The largest pack in the Jääkäri series. An external frame design for heavy and cumbersome loads, capacity approx. 70 litres, or 80 litres when fully overpacked. Do note that this is only the capacity of the pack itself, with added side pouches and a Hatka 12L quick-detach daypack you can bring the capacity up to 115-120 litres.
PALS webbing on the hip belt, sides, back, lid and bottom of the pack allow you to attach additional pouches and gear. This system offers numerous options for configuring the pack to suit your specific needs. Not only for pouches though, the PALS webbing can also be used to attach straps, elastic cord, carabiners etc.
The hip belt and shoulder harness can both be moved up and down the frame to properly fit 160-200 cm tall users. The external LJK tubular aluminium frame keeps the pack from sagging and transfers the pack weight onto your hips even when loaded down with heavy and cumbersome cargo.
The Jääkäri XL is available in green only, made from our regular Finnish military spec materials offering great NIR performance.

@@vlad5781 Like having essential gear in the small pack. Once your at camp and are making small trips to and from, you can take essential stuff with you instead of hauling it in your large bag.

these savotta products look literally perfect for the wilderness where I live. too bad I already blew all my money on American gear just a month ago
I Just made one of those for a friend. I didn't measure the volume, but it's close to the same size. I chose to use NYCO fabric. I will also make one with 500 Cordura Nylon. That's ripstop fabtic that is used for American military uniforms. However, it's a better camo pattern. It's many times more abrasion resistant than denim. I used PALS webbing for versatility of carry and modularity for use with many packs. Today I put a belt on it and picked food from the garden. The top is a special proprietary cord draw closure. It has one internal pocket and can be used for a sling bag, belt bag or lite weight back pack. When not in use, it can be folded flat and stored in a pocket. The NYCO is Uber light, yet durable. It will take proper bee's wax blend to make it water resistant.
The funny thing is that I ran across this and a review of the same mini pack after I completed the project. I don't believe in coincidences. How cool is that?

I love your kit but because of regulations here i cant use a lot of it, any change of you releasing a line in a multicam/mtp pattern?
If I were to look for brown pouches, which manufacturer would you recommend that is the most matching in color for your brown, aside from your own? I wish the older versions of the smaller pouches also came in brown. Maybe in the future 🤤
Hard to say really, some are more pinkish, some are less saturated and some are more yellowish than ours. Best trick really is just to accept non-perfectly colour matched pouches.

I need some advice. Someone got glitter all over my JÄÄKÄRI L and I can’t get the darn stuff off. I’ve tried tape, washing, and a pressure washer.

Hey, Is it possible to attach Jääkäri S like Hatka in front of the Jääkäri XL/L bag?? Does it work?
You can do it yes, but it won't be as neat and nice. Also since the Jääkäri S doesn't have PALS-webbing quite as high up as the Hatka 12L it will be less sturdily attached at the top.
Looking at your store page and from what I have seen I can't seem to see a option to ship to the USA. Do you offer shipping to the United States of America or am I just out of luck?

I have a complaint. When I try to detach the Katka buckles from ANY of my bags I have a hell of a job doing what should be instantaneous? I'm kinda surprised & trying to imagine soldiers struggling to uncouple with this problem? I'm otherwise happy with all your packs!
