At the rate things with Stellantis is going, there may not be a Stellantis in the late fall!! I want to thank you both. I just bought a new ‘23 at an amazing deal saving myself $17000 off MSRP ($60k) for a new ‘23 Dodge Durango R/T plus OTD and also had the dealer beat my credit union’s interest rate and financed through STS financial. I learned so much from watching your videos. I did this the right way, and saved my self thousands and having a lower payment for a shorter length of payments. Again, thanks for your site.
In addition to having done as thorough a research as possible on a potential vehicle(s) and knowing what one's credit score and budget are, auto insurance costs also should be checked out before one even thinks about a test drive and purchase or lease of any vehicle. Once all of the aforementioned are done, then and only then should one go ahead with the rest of the process. If a trade-in is involved, one should also know what the book value is of their vehicle that they're looking to trade or sell and how much, if anything, is owed on the vehicle. If nothing else, having done all of the homework prior to test drives and negotiations serves to show a salesperson that the potential buyer is serious and not to be trifled with.
I recently walked out of two ford dealers because the dealerships would not let me know the invoice price and take my offer of 500$ over invoice on a ranger. Feeling good and bad about it .
@@nextuser1 Yeah I thought they would have it ready and willing... 500$ over invoice I thought was not terrible offer ... They thought I was trying to rob them
@@TechJedi29 Not sure about the pricing fot vehicle you want to purchase but for many cars a $1000 delivery fee on top of invoice price is normal. All dealerships want to do is to sell you a car even when you make a good deal. If 2 out of 2 dealerships let you walk out maybe you are making an offer that is below the market.
I found a way to get $2000 more on your trade - When the sales person tells you there is an additional $1999.99 fee for "certification" simply tell them that you need an additional $1999.99 for your trade because you brought your car up to certification standards before you brought it in .
I love my 1999 Land Cruiser, but am ready to buy the new model. Few have been allocated, though, so I’d love to see a video advising folks on how to buy a new car that is in short supply.
We’re considering the RAV4, CRV, and maybe the escape but it’s hard to find the RAV4 so I feel that we’ll be lucky to get one lower than msrp. We’re finding crv’s but not the exact model options. We hadn’t considered the escape but since they are similar in size, we will take a look but it seems hard to find it with awd. Mainly I just wanted to say it’s hard to find a selection in what we want, due to lack of cars on the dealer lots but we won’t pay over msrp! I think the days of getting 4-10k off year end clearance are gone.
Haven't seen much in the way of dealer addons but what do you do about mfg. (on window sticker) addons such as floor mats foe $250 or mud flaps for even more?
I just purchased this week ... a New 2023 Model.. Frontier SV Nissan Truck ..The MSRP was $40,095 Got a TERRIFIC Deal .. OTD for $36,000 I think it was a smoking deal !! As you said .. Start of Fall & End of Month !!! Thanks for your Videos .. Instrumental in getting my deal !!
Just to let you know, about 5 dealers like Mazda won't negotiate on those. In the market for a CX50 and was told the manufacturer installs them, not the dealer so they won't remove them. Forgot who the other 4 are.
Don't forget the power of "no". Just bought a used Nissan Titan, they tried pushing a $1700 maintenance package and $800 GPS tracker. Said all of their cars come with them pre-installed. I said no, got up to go look to see where it was on the truck and like a miracle they "took it off".
What about models that are being discontinued? Example Nissan Titan. Could there be extra incentives due to discontinuation or would it be treated just as any other vehicle?
They're usually are extra incentives for vehicles like that. In some cases if it's viewed as a high performance or collector's car, it could actually be higher.
Wanting to buy a new Hellcat Charger, I was gonna wait till December, will that be a better deal then, or you think they will they be sold out by then?
It was in 97 close out days, but the dealer let me order a 98 F150 since they didn’t have what I wanted at the same price, and I knew exactly what I wanted. Right now, since there are so many F150 on the lots, you’d think they would figure out, they are charging way too much.

Auto insurance costs is an underrated part of the car buying game.

That should be in everyone's consideration!
100% yes - People should always consider insurance and yearly property taxes
Just looked at one online for GMC 1500 Diesel and the "advertised" price with discounts was 1k more than when originally listed back in June

Wish everyone would do this.
Invoice price can be found online if you are willing to pay for it. It is not needed if you know what price would make a good deal.

Great news! Thanks for sharing your story!
What about window sticker ad-ons? Such as carpeted floor mats, first aid kit…
Ask them to take that off the price?

Have y’all seen any deals on the new Forester yet?
Local Ford dealer advertising 2024 Explorers at SAME price as new 2025 Explorers comparably equipped. Normal?
No, not normal. That's a very stupid dealer.

I might buy a CR-V, they want destination and other fees of $1400 just for starters.
Mazda's destination charge went up to
$1420 for 2025 models
I'm a new member and I can't find the list of better dealers. Can you help me find it?

There aren’t going to be any fall deals.
Since we negotiate deals on a daily basis allover the country, we KNOW there are fall deals.

We negotiate a lot of Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Subaru deals. So, again, you're missing the whole truth.
