Deffinetly dont glue on the bushings! Every run is different, so it's hard to tell. But I prefer the soft bushings on my mercury's. I have thought about playing with hard bushing on my heelside (just up front or outside both bindings) to help lock in heelside turns. Like all adjustability, some is so nuanced most will never notice, but the placebo effect is real, and if you think it helps, it helps!
😕 oh dear. I bought the Now Drive Jeremy Jones edition off ebay and didn't notice the skate tech at all. The lack of customisation options wasn't worth it either really. I genuinely felt as if they made me worse. I'm glad that I didn't buy them full price. The cushioning was amazing though. £300-odd quid is a lot to spend, only to end up disappointed.
Maybe you were too light for the bushings... bushings IMO are there to enable skate tech to work based on your weight and not as they are marketed to change the feel. If you are haeavy then yes you will feel it. In my case being 160lbs i tried the hard bushings and my now select pros felt as a regular binding since the skate tech didn't engage. But with med and soft, I definitely feel the enhancement in edge power.
@ and they change over time. After a few weeks on the soft bushings i could feel a lot of play back an forth. It didn’t feel good flat basing on cat tracks. When i used hard bushings I never felt the skate tech.
Go flat based as you approach a roller, at the last minute crank it hard on your toe edge as you do a backside 180. You'll notice the difference in the Skatetech vs a regular binding right away.
But there is a difference. I run the soft bushings in my Mercury's. They deffinetly have less vibration but don't dig as hard in a turn as the hard bushings. I think people hope for some mind blowing change but what do you really expect from different density rubber?
I didnt use the hard bushings on the Drives, but they would only fit my boots if i switched the ankle straps over. Would anyone recommend these over my 2013 Contact Pros? Everything is super expensive now. I've lost interest in trying to learn freestyle and i want gear that isn't going to cause too much heel / toe drag. UK size 9 boots Jones mountain twin 154 Northwave Decade boots Would the Orions be suitable?

It is good to hear that people are experimenting with the bushings. -TC
I have never changed my bushings because there was no second set in the box.
Yeah, ride multiple Yes bindings, swapped bushings to just "Experiment" there is nil difference.

Switched to the harder bushing on my Drive Pro, the difference is minimal.

@@1Flyingfist if heel toe drag is your main concern, check out flow.
They will be better for all mountain riding than the Contact Pros and would match that set up well. -TC
I put soft bushings on the inner sides to create a pseudo-canting
Did it have an effect?
@ Works for me
