows best” voice and a Brandon Butch face?? I’m confused
No difference in connectivity stability. It’s the same as 12.1.3.
Yess
EruYagami
Big difference in connectivity! Mine does not connect automatically like it used to. I have to do it manually.
I’m still deciding if I want to update my iPad 🤔
Battery life was worse on my XR after updating from 12.1.2 to 12.1.3
Because iphone XI are going out this year soon, so apple decrease the performance last year phone 😂.
Wifi Does not connect automatically
I am at iOS 12.1.2. Do you know why?
Very important. Improvement from ios 12.1.3
Is it going to slow down my iphone 6?
What date are released ios 12.1.4
After this update, I lost 1% battery health
I updated to iOS 12.1.4 and yet, my group FT is still permanently disabled...
bc I’m on the 6 Plus 😂
The phone you're trying to GFT with also has to be on 12.1.4
Brandon Butch i was joking... Group FT isn’t even available for iPhone 6 or below. It’s only for iPhone 6S , SE and above.
Im wondering why my ios 12.1.4 update need 2.77gb?
So basically if you don't group FaceTime does it matter?
Basically
I STILL HAVE THE 12.1.3 CAUSE IT DOES NOT WANT TO DOWNLOAD
I bought the iPhone 7 and it came with iOS 11.4.1, so basically the battery is completely new, if I update to this version will my battery be affected?
if your battery is new it shouldn't but im suprised your phone came with 11.4.1 if it was new
Wow do people still jailbreak
This update better not be like iOS 12.1.1,12.1.2, and 12.1.3 OR ELSE😡
At least 12.2 is right around the corner
Brandon Butch what’s that Brandon sorry Im new but I have my iPhone XR so I want a comfortable experience on my phone so I watch your videos
I’m not using FaceTime
Nonsense, all the updates have a purpose , of course we have to update our devices !
Actually you don’t need to update to get FaceTime. I’m on 12.1.3 and I used FaceTime.
Meme Duck same no bugs or anything
Bro what about if u in the beta program 12.2
why do u never use ur iphone xs
ua-cam.com/video/qhi5q46odAU/v-deo.html
OF COURSE you update to 12.1.4 WHY do you even propose that as an option? Jail breaking? Get Android if that’s what you want
Hi 👋 Brandon please can you tell me about the jailbreak ios 12.1
Watch my last 2 jailbreak update videos from earlier this week
I’m on 12.2 beta 2 👍🏼
Im on 12.1.3 and im not gonna update
I no longer trust Apple updated in my own experience it seems some are just bunk and excuse to add more garabage to slow phone down. My 6 updated to iOS 12.1, ran great, next update crap once again. Luckily I downgraded. I will stay in 12.1, never use FaceTime anyhow!
I don't wanna update bc of the jailbreak but i'll just use group facetime on my mac 😂
There you go
You can always downgrade
I have been using 12.2 beta 2
Same,so does that mean we can’t update it to iOS 12.1.4 ?
Noel Gonzalez 1828 yeah you can’t because then you would be downgrading
Clayton Olden phhhh I see now thanks! I’ll just reset the whole phone to get it
Wait, I’m on 12.2 beta 2. How am I supposed to update to this. Remove the profile and install it? Can I do that then, then once my phone is finished updating. I download the beta 2 version of iOS 12.2? Pls help I don’t get this
Yeah you have to restore via iTunes
There’s a bug on this new update. Screen recording while watching something on youtube will freeze or crash!
popitn2nd only for you..
You have to watch it on landscape zoom in 1080p. Check this vid i made...
ua-cam.com/video/xc2_rWI_xx4/v-deo.html
there is nothing new since like 10 years now
I have never seen apple saying that this update is recommended for all users. I trust you apple - DOWNLOADING 》》》》
Me too
I watch iphone 6s now
Wrong
WiFi dropping off on iOS 12.2
Not for me. What device?
Brandon Butch it’s very important to know which carrier too. I can uodate
He is a Steelers fan
What’s the difference in battery life from 12.1.1 to 12.1.4?
Minimal
Brandon Butch thanks but even on the iPhone XS Max?
Yes, that's what I use
@@BrandonButch minimal in what sense??? which is better to have for battery life ios 12.1.1 or ios 12.1.4 on XR
Same goes here should it help ? For xsmax
I have an iPhone X, im afraid about all those updates maybe apple wants to ruin my old phone jaja
Joal H. You might have a point, But I worry about security if I don’t stay current
I bought an iphone 7 and it is 11.4.1, so fuck it I dont want my battery to get ruined tbh
Not updating because of the jailbreak that just came out.
Don't go for XS max im facing hanging problems with it, i just brought two months back and facing serious problem
Ram Krishna I have a 6s plus so that shouldn't be too much of an issue, rootless works fine with it. Hopefully your phone stops hanging. :)
Brainwash! How many times can you repeat 12.1.4? It gives me the nausea
Nonsense
Lol I'm on 12.2 beta
Same here. Use it as a daily driver on 6s. Work well, but charging info instead date and day on lock screen, it drive me nuts
I’m also on Beta 2 of 12.2 👍🏻 I recalibrated the battery and that helped fix the battery drain issue
Android rules
My man.
Not really though
I have been using 12.2 beta 2
