#35 'The Thing that Couldn't Die' got taken down shortly after uploading it, and is why it's not on the list and only 93 people got to watch the shortened version I chopped up. NBC Universal never allows it to get on UA-cam and won't budge at all despite my pestering, and that sux because it's a very funny episode and far too many fans of MST3K still haven't got to see it yet. I told them that they can have the ad money from the views it gets, and that's what most of the other copyright owners do because it's kind of stupid to turn down free money when offered. I hope someday they'll change their minds about it (but between you and me, there are a bunch of scenes of it scattered into one of the big compilations).
The Bicycle Song, "Officer Cornjob" and the "Hello, Thank You" exchange give me the giggles. I keep coming back to these condensed/highlight videos; the comedy is rich and tasty. Kudos.
@@faithfulgrl LOL ... Hey, that reminds me of the "Time Chasers" episode--- Future Hobo: "Everybody wants to change history..." Mike: (as Future Hobo) "Me? I just like to find a little beefaroni at the bottom of a can." 😄
:D If I'm remembering right, only Joel's team did the Kaiju flicks and only Mike's team did the Coleman Francis flicks. There should be some giant live reunion-throwdown thing where each finally gets a shot at what they missed the first time. (And then we'll celebrate by smashing scale models of all Tokyo coffee shops.)
I gotta say, badly dubbed as they are, I love these Kaijuu movies! Been watching them since I was little. Add MST3k to the mix, and it’s like ice cream on top of a brownie! Thanks for the “best of” compilations, they’re so fun!
Yeah they always do a great job with the Japanese movies, and I'll be probably doing another one from season 3 sometime soon, but the next one (#38) will be a very funny episode from season 10.
@@LchanOtakudom lol all this talk of desserts. Had me driving to a Diary Queen yesterday. Haven't had a Brownie Delight in a long time! True story. ..haha! So thank you Laura! 👍😊
The policeman said his name was Kondo; the kids call him Kon-chan, which is their way of saying they think of him as a little kid. Which explains this script...
I wonder if it was fun to suit up as Kaiju and wail on models and other dudes in suits. Probably hot AF, but it had to be at least semi-cathartic destroying all those innocent miniatures. edit: 2:56 I never noticed puppet-Crow shushing the little girl, hilarious.
When I was a kid & this movie played on regular tv it was heavily edited. Space Gyos was not killed in that version. He lost his leg. That's it. I didn't see unedited version until I was an adult. Never realized Guiron cut Space Gyos into pieces. 😨
Many old Japanese thrillers with English voiceovers have this quality. Lots of American dubbing seemed a little unsatisfactory in the mid 20th century, especially for the Kaiju films involving giant turtles and monsters. I suspect that if the writers who were translating the script into English had to do a less-than-stellar job, they did. The English subtitled version might be closer to the actual screenplay, if such a thing is available somewhere. It can actually be very amusing. Like when an American actor voices a mature Japanese professor and decides to give the character a typical, cliched Japanese accent. I mean, why?? :D And some of the actors had a habit of saying the lines rapidly, maybe because in many lines there was much to say ... while the actor's mouth is only open briefly on screen.
