Yes, one of the most cleverly designed at least. I do prefer something like a VR101 or Giovanola or Poma-Sacmi grip or something like that but the DT is a very cleverly designed grip!

Amazing video, really shows how these work. An excellent demonstration of the physics/mechanical concept of toggle points, seeing the wheel pop down against the lower rail as it passes over-center.
One thing I'm wondering - why did they do this instead of coil springs? I've noticed they've since gone to coil springs with their D-line and other models, but started out with stacked bellville washers, then these torsion springs. Likewise Yan (a brief player in the detachable game) used rubber springs, while Poma has used coil springs all along. Did Poma have a patent on coil springs forcing others to find other solutions until the patent expired?

Where is that blue thick part for at the bottom of the grip?
There are the springs that keep the grip closed and tight.
They are just covers for the springs, the springs are secured with two pins at each end
They are not really springs, more like torsion bars
(but it doesn't really matter lol)

Weißt du zufällig warum mit der Dline Produktionsserie diese Klemmen nicht mehr zum Einsatz kommen ? Ich meine Doppelmayr hat sie ja Jahrzehnte lang eingesetzt, und dazu waren sie vor allem im Vergleich zu den Klemmen der anderen Hersteller die keinen Totpunkt besitzen doch irgendwie vergleichsweise verschleißarm und vielseitig. Und einfach aufgebaut sind sie dazu ja auch.
Warum setzt man jetzt also wieder auf Klemmen mit Schraubfedern anstelle der DT 108 Klemme ?
Uff ich weiss gar nicht warum die Ära der DT zu ende ging.
each tower needs a cable locking mechanism if there is a cable break. Also nothing preventing cable from jumping off tower pulleys - rollers are needed above the cable on each tower.

Wieviel Wartung benötigen eigentlich die 'zig Reifen in so einer Seilbahnstation? Luftdruck etc.?
Ich kann jetzt nur von dieser Bahn sprechen. Wir kontrollieren jeden Monat den Luftdruck, das Lagerspiel, visuelle Kontrolle der Pneus und die Keilriemen auf ihre Spannung, Arbeitsaufwans von 1h pro Station. Jedes Jahr dann müssen wir die Keilriemen spannen, Arbeitsaufwand von 2-4 Tagen. Seit die Bahn in Betrieb ist 2007 mussten wir noch keinen einzigen Pneu ersetzen, dafür ersetzen wir alle Rippbeläge an den Klemmen 2017.
Hihi, die Autoreifen mit dem typischen Profil sind mir auch aufgefallen. Ob die das Matsch&Schnee-Symbol haben konnte ich aber nicht sehen.^^ Vermutlich sind diese Reifen aber das kleinere Problem im Vergleich zu den Rollen auf den Masten.
