Viele standen zu Beginn der Covid19-Krise vor leeren Regalen im Supermarkt. Die Pandemie offenbarte, wie fragil die heutigen Logistiksysteme und Wertschöpfungsnetzwerke aufgestellt sind. Die aktuelle Lage ist denn auch ein Grund, warum sich die Branche künftig neu organisieren muss und es zu einem Supply Chain Redesign kommen sollten. Dabei wird sie wohl mehr in neue Technologien (z.B. Blockchain) investieren, sollte sich aber auch die Natur zum Vorbild nehmen (Stichwort «Bio-Intelligenz»).
Corona crisis and supply chains: What the logistics industry can learn from bees
At the beginning of the Covid19 crisis, many stood in front of empty supermarket shelves. The pandemic revealed how fragile today's logistics systems and value-added networks are. The current situation is therefore also a reason why the industry will have to reorganize itself in the future and why a supply chain redesign should take place. It will probably invest more in new technologies (e.g. blockchain), but should also take nature as a model (keyword "bio-intelligence").
