What I mean by that is that it sounds like Jin is depressed and sad that he isn't able to be an amazing dancer and isn't able to sing a lot in songs and he just generally isn't getting a lot of love and attention like the other members. It's like he is living in their shadows and in Awake, it sounds like he's saying it's his fate and it's the truth that he isn't being loved and not getting appreciated. In Butterfly, it sounds like the other members are trying to comfort Jin, saying that he isn't in their shadows, and that he is being loved and getting a lot of appreciation from people. But it sounds like Jin isn't listening to the members and continuing to believe his thoughts. To me, this mashup is very deep and just really sad, it's like Jin and the other members are having an argument about Jin having a lot love and attention and if it's true or not. The two songs are, like I said, having a conversation. It's like Awake is Jin's thoughts and sayings while Butterfly is the member's thoughts and sayings as well.
