What a game for Poland. So far they've only loss 2 sets in their 8 matches. One from Serbia and now from USA. So excited with their match with Brazil. The two undefeated teams.

Życzenia jak najbardziej wskazane, ale jednak należy pamiętać, że to 'tylko' VNL - sporo drużyn nie gra pierwszą szóstką, a celem są sukcesy na IO w Paryżu.
@@tomasznawrocki3411 W tej chwili będzie się to zmieniało. Turcja od początku gra w najmocniejszym składzie Brazylia , Chiny, Japonia, już Włochy mają 1 skład, Amerykanki. To tak na szybko, pewnie znalazłby jeszcze z 3 ekipy. Trener Lavarini wybrał taką opcję od początku, a kto jaki skład wystawia nie ma znaczenia. W obecnej dyspozycji nikt z Lavarinim nie wygra, zakończy zmagania 12/12, jedynie Brazylia urwie nam punkt.

A Polônia tem um grande time e chances enormes para derrotar as brasileiras nessa fase. Isso é tranquilo, mas nas finais a história é diferente. Mas o técnico do Brasil quer vencer em qualquer circunstacia esse ano, que se impor na VNL e ir com tudo para as Olimpiadas. A Polônia é forte, mas o Brasil é favorito. Será um grande jogo.

Yeah, we've seen them improving very steadily the last couple VNLs. They were young and made a lot of mistakes, but you could see this current team building even then.
Now they're more seasoned and they're not making many mistakes at all.

How Poland became so strong in such a short period is amazing.
They were like ranking 7 or 8 a few years ago.
Their defense improved so much. Their dig is really good 👍
The answear is simple: maestro Lavarini 😊 He made these girls believe in theirselves and teach them to think like a winner and fight for every ball till the end. There was always a great potential in this team, but it was constantly wasted year after year by the previous trainer... Fortunately everything has changed when Lavarini took the lead. Btw. Poland was 7th in FIVB ranking a few weeks ago, but after their winning marathon in VNL 2024, they've advanced to 3rd place 🎉✨️😊

Everyone is talking about the players and never the coach. We must all be reminded how Lavarini brought S. Korea to the quarter finals against the more favored and powerful teams. Kiraly was outcoached here bigtime.

last year Poland lost to Thailand 2-3, during the 5th set Lavarini at 12-12 kept Gałkowska on the court, with the formation in which he had libero Szczygłowska at the court, it was fatal.

Another very good performance by the Polish team and win in the front of many fans supporting the local team. USA played well but made too many unforced errors. The VW TV could employ neutral commentators rather those who support one team.
You're right, but the match was in Texas, the Arena was filled with 7.000 local supporters, the commentators were probably born in Arlington or Dallas... we can't ask too much.

Sim, a seleção brasileira chegou a final olímpica com várias baixas, que incluíam jogadoras voltando de lesões, como era caso de Natália, suspensa, como Tandara, algumas jogadoras jovens, e sem os grandes nomes do título de 2012.
Infelizmente, não pudemos repetir a rotina, de fazer a equipe dos Estados Unidos se desestabilizar frente ao Brasil, em mais uma final olímpica.

Very proud of my usa girls…poland is olympic ready and Usa learned alot this match and is closer to their olympic level.
I am sure kiraly learned alot in this match so I feel happy that we can move in the right direction. The sets were close and a few things here or there could have made a difference, so this is very close to our olympic team.
Larson to me is playing better than she did last Olympics and that says alot. Larson on a volleyball court is like a fish in water! I really believe that if kiraly retired hentz will coach the national team.
I hope we get to see plummer again as she was not set very much in the sets she played.
Unfortunately, and i’ve seen this prior to this match, Jordan Thompson has not been the same since going to the turkish league and obogu also has not been herself. I’m not sure if its the setting or if its a confidence or personal life thing. Too many ineffectual tips or swinging into the block, its been her story for a while. Most of the time she tips the other team scores.
Avery seems great as usual although she made some errors , she had a slightly lower efficiency than plummer despite plummer getting a little less sets. I really like the larson/robinson with avery/plummer combos.
Lastly, and I know she is a favorite, but wong still looks like she did week one, only with stronger teams like polland it makes her look like a fish OUT of water. Maybe the league she played in was weak and she needs to get used to reading world class hitters. As a libero, she really is struggling to read plays, and isn’t doing libero things for the team. Alot of tips today would have been eaten up by hentz. I hope kiraly gives hentz a chance tomorrow.
The game was awesome to watch in person!! So much excitement.

I have missed this match live, even if I subscribed to VBTV. USA single players (Ratke, Plummer, Wash, JT, KRK, Ogbogu, Larson, etc...) are amazing, I hope they could find a team unity to keep winning important trophies
