  • Hey good people come on a drive with me around from Centro to the outskirts of Merida Mexico. I'm gonna answer two popular questions: Should you rent a car in Merida? and where to stay in Merida? With this footage, you can pretty much answer that question yourself! But I give you my take having been here for two months without a car and now having one plus staying outside of the city limits for 4 weeks and how I got around.
We've just moved in and are still in the process of making the rental our home! If you'd like to gift us something, you can do that here: www.amazon.com... (it's in Spanish so use a browser instead of the app, your browser will translate it and you'll save on shipping!)

This was such a useful video for me. I’ve been trying to get a sense of the distances between areas in Merida for some time now, without real success. This video has definitely confirmed that living outside the periférico will not suit my needs.
    Thank you

I’m so happy it helps! Yes living outside the Periferico for me needs a car…

Thank you for all the information, please in future videos tell us as much as possible in terms of prices for rentals in different neighborhoods and the amount of time that it takes to get to Centro from those neighborhoods.
    Thanks again 👍

What an excellent video. Good ratio of talking while providing useful info and knowing when to allow the viewer to just enjoy the scenery.
I was a little concerned at times as it looked like you ran through some alto signs or did what we call in Southern California, “a rolling stop.” You handled those runabout areas like a champ.
Would love to see you interview your parents, especially your mom, and ask her about riding the bus and if they enjoy Merida.
Will you be decorating for the holidays? If so, would love to see a video of your family decorating the tree or whatever family traditions you might have to celebrate the holiday season.

Thanks for this. As i prepare my 1-2 year plan, this was very helpful especially since I'm visual. Love that you mentioned sound bath. I love sound baths. A couple of other rental sites that were mentioned in some that I follow were vivanucios and segundamando . I think that's the spellings. Is there a reason that you didn't bring your car? Just curious. I'm trying to get an idea as I did watch a few that brought their car but not sure how it works if you need to leave out and come back when your 6 months are up.
