Living in Ja back then was the closest thing to being in heaven. Going to the shop to buy food for my grandma , I had to pass where the music was playing. Forget to buy food, beating for sure😁
I left Jamaica in 1972. I have vivid memories of listening to Cherry Oh Baby on the radio because I had family living in Bog Walk who knew Eric Donaldson and they were so proud of him
1971 was the year I moved to Canada. I will always remember the songs that came out that year cos I was soooooo homesick for the rest of that year and bought all the 45 records that came out that year. I played these songs til I wore out the needle on my little record player.😂
Grew up in Birmingham UK - this is the music of my youth, my first school disco, the first time I heard loud music in the dark... loved your '75 selection, loving this even more! Thanks for posting
