This drama ended beautifully. The writer succesfully wraped up the drama element without changing the history. I could not have asked for a better ending, since it was just perfect for me. Lee yeok and chae kyung are not only each other first love, but they are also each other last love. Now I need to struggle fighting over this withdrawal syndrome 😭 p.s: gosh, it reminds me of Goblin so much

The king requested her to be reinstated as queen because she was the one he truly loved however, she refused saying he already has a son with other woman. And having her in the palace again and if they will have a son, the struggling of power between their son and the king's son with other wife will happen again just like what happened to the king and his deposed brother king. She, having seen how the brothers were manipulated by the politicians around them, she, begged off of the reinstatement as queen.
i dont know why but when i see this scene it super sad when u think about reality that they actualy not together,but i love how author can show some emotional moment between them! love it
This drama is just beyond beautiful. Their love is deeper, more intense and so passionate that it warms my heart. Definitely a masterpiece. Park Min Young and Yeon Woo Jin's chemistry is great! I hope I can see them once again in a show (or just date irl lol). :)
What made us feel this drama is because of the superb acting of woo jin (so handsome) and park min young. I cannot imagine others playing the roles. Bravo..

At first i thought they had children but watching this episode repeatedly, i realized they do not have because when the king tried to reinstate her as queen, she refused because the king has already a son from a concubine perhaps and if i will live there again and we will have children, a struggle in power may happen again just like what happened to the king and the deposed king. But it is very clear, that till the end Shin was the only woman he is married with. Actually, all his clothes were made by Shin and it is still Shin he's dreaming of and the only woman he's waiting for till his death. During his last hours, it was Shin who he told to be fetched by his aid. Thus, when they both died, he said I'm finally home because he was reunited with Shin, who was his home. Imagine, though separated, the king managed not to wed other woman. True love indeed but, i cried a lot watching it. Todate, I can't still move on..it sinked to my heart perhaps, because of their superb acting, every word they uttered makes me cry...that's how effective their acting is. This time of quarantine, i already watched several korean series... Gush,. this is the best for me...

As you all know, this drama was based on the real story. After I completed this drama, I did some research on the characters. And I found out that the king later married that vicious girl who saved her life, and they both died at very young age. The king total married 3 girls (including chae gyung). Many are probably confused if that part was real or not. Sadly, it wasn't. She never called him husband after he got on the horse. She too died lonely without a child. So that all was a Dream, that Too a beautiful one!!! I guess the makers didn't want to give a sad happening to the audience. So they made us saw living in that beautiful imagination...!!

His second wife died when she was 24 years old (it was Yoon Myung Hye (later named Queen Janggyeong) in this show it is the girl/woman who saved the prince when he was a kid)

They never met again, the queen died alone and even their tombs are far away from each other. It is so sad that I even cried in my dream.
When you watch the series, its fictional drama based on historical facts. But then, its not exactly the actual story, but should be INSPIRED by the ancient story because in real life, they were married very young like he was 12, and she was 13, she was deposed, then he had wives and concubines and had 15 children. she died childless and alone at the age of 71. so theirs is a resemblance of that story. But not the true life. I love the series, same as I am hooked on " The Moon Embracing the Sun, 100 days my Prince and Love in the Moonlight.

This is the most heartfelt finale I've seen in dramaland.. I wouldn't trade this memorable finale to a make-believe and forgettable happy ending. I love Prince Jin Seong and Chae Kyung's love. It stands the test of time and distance. I will never forget the line, " Just by staying alive means we love each other. "
I just finished watching this drama for the fourth time. And i cried sooo bad just like how i did when i watched it for the first time. This was the BEST historical drama EVER! Every scene, every episode never gets me bored. It was just beautiful❤
Can I ask sth about the last ep ? The sence before Yoek's dream about his life with Chae Kyung and their kids. They met at CK's house but CK want to see Yoek, after Yoek gone CK follow him and said that "dont go, we must live together". So that scene is in real life or in York's dream too?

it's my first time watching this drama and I love everything about it but what saddens me was when she made the decision with him to go and he will do what he had to as the king and when every thing gets settle they can be together to me that was not what love is all about as the old saying goes love conquers all she could of stayed and help him to make sure what happened to he and his brother don't happen to their family she would be there to guide and help him in making the right decisions when things like this matter come up and also I would of like to see how well he did as a king in making the country a better place for the thirty eight to thirty nine years he was the king now after all that what can they do for each other being old he is dieing holding on to memories of their pass when they could of make it their reality when they was given a chance but as they say it's never to late to make things happen even if it's for a little while.
Just finished it today and cried so hard😭. A very good ending, it shows how much they love each other. But a bit sad for me because they have been longing in each other for 38 years.
Despite the facts and history. I still wish them together. I wish the episode would have ended with the dream sequence. Where they were happy with their kids.

This is the most heartfelt finale I've seen in dramaland.. I wouldn't trade this memorable finale to a make-believe and forgettable happy ending.
I love Prince Jin Seong and Chae Kyung's love. It stands the test of time and distance.
I will never forget the line, " Just by staying alive means we love each other. "

I just finished watching this drama for the fourth time. And i cried sooo bad just like how i did when i watched it for the first time. This was the BEST historical drama EVER! Every scene, every episode never gets me bored. It was just beautiful❤
Can I ask sth about the last ep ? The sence before Yoek's dream about his life with Chae Kyung and their kids. They met at CK's house but CK want to see Yoek, after Yoek gone CK follow him and said that "dont go, we must live together". So that scene is in real life or in York's dream too?
@@baongoc925 Yeok's dream started at the scene where ChaeKyung heard Yeok's voice after he left at her house that made Chaekyung run hastly to Yeok, calling him Husband and Grand Prince😢 then the reality continued after 38 freaking years💔😭 it breaks my heart

it's my first time watching this drama and I love everything about it but what saddens me was when she made the decision with him to go and he will do what he had to as the king and when every thing gets settle they can be together to me that was not what love is all about as the old saying goes love conquers all she could of stayed and help him to make sure what happened to he and his brother don't happen to their family she would be there to guide and help him in making the right decisions when things like this matter come up and also I would of like to see how well he did as a king in making the country a better place for the thirty eight to thirty nine years he was the king now after all that what can they do for each other being old he is dieing holding on to memories of their pass when they could of make it their reality when they was given a chance but as they say it's never to late to make things happen even if it's for a little while.
Just finished it today and cried so hard😭. A very good ending, it shows how much they love each other. But a bit sad for me because they have been longing in each other for 38 years.
