My dad gave me a very nice rosary blessed from Itay. My cat was pawing at it and I draped it on her and took pictures. This was her baptism. It was easier than splashing holy water on a cat! Lol.
It's not that I need my pet to be happy. It's that I don't want my pet to not be included. I love my pets and I want them to be happy in eternity not just me
I think Piper misses it on this question, as does John MacArthur. Albeit, I have no empirical evidence, but neither do Piper and MacArthur have empirical evidence for their position. But understanding the attributes of God (i.e. just, holy, loving, righteous), I can't conclude anything but that animals go to heaven. Yes. Humans are unique and made in the image of God. But, for that matter, elephants are unique, too. And elephants are certainly superior in intelligence to that of, say, a cricket. It's true animals lack the understanding we have, but that is precisely why they will all go to heaven, unlike humans who have to choose to believe. Back to the nature and character of God, and back to the Bible. Nowhere does the Bible tell us that animals won't end up in heaven. In fact, the Bible indicates that there will be various forms of life in heaven, that all of creation will praise God in heaven. And the nature and character of God would lead me to believe animals will end up in heaven. Why? If God created animals in the first place, why would he would destroy their souls only to create entirely new souls of animals in heaven that never experienced the sorrows of this earth? Do you think God would have created animals for this earth that experience pain and misery as do humans only to extinguish their souls altogether while having created separate souls of animals for heaven? I firmly believe that the eternal salvation of animals is far more assured than that of humans precisely because they lack the understanding we have as humans and thus commit no sin. Perhaps there are going to be a lot more animals in heaven than there will be humans.

Animals will be there but pets.... i'm not so sure. We really need to stop and look at ourselves honestly for a second and identify our degree of attachments. Technically speaking, everything is an idol or they can be at least. Should we say that anyone's love for sports, careers, money, entertainment, etc is perfectly fine then? Consider that a disabled, non-social person can love videogames because that provides them comfort but most people wouldnt consider that "good". Bottom line here is seeking comfort or too much of it anyway in something other than God is not good and if you think a dead pet must be in heaven well... that level of attachment might be dangerous for your soul. I'd like to point out our society today does have occasional reminders that animals are still in fact very different from humans, no matter how much we believe they "love us". Its tragic to hear about a family dog that mauls and kills a child... but it does happen.
My son asked me this question when he was 6. I told him that God is trustworthy with everything we care about. He cares for everything we do, but much more than we can.
This question seems to always come up when our own pet passes away. We grieve our pet as a loved one, and that questions is often asked as part of the grief process. There is absolutely nothing wrong with grieving the loss of a pet and even praying for our pet. It is reflective of the emotion and capacity to love that God has given us. Once some time has passed, and we are able to continue on, that question does not ring as loudly. For me, the reason for that is because I TRUST GOD and HIS goodness. I don't know the answer to the question of whether our pets will be in Heaven or part of the "new Earth" that is spoken of in Revelation. However, as a Christian, what we DO know is that God is the All-Knowing, All-Powerful,Just, Merciful Creator, just to name a few of His attributes. He is incapable of injustice or evil. Therefore, if anyone has the right to determine these things, it is God and God alone. I'd rather have HIM be the One who determines destinies and absolutely no one else! He alone is Worthy. Who else would you rather determine these things? A president or other world leader? A famous entertainer? A politician? A robot? You? Me? I say none of the above. Only God is able to determine all of these things with mercy as well as justice. The truth is we do not know thae answers to many questions, and neither does John Piper or any other "person". God reveals to us what we need and should know, and the rest we trust HIM on.
I lost my cat today. I only had him for almost nine months and it pains me. I saw how he struggled and fought until the end. I felt like he didn't wants to go but he had no choice. He couldn't take it anymore. What i want right now is his happiness. I want him to go to heaven and play around with other pets without experiencing sickness nor pain. I already miss him so much.
Mine died right now,he was about 1 year old,it all happened in 1 minute,one minute my cat was playing and having fun next minute my mum is trying to wake him up and he is gasping for air every 3 seconds
My nine yr old loving friend and companion Rottweiler dog who had a heart of gold was struggling with cancer of the spleen that had spread to the liver and lungs we were together 24 on 24 she fought hard to hang on and stay with me ♥️I whispered in her ear to go to Jesus where she would be well and happy again and not to worry about me I would be okay until we meet again . I feel the same as you. My 16 year old I once in a lifetime dog died yesterday. I loved her more than I love most people. I owe her so much. I just think right now that as much as I love her, Jesus had to love her more. Part of my heart is missing. I miss her and the pain is excruciating. Sending you love and understanding.x

It is well documented in scripture that animals are in heaven which is our temporary home before we return with LORD via riding on horseback to rule and reign with Him. I’m going to have to put my precious cat Sam down at the vet tomorrow. He has been with me for 11 years and he’s probably older than that. The poor guy has lost control of his bowels and can barely stand up. I don’t want to imagine eternity without that cat or any of the other wonderful animals I’ve had in my life. But Sam has been in a special place in my heart for a long while now. And now I’m starting to cry. T_T

to both Clint and Kelley I feel terrible for both of you. when one learns they must put down their beloved pet that is one of the most unique, horrible feeling of pain you can feel. I have been there many times and will be there many times in the future . you will be reunited with both Sam and Spitz in heaven . I have faith that our Lord is a loving God and if your furry friends gave you so much joy you can bet they will be waiting for you . that is just the way God rolls .
We had to make the decision to put my baby down this past monday she had cancer she had stopped eating and drinking water and could not move the vet said there's was nothing we could do this pain will never go away she gave us 15 years of her life and we gave her all the love our spoiled little princess.
Animals don't need salvation because they did not rebel against God and sin in the Garden of Eden like man did. Animals are not created in God's image, but they are part of His creation, under His dominion. Saying animals wouldnt be in Heaven would be like saying there won't be any trees in Heaven. I don't think so...but just my opinion. In reality, I think those of us who are saved will be so overwhelmed with worship and joy of the Lord, our beloved pets won't be a high priority. Piper said he believes animals WILL be in Heaven for the very reason you pointing out: why create an entire part of creation here on Earth only to then exclude them in the New Heaven and Earth. Your point about adoring God so much that we mind that our individual pets are not there is well taken.
there are animals in heaven but they are spiritual creatures and never had a physical body. Animals on earth are of earth and will be recreated for the new heaven and new earth the ones we see now won't be there. These will be brand new versions made that have not been nor will be touched by sin but will be there with us so that we may enjoy them as they were meant to be enjoyed in the first place. We will still have dominion over them and they will still be the way they are now but eternal with absolutely no violent behavior in fact lions will be led by children and will eat grass.
Pets have spirits not souls, I believe animals will be heaven, because the spirits of the living return to God, why would God give us pets, family, and not let us see them again.

Plus I am talking about actual Spirits WE have that IS a temple of the Holy Spirit and can fully connect with God, and are like the spiritual beings (angels and devils). Explanation: Hebrew, which the bible is mainly translated from has many definitions of 'spirit' but take all of those out except one and leave this SPIRIT humans have and that would mean pets do not have this spirit. I don't think the spiritual law applies to them because of this. We are animals and not animals at the same time. 1. We have a body that is material and like the physical realm; 2. We have a soul that can connect with and is like other created life(animals);3. We have a spirit that is like spiritual beings in the HIGH PLACES . Evidence and Analysis: Only man received the breath of God. In this way, he was given a spirit (Eccles. 12:7; 1 Thess. 5:23) so that he transcends the world of the animals. It is said only about man that he was not only created “by God,” but also “for Him” (Col. 1:16). This high purpose is only ascribed to man. Animals are also creatures of God, but they did not receive the calling to become children of God (John 1:12). In contrast to the animals, man is an eternal being; this means that his existence never ends, even after the death of the body (Luke 16:19-31). An imperishable body will be raised from the perishable one (1 Cor. 15:42). Conclusion: I don't know for sure where each animal goes after death. I'm not God. However for sure (even if they supposedly have one) don't have a spirit like ours. We have free will and likeness of God no other beast of the field and bird of the air has and that implies we have no excuse, hence why the spiritual law applies to us in contrast to the animals. There is nothing in the Bible that indicates animals can be saved, can sin like a human, or have any concept of spiritual things. Yes, they play and sing and frolic and do all sorts of things that seem to relate to their Creator with joy. But this does not mean there is a spiritual connection to God or some deep intellectual understanding of what is happening in their lives.
Before my grandfather died he talked to his dead relatives, including his dogs that have passed on. He told his brother I’ll see you tomorrow and died that night. That experience gave me great comfort knowing I will see my dogs again. 🥰🐾

There is no Biblical evidence supporting our reunion with pets in Heaven. The best we can do is hope. Then again, when we're with Jesus in Heaven nothing else will matter. Everything else will seem small in comparison to finally being with our Lord for all eternity.

Thanks for this. I wish I hadn't listened to Pastor John. The Bible doesn't say what happens to animals after they die, so I don't see where his certainty comes from. Perhaps he's not a dog person, but I lost mine today after 16 years, and this verse was a comfort to me
That scripture just means that God provides for animals in the earth. It does not mean that animals receive salvation or go to heaven. You have to use the scripture in context and doctrine is line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little. You can't just take one scripture and make it doctrine.

Pets are GODS CREATION! He loves His creation and loves the impact pets has had on humans. It's an overwhelming bond that God delights in. I see no reason that pets will not be in Heaven. There is not one scripture that convinces me otherwise.
Ecclesiastes 3:21 "Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?" Scriptures in Isaiah 11 and Isaiah 65 are referring to the Millennial Rein if you read it in context. If your pet could go to heaven then so must all his fleas and all the ticks and fleas from all ages. There are created beasts in heaven but it is clear that none of the creatures from the earth except humans will be.

God has creation in the palm of his hand and it holds together by his will alone. He commanded creation and breathed life into being. He knew you and he knew your fur babies long before existing because they all came from him. We know all good and pure gifts come from above. Isn't a dog for instance one of the most perfect animal creations? The only beast that will love man unconditionally, forgive and even lay down their lives for us just like Jesus did. He who sat on the throne said "Behold, I make all things new." I'm gonna hold him to it lol. We are stewards of his creation. Why would he not want to reunite us with beloved pets when he is kind, loving, compassionate, and will wipe away our tears personally in his presence? Nothing is impossible for him.

U can tell this man is not a huge animal lover but if God took his precious time to design these animals and let his the first ever man Adam to name ever animal in the garden of Eden ! Many people say that there is nothing in the Bible to say that animals go to Heaven, but there are many scriptures that allude to the promise. The Bible deals specifically with the fall of man, sin, God’s plan for the redemption of mankind and their need for a Saviour in Jesus Christ. Animals did not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and are therefore innocent, but because of our sin, they live under God’s judgement on all creation. God loves them too and many people have had dreams and vision of their pets and animals in Heaven. 🐈🐕🐴🐇🐒🌈✝️

Recently, a Hospice nurse shared the final words from people just before their deaths. Most reported seeing loved ones who said they had come to help them make the transition to the next life. Many also reported seeing their former pets as well. The nurse said these patients were not impaired by drugs or experiencing psychotic episodes. I hope to see all my dogs when I get to Heaven because it wouldn’t be Heaven if they weren’t there.
God should be the only reason you want to be in Heaven because He is there. Yes, seeing our past pets in heaven would be great, but if you're putting your past pets over God, then you won't even see heaven in the first place. God should be your greatest treasure!

It wouldn't be heaven if they weren't there? This is nonsense. Heaven is heaven because Christ is there. And that should be the main reason for why you want to be there.
Some of you commentators clearly never had a pet that you loved. I believe He shows His love through pets aswell because they give love and that love is what God created. Why would He destroy them when He used then for their love. He knows if you truly love pet He will give them back to us because He loves us.

Gosh I use to really love John Piper. He sounds so condescending at the end. Made me angry. It is not spiritually perilous. The Lord filled my heart with that love for my dog. She died last night. I promised her I'd find her. And I will. I believe Jesus not man. Jesus loves us. We will not be disappointed.

Yes, our Fur babies will be there. We will see them. Thing is, our furry friends get a free pass. When God made the animals, HE saw that it was good. Animals may not need salvation...that's because they are filled, treated rightly of course, with what God is. God is love. I'm still gonna cry my eyes out when we have to put our Fur baby down, but I have found some comfort in God's word. HE wouldn't make them for us to love, then grieve over for all eternity.

When God also created animals on the 6th Day, did He intended them to live forever as well even though they were to be subjected to Man's dominion?? OF COURSE! They were only meant to be "food" only after the fall and before that they were not meant to be at all because in Genesis 1:29 & 30, He specifically said that "herbs" and fruits will be Man's AND Animal's food. There is no problem for God to "re-create" or even "preserve" that same pet of ours that has passed away or any other animals in Heaven or on the New Earth and many Christians have no problems in believing that, even the living pets WILL be "transformed" as well on the day of the Rapture! ( even though they may have different eternal bodies that will be different from or is of another "type" than the humans ). Don't forget that in Noah's day, God "took" animals as well and there were actually more animals than human beings on the Ark ( LOL! ) and we are told that the Rapture will be liken to Noah's time! Nothing is impossible for God, even this.......Just believe and have faith in Him to do this as well and thank Him for it now first....

Yes and Amen! We just lost our dear dog Maximoose on Thursday the 30th of April 2020. We would be even more devestated if we didn't hope and believe to see him or any animals in heaven. It just cannot be that our Creator would just throw them away. He loves animals too, would not have gone through all the trouble of creating them, saving them in the Arc. Plus he has a covenant with us and creation and will redeem.

I think anything you love and makes you happy will be in heaven. Anyone who has had a dog as a companion pet knows they have some kind of a little soul.
Cats too. My cats saved my life literally when my husband died. Cats and dogs have breath and blood and can communicate and love us. Look at all the times that dogs and cats have saved the life of the person they love.I do not believe that they will be left to die and rot. This is a time when our cats and dogs are our children. And never will I eat my cat. NEVER, all you have to do is look into her eyes and you see her soul.❤
I BELIEVE WE WILL see our pets in heaven. Cats and dogs, birds .I've owned all 3 and I've realized that they have FEELINGS JUST LIKE HUMANS .they hurt, CRY, show gladness, joy ,sorrow . WE comfort them as they comfort us. THEY LOVE IS AS WE LOVE THEM.

I love animals. And of course I want my dog in heaven with me. But besides hanging out with Jesus, I think it’d be cool to hang with some lions, tigers, and bears in heaven ☺️
It's not the point of "needing" an animal for eternity, it's about wanting their love & companionship. Obviously John isn't an animal lover. Dog are blessings of God to many people, representing unconditional love and forgiveness. and I hope that they will get to meet us in heaven.

We will see our pets again in heaven. While in my prayers i have petitioned GOD and felt the Holy Spirit on that issue and ive been given visions of them while consious in prayer & dreams of them. GOD has let me know that i will see my pets again. You will see yours again too.

Soul of.animals n man r different but I would think our furry babies would be part of my welcoming committee. I wanna c my pets. They have personalities, they love unconditionally more than man could love. So I will hope in God that I will reunite w my furry babies.
In the bible it clearly states that humans dont have priority over animals. Just look at the story of Noah. God loves animals so much that he made sure that a Male and female from every species was saved. Animals are innocent and they dont have a conscious so of course God will make sure our animals are in heaven with us. God is so good!!!!

Jeffrey Phillip's...why would God make a covenant with animals just like he did with us if they werent equally as important? Why would he instruct Noah to gather up a Male and female from every species to be saved from the flood?? I'm pretty sure that God makes it pretty clear the whole way thru the bible that we are here to be stewards to our animals and not owners. We dont have authority to do what we wish with Gods creatures. If animals arent important to him then why in heaven does the lion lay down with the lamb? @@tc4905, the verses you list do not establish a covenant about equal importance. In fact, at the end of Matthew 6:26 Jesus rhetorically asks, "Are you not much more valuable than they?" He is reminding people of God's special relationship with humanity. Animals ARE important to God, but He established a hierarchy that can't be denied. HOWEVER, I agree with you that killing them for food to the billions that we do annually is NOT honoring to God as Author of Creation. Regarding our relationship with animals on the New Earth ... clearly, this will be restored to the original state of Creation. So, many things will change. We will, I would suspect, revert back to our original plant-based diet devoid of animal foods.
Proof that animals go to Heaven: 1. Animals clearly understand Love, therefore by definition they know God. Any creature who knows God must have a Soul and so must go to Heaven 2. It always surprises me how often people forget the most fundamental attribute of God; nothing is impossible with God. If animals do not already go to Heaven, all we have to do is ask. And God will say "Certainly. Why didn't you ask me before? (click) It's done."
I want to share this story whenever and wherever I can. It's so encouraging... When my Benny crossed the Rainbow Bridge (I always say, he was "alived"), I thought I'd turn inside out I was crying so hard. I was 57 and I thought I'd die of a broken heart. My husband was also heartbroken. We would collapse on each others shoulder sobbing. Once that initial shock eased up, I began to realize some things. Actually, I think it was the first day, I felt this strong earth-to-heaven connection. I realized it was the love we shared between us. It was like a beam of light from my heart to his and back again. Almost tangible. That bond of love doesn't break when you're angel goes to the Other Side. You're forever connected. You can believe this or not, but when Benny's body was lying there on the vet's table (we'd rushed there at midnight), suddenly I heard what sounded like a toddler laughing. I might have thought it was just my imagination, but it was as if that laugh was flying around the room and around me in a wide circle, like speakers surrounding me. Instantly, I knew it was Benny because when he was young and his heart was strong, he loved running in a circle. He would go around and around with this huge smile on his little Chihuahua face. So it was understandable to me that, once he was out of that sick body (cacoon), he was as free as a puppy again and running like mad! Then I remembered my husband had a dream just a couple of months before Benny was alived. He dreamed that he was in a room and suddenly he sees Benny waddling by. He said he looked and said, "Is that Benny?" and he said Benny looked at him and said in a toddler's voice (the same one I heard), "Yes, it's Benny." Then he woke up. Months went by and I was still grieving, but we had several supernatural, but softly so, experiences with Benny. One after the other. I remember walking outside, and feeling like what I can only describe as little “butterflies” of happiness fluttering in my heart. Very unusual and something I've never experienced before or since. When I wondered what was happening, it was like a voice saying, Benny is happy and he's projecting it to you. Then I realized it was because I was about to meet my husband, and Benny loved it when all 3 of us were together. His little pack was complete. I promise you, you're little angel is okay and most likely flying around you as close as possible. I know this is long, but I appreciated reading anything that would help me. So here are some other things that comforted me when I could no longer cuddle my "little love" as I called him. God got me through it. He helped me learn how to navigate through it. First, I cried my eyes out. Sobbed so much that our big dog, Max, came over and was licking my face to comfort me. I was lying on the floor, flat on my back. It helped tremendously to just let the tears flow and release the pressure. Not to "try to be brave". But I talked to God about it and he showed me clearly to stop reviewing the images of Benny's passing. As though it was taking place over and over and over. It was on a loop, but I decided firmly to get off the loop and then I had the thought, “Don't think about his death, think about his life.” It took me a couple of days to get that under control. It was a tight-rope walk at first. But I got my balance via faith. Then this sweet thought popped up, "He's not in your past, he's in your future." That thought helped me so much to not feel this sorrow about past joys being lost. Future joys are coming! After having had an NDE in 1969, I believe in heaven because I've seen it. I saw Jesus and I know our pets go there. The real world is coming and there will be “no more tears.” (Revelation 21:4) Ignore people who say things that make you feel worse. “It's just a dog.” is a common term. No. Not “just” a dog, but a cherished family member. Don't hold it against them. They want to help, but they can't. Just grieve your own way. Another thought came to me that the grief goes as deep as the love. But having said that, another point that helped, was realizing that I won't be betraying or breaking my love for my angel, by taking a deep breath and getting a bit above the pain. If you have faith, it helps, but it's still tough. I cried off and on for a year. But you'll know when you're overdoing it because you'll feel it's too much. I would take a break by watching a funny movie, for example. It's not betrayal, or showing that you're “getting over it”. I know these weird thoughts his when you're grieving. There's a balance to everything. You'll know when you need to get a grip. Watch a funny video. Never a sad one. In the 90s, I was going through a really hard time in my life and I was extremely lonely. But my Chihuahua, Honey, pulled me up out of it early one morning by licking violently inside my ear like she always did when she wanted me to get up. I did wake up and looked around for her, then I remembered I didn't have a dog. Honey, had crossed the Rainbow Bridge 30 years before, but she was allowed to come back and comfort me. I just wanted to add that because it really really helps to know you'll see your earth angel again some day. Keep in mind (despite the guilt that always hits us) that no one could have loved your angel like you did. No one. No one could have been a better pet parent than you were and you'll see your angel again. Remembering these thoughts will help you limp through till you start seeing it all from an eternal perspective. You'll realize that this separation is only for a short while. I will pray for you also that God will let your angel get some messages through to you. A warm e-hug.
And there was no flesh eating at that time. We were given a vegetarian diet. Which clearly shows God's intent for mankind and all creation: peace and harmony, non-violence, love, kindness, respect. For this guy to claim animals are nothing but food for us just shows how unwise he is, at least on this topic.
God’s making a new heaven and a new earth. You really think he’s not including earth-like or already existing creation in that after he’s seen it was good? Maybe this is what becomes of those animals that we bond with or just animals period. Maybe they’ll be brought there with us.
I lost my dog today. I know I will not NEED my dog who I loved dearly in Heaven; Christ’s love will overwhelm me. But if we simply HOPE they will be there as a gift; will they be there in heaven in the place Christ prepared for us?

How can pets not go to heaven? In my opinion, they do have a soul. They are able to express emotions (happiness, sadness, anger., etc.) and know if they’ve done something wrong. They are conscious of what is going on and their surroundings.
No they arent. They dont have consciousness. They dont have a spirit the way humans do. They dont have a sense of remorse or self existence. They just operate on instict to eat, shit, piss, shed and breed and contaminate the evironment around them and they dont even understand that this is what they are doing.
Animals are referenced so many times in the Bible. This leads me to believe that God truly loves them. Animals were present when Jesus was born, his death. They were a large part of the narrative. They were the former means of salvation before the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Heaven wont be the heaven I expect without my pets. ALL blood n life goes back to God. He knows our hearts n how much our pets mean to us n how much we mean to them. My 15 yr old cat is my best buddy. I cant imagine eternity without him.

A baby bird broke his wing severely yesterday and I cared for him up until we had to we had to get a vet to put him out of his suffering, I hope he gets to experience a heaven.

I lost my beloved dog two nights ago. I prayed for her, I covered her with The Blood of The Lamb JesusChrist. She understood when I mentioned The Divine Mercy of GOD. I hope she us happy in heaven.

Judgement is not redemption. Animals die, but that doesn't bring salvation to them: Heb 10:4 "For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." If they will be in the new heaven, which will be on the new earth (Rev 21:1-5) it is because God creates them afresh. It won't be animals raised from the dead like redeemed humans.
Dan Ball You make eisegesis. The verse you took from Hebrew applies to our Lord, Priest and King Jesus and his eternal atonement. If God doesn't provide resurrection to the animals, why would he resurrect the humans. He could simply make a better humanity. Your theory fails the entire redemption plan.
Pastor John, I would have liked for you to reference Romans 8 where it says "the creation awaits the children of God". ALL Creation will at last have worthy care-takers with Christ at the top reigning and will enjoy the glorious freedom in the Millenium. I do believe in the literal Millenium where Isaiah 11, 55 will come to fruition. I don't believe that SPECIFIC pets, my Mac or my Ginger ... I've had plenty of pets and still do ... will be raised from the dead to accompany us there, BUT who knows? God always has a way of surprising us, doesn't He?

We are part of God’s family. We are sons and daughters of the King. I believe he wants us to be happy as possible, so having our pets in eternity would be an added treat, and our smiles would bring joy to God. But honestly once I get there, I don’t think my pets will be on my mind. I will be in so much awe.
Last night I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog. I believe she is there now, in Heaven. She has been a blessing and will greatly be missed in my family. She had such a character. I do believe they have souls. I can't wait to see her again. Animals have not fallen so I do believe they enter. They don't need redemption because they are good in God's eyes when He created the world and they did not sin. What kind of God that says He loves us and then He won't let us reunite with our pets. Recently my pet chihuahua died :( I'm crying so much she was a delicate little dog she wasn't as wild nor lazy she was gentle she loved kids and protected them she died from birth she had here first puppy but she left it so I knew something was wrong I took her to the vet and they said there's nothing they can do i didn't want her to be put down so I left her to give birth this is the real sad part before she died she waited for me she cried one last time and she past away I cried so much that I miss her it was to late the pups died along with her so I made her a nice grave made of stone and pearl the poor thing it gave me look like she was saying help me then she.... died I was heartbroken but I want to see her once more I will never get a dog like her R.I.P My sandy we will miss you no dog will ever be like you I must of been cursed because she was healthy fine dog I can't wait until I surcome to death i want to see her once again she'll have new friends in heaven now:( 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It wouldn’t make sense to me, to acknowledge animals that have no relationship to humans such as those described in Isaiah, serpents, cows, lions, lambs, wolfs, etc WOULD be in heaven, but beloved pets whom we have a relationship with WOULD NOT be in heaven. That doesn’t really make sense. I know the Bible is not specific on pets, however what reason would God refuse a dog or cat entrance, but allow a cow? Just doesn’t seem plausible. We know in 2 Samuel that the man had a small ewe that was like a daughter. That seems a pretty personal relationship. And one God acknowledges. So we know He cares for the animals in which we love and develop a bond. To say they cease to exist is pretty ridiculous.
What about: "Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the earth?" (Ecclesiastes 3:21). Pets will be there.

It would not be heaven without them. Dogs are so very special and they show so much love and affection to us. The only way it would be possible to not have our beloved pet there would be for God to wipe away our tears and let us remember them briefly, then erase them from our minds forever as I believe will be done for our loved ones who don't make it.

Not that I’m comparing animals to humans. The fact is or many people they have as much love for their pets as they do for humans because they just see the innocence in these creatures and the loyalty and relationship one develops with their pet is so strong. I agree our love for God and relationship with the Father should be far ahead of that with out pets. I still do see Gods glory being shown through our relationships with all creatures. This doesn’t help us determine whether our pets will be in heaven though but I do agree that complete confidence in believing that heaven will be the most glorious expression of Gods love for his creation is vital
Saddens me to see this. I'm a Christian and won't put my pets above God in my heart. We're having to think about one of our precious dogs. We got a grim diagnosis today. We're dealing with it petty hard and we'll really miss her. I do hope that one day we'll see her again
The Bible talks about animals being in Heaven in a couple verses . When I was a kid I was told they didn’t have souls so they don’t go to Heaven . I most definitely think I’ll see my pets again

Are animals going to be in Heaven - of course !!! Ephesians 1 : 9 - 10 Colossians 1 : 19 - 20 For animals are innocent & not fallen like man. So through the fall of Adam & Eve, animals who were under our dominion had the tragic consequences of our fall. But through the full redemption of Jesus Christ animals are now fully saved by Him. They are not deliberate sinners as humans, they all want to be with Him in Heaven. Make no mistake, humanity is made in the image of God, but that does not mean that God does not love His animals that He has made, each with their own individually unique nose print & paw print.
Also Genesis 1 describes nephesh animals. Nephesh means soulish animals. They have mind, emotions and will. But man does not only have a soul, he has a spirit. Animals can form relationships with people, but people can form a relationship with God because we are body soul and spirit.

I think Piper misses it on this question, as does John MacArthur. Albeit, I have no empirical evidence, but neither do Piper and MacArthur have empirical evidence for their position. But understanding the attributes of God (i.e. just, holy, loving, righteous), I can't conclude anything but that animals go to heaven. Yes. Humans are unique and made in the image of God. But, for that matter, elephants are unique, too. And elephants are certainly superior in intelligence to that of, say, a cricket. It's true animals lack the understanding we have, but that is precisely why they will all go to heaven, unlike humans who have to choose to believe. Back to the nature and character of God, and back to the Bible. Nowhere does the Bible tell us that animals won't end up in heaven. In fact, the Bible indicates that there will be various forms of life in heaven, that all of creation will praise God in heaven. And the nature and character of God would lead me to believe animals will end up in heaven. Why? If God created animals in the first place, why would he would destroy their souls only to create entirely new souls of animals in heaven that never experienced the sorrows of this earth? Do you think God would have created animals for this earth that experience pain and misery as do humans only to extinguish their souls altogether while having created separate souls of animals for heaven? I firmly believe that the eternal salvation of animals is far more assured than that of humans precisely because they lack the understanding we have as humans and thus commit no sin. Perhaps there are going to be a lot more animals in heaven than there will be humans.

We really need to stop and look at ourselves honestly for a second and identify our degree of attachments. Technically speaking, everything is an idol or they can be at least. Should we say that anyone's love for sports, careers, money, entertainment, etc is perfectly fine then? Consider that a disabled, non-social person can love videogames because that provides them comfort but most people wouldnt consider that "good".
Bottom line here is seeking comfort or too much of it anyway in something other than God is not good and if you think a dead pet must be in heaven well... that level of attachment might be dangerous for your soul.
I'd like to point out our society today does have occasional reminders that animals are still in fact very different from humans, no matter how much we believe they "love us". Its tragic to hear about a family dog that mauls and kills a child... but it does happen.

My son asked me this question when he was 6. I told him that God is trustworthy with everything we care about. He cares for everything we do, but much more than we can.
This question seems to always come up when our own pet passes away. We grieve our pet as a loved one, and that questions is often asked as part of the grief process. There is absolutely nothing wrong with grieving the loss of a pet and even praying for our pet. It is reflective of the emotion and capacity to love that God has given us. Once some time has passed, and we are able to continue on, that question does not ring as loudly. For me, the reason for that is because I TRUST GOD and HIS goodness. I don't know the answer to the question of whether our pets will be in Heaven or part of the "new Earth" that is spoken of in Revelation. However, as a Christian, what we DO know is that God is the All-Knowing, All-Powerful,Just, Merciful Creator, just to name a few of His attributes. He is incapable of injustice or evil. Therefore, if anyone has the right to determine these things, it is God and God alone. I'd rather have HIM be the One who determines destinies and absolutely no one else! He alone is Worthy. Who else would you rather determine these things? A president or other world leader? A famous entertainer? A politician? A robot? You? Me? I say none of the above. Only God is able to determine all of these things with mercy as well as justice. The truth is we do not know thae answers to many questions, and neither does John Piper or any other "person". God reveals to us what we need and should know, and the rest we trust HIM on.
I lost my cat today. I only had him for almost nine months and it pains me.
I saw how he struggled and fought until the end. I felt like he didn't wants to go but he had no choice. He couldn't take it anymore. What i want right now is his happiness. I want him to go to heaven and play around with other pets without experiencing sickness nor pain. I already miss him so much.

I’m going to have to put my precious cat Sam down at the vet tomorrow. He has been with me for 11 years and he’s probably older than that. I have been there many times and will be there many times in the future . you will be reunited with both Sam and Spitz in heaven . We had to make the decision to put my baby down this past monday she had cancer she had stopped eating and drinking water and could not move the vet said there's was nothing we could do this pain will never go away she gave us 15 years of her life and we gave her all the love our spoiled little princess.
Animals don't need salvation because they did not rebel against God and sin in the Garden of Eden like man did. Animals are not created in God's image, but they are part of His creation, under His dominion. Saying animals wouldnt be in Heaven would be like saying there won't be any trees in Heaven. I don't think so...but just my opinion. In reality, I think those of us who are saved will be so overwhelmed with worship and joy of the Lord, our beloved pets won't be a high priority. there are animals in heaven but they are spiritual creatures and never had a physical body. Animals on earth are of earth and will be recreated for the new heaven and new earth the ones we see now won't be there. These will be brand new versions made that have not been nor will be touched by sin but will be there with us so that we may enjoy them as they were meant to be enjoyed in the first place. We will still have dominion over them and they will still be the way they are now but eternal with absolutely no violent behavior in fact lions will be led by children and will eat grass.

Animals have souls, they don't have spirits. Plus I am talking about actual Spirits WE have that IS a temple of the Holy Spirit and can fully connect with God, and are like the spiritual beings (angels and devils).

Hebrew, which the bible is mainly translated from has many definitions of 'spirit' but take all of those out except one and leave this SPIRIT humans have and that would mean pets do not have this spirit. I don't think the spiritual law applies to them because of this. We are animals and not animals at the same time. 1. We have a body that is material and like the physical realm; 2. We have a soul that can connect with and is like other created life(animals);3. We have a spirit that is like spiritual beings in the HIGH PLACES .

Conclusion:
I don't know for sure where each animal goes after death. I'm not God. However for sure (even if they supposedly have one) don't have a spirit like ours. We have free will and likeness of God no other beast of the field and bird of the air has and that implies we have no excuse, hence why the spiritual law applies to us in contrast to the animals.
There is nothing in the Bible that indicates animals can be saved, can sin like a human, or have any concept of spiritual things. Yes, they play and sing and frolic and do all sorts of things that seem to relate to their Creator with joy. But this does not mean there is a spiritual connection to God or some deep intellectual understanding of what is happening in their lives.
Before my grandfather died he talked to his dead relatives, including his dogs that have passed on. He told his brother I’ll see you tomorrow and died that night. That experience gave me great comfort knowing I will see my dogs again. 🥰🐾

That scripture just means that God provides for animals in the earth. It does not mean that animals receive salvation or go to heaven. You have to use the scripture in context and doctrine is line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little. You can't just take one scripture and make it doctrine.

It's an overwhelming bond that God delights in. I see no reason that pets will not be in Heaven. There is not one scripture that convinces me otherwise.
When did you ever read in the Bible where Jesus preached, healed, or ministered to a dog or any animal for that matter?

Scriptures in Isaiah 11 and Isaiah 65 are referring to the Millennial Rein if you read it in context. If your pet could go to heaven then so must all his fleas and all the ticks and fleas from all ages. There are created beasts in heaven but it is clear that none of the creatures from the earth except humans will be.
We are meant to eat animals - and if they had souls we would not be allowed to eat them -

God has creation in the palm of his hand and it holds together by his will alone. He commanded creation and breathed life into being. He knew you and he knew your fur babies long before existing because they all came from him. We know all good and pure gifts come from above. Isn't a dog for instance one of the most perfect animal creations? The only beast that will love man unconditionally, forgive and even lay down their lives for us just like Jesus did. He who sat on the throne said "Behold, I make all things new." I'm gonna hold him to it lol. We are stewards of his creation. Why would he not want to reunite us with beloved pets when he is kind, loving, compassionate, and will wipe away our tears personally in his presence? Nothing is impossible for him.

Many people say that there is nothing in the Bible to say that animals go to Heaven, but there are many scriptures that allude to the promise. The Bible deals specifically with the fall of man, sin, God’s plan for the redemption of mankind and their need for a Saviour in Jesus Christ. Animals did not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and are therefore innocent, but because of our sin, they live under God’s judgement on all creation. God loves them too and many people have had dreams and vision of their pets and animals in Heaven. 🐈🐕🐴🐇🐒🌈✝️

Recently, a Hospice nurse shared the final words from people just before their deaths. Most reported seeing loved ones who said they had come to help them make the transition to the next life. Many also reported seeing their former pets as well. The nurse said these patients were not impaired by drugs or experiencing psychotic episodes. I hope to see all my dogs when I get to Heaven because it wouldn’t be Heaven if they weren’t there.
God should be the only reason you want to be in Heaven because He is there. Yes, seeing our past pets in heaven would be great, but if you're putting your past pets over God, then you won't even see heaven in the first place. God should be your greatest treasure!

Gosh I use to really love John Piper. He sounds so condescending at the end. Made me angry. It is not spiritually perilous. The Lord filled my heart with that love for my dog. She died last night. Animals may not need salvation...that's because they are filled, treated rightly of course, with what God is. God is love. I'm still gonna cry my eyes out when we have to put our Fur baby down, but I have found some comfort in God's word. HE wouldn't make them for us to love, then grieve over for all eternity.

When God also created animals on the 6th Day, did He intended them to live forever as well even though they were to be subjected to Man's dominion?? OF COURSE! They were only meant to be "food" only after the fall and before that they were not meant to be at all because in Genesis 1:29 & 30, He specifically said that "herbs" and fruits will be Man's AND Animal's food. There is no problem for God to "re-create" or even "preserve" that same pet of ours that has passed away or any other animals in Heaven or on the New Earth and many Christians have no problems in believing that, even the living pets WILL be "transformed" as well on the day of the Rapture! ( even though they may have different eternal bodies that will be different from or is of another "type" than the humans ).
Don't forget that in Noah's day, God "took" animals as well and there were actually more animals than human beings on the Ark ( LOL! ) and we are told that the Rapture will be liken to Noah's time! Nothing is impossible for God, even this.......Just believe and have faith in Him to do this as well and thank Him for it now first....

We just lost our dear dog Maximoose on Thursday the 30th of April 2020. We would be even more devestated if we didn't hope and believe to see him or any animals in heaven. It just cannot be that our Creator would just throw them away. He loves animals too, would not have gone through all the trouble of creating them, saving them in the Arc. Plus he has a covenant with us and creation and will redeem.

Cats too. My cats saved my life literally when my husband died. Cats and dogs have breath and blood and can communicate and love us. Look at all the times that dogs and cats have saved the life of the person they love.I do not believe that they will be left to die and rot. This is a time when our cats and dogs are our children. We will see our pets again in heaven. While in my prayers i have petitioned GOD and felt the Holy Spirit on that issue and ive been given visions of them while consious in prayer & dreams of them. GOD has let me know that i will see my pets again. You will see yours again too.

The worst part about having pets is saying goodbye to them:( I still miss my cat terribly, but the pain has become bearable and I've gotten used to the fact that he's gone...

In the bible it clearly states that humans dont have priority over animals. Just look at the story of Noah. God loves animals so much that he made sure that a Male and female from every species was saved. @@tc4905, the verses you list do not establish a covenant about equal importance. In fact, at the end of Matthew 6:26 Jesus rhetorically asks, "Are you not much more valuable than they?" He is reminding people of God's special relationship with humanity. Animals ARE important to God, but He established a hierarchy that can't be denied. HOWEVER, I agree with you that killing them for food to the billions that we do annually is NOT honoring to God as Author of Creation. Regarding our relationship with animals on the New Earth ... clearly, this will be restored to the original state of Creation. So, many things will change. We will, I would suspect, revert back to our original plant-based diet devoid of animal foods.

Proof that animals go to Heaven:
1. Animals clearly understand Love, therefore by definition they know God. Any creature who knows God must have a Soul and so must go to Heaven
2. It always surprises me how often people forget the most fundamental attribute of God; nothing is impossible with God.
If animals do not already go to Heaven, all we have to do is ask. And God will say "Certainly. Why didn't you ask me before? (click) It's done."

When my Benny crossed the Rainbow Bridge (I always say, he was "alived"), I thought I'd turn inside out I was crying so hard.
I was 57 and I thought I'd die of a broken heart. My husband was also heartbroken. We would collapse on each others shoulder sobbing.
Once that initial shock eased up, I began to realize some things.
Actually, I think it was the first day, I felt this strong earth-to-heaven connection. I realized it was the love we shared between us. It was like a beam of light from my heart to his and back again. Almost tangible.
That bond of love doesn't break when you're angel goes to the Other Side. You're forever connected.
You can believe this or not, but when Benny's body was lying there on the vet's table (we'd rushed there at midnight), suddenly I heard what sounded like a toddler laughing.
I might have thought it was just my imagination, but it was as if that laugh was flying around the room and around me in a wide circle, like speakers surrounding me. Instantly, I knew it was Benny because when he was young and his heart was strong, he loved running in a circle. He would go around and around with this huge smile on his little Chihuahua face.
So it was understandable to me that, once he was out of that sick body (cacoon), he was as free as a puppy again and running like mad!
Then I remembered my husband had a dream just a couple of months before Benny was alived. He dreamed that he was in a room and suddenly he sees Benny waddling by.
He said he looked and said, "Is that Benny?" and he said Benny looked at him and said in a toddler's voice (the same one I heard), "Yes, it's Benny." Then he woke up.
Months went by and I was still grieving, but we had several supernatural, but softly so, experiences with Benny. One after the other.
I remember walking outside, and feeling like what I can only describe as little “butterflies” of happiness fluttering in my heart. Very unusual and something I've never experienced before or since.
When I wondered what was happening, it was like a voice saying, Benny is happy and he's projecting it to you.
Then I realized it was because I was about to meet my husband, and Benny loved it when all 3 of us were together. His little pack was complete.
I promise you, you're little angel is okay and most likely flying around you as close as possible.
I know this is long, but I appreciated reading anything that would help me. So here are some other things that comforted me when I could no longer cuddle my "little love" as I called him.
God got me through it. He helped me learn how to navigate through it. First, I cried my eyes out. Sobbed so much that our big dog, Max, came over and was licking my face to comfort me. I was lying on the floor, flat on my back. It helped tremendously to just let the tears flow and release the pressure. Not to "try to be brave".
But I talked to God about it and he showed me clearly to stop reviewing the images of Benny's passing. As though it was taking place over and over and over. It was on a loop, but I decided firmly to get off the loop and then I had the thought,
“Don't think about his death, think about his life.”
It took me a couple of days to get that under control. It was a tight-rope walk at first. But I got my balance via faith.
Then this sweet thought popped up,
"He's not in your past, he's in your future."
That thought helped me so much to not feel this sorrow about past joys being lost. Future joys are coming!
After having had an NDE in 1969, I believe in heaven because I've seen it. I saw Jesus and I know our pets go there. The real world is coming and there will be “no more tears.” (Revelation 21:4)
Ignore people who say things that make you feel worse. “It's just a dog.” is a common term. No. Not “just” a dog, but a cherished family member.
Don't hold it against them. They want to help, but they can't. Just grieve your own way.
Another thought came to me that the grief goes as deep as the love. But having said that, another point that helped, was realizing that I won't be betraying or breaking my love for my angel, by taking a deep breath and getting a bit above the pain. If you have faith, it helps, but it's still tough. I cried off and on for a year.
But you'll know when you're overdoing it because you'll feel it's too much. I would take a break by watching a funny movie, for example. It's not betrayal, or showing that you're “getting over it”. I know these weird thoughts his when you're grieving.
There's a balance to everything. You'll know when you need to get a grip. Watch a funny video. Never a sad one.
In the 90s, I was going through a really hard time in my life and I was extremely lonely. But my Chihuahua, Honey, pulled me up out of it early one morning by licking violently inside my ear like she always did when she wanted me to get up.
I did wake up and looked around for her, then I remembered I didn't have a dog. Honey, had crossed the Rainbow Bridge 30 years before, but she was allowed to come back and comfort me.
I just wanted to add that because it really really helps to know you'll see your earth angel again some day.
Keep in mind (despite the guilt that always hits us) that no one could have loved your angel like you did. No one. No one could have been a better pet parent than you were and you'll see your angel again.
Remembering these thoughts will help you limp through till you start seeing it all from an eternal perspective. You'll realize that this separation is only for a short while.
I will pray for you also that God will let your angel get some messages through to you.

How can pets not go to heaven? In my opinion, they do have a soul. They are able to express emotions (happiness, sadness, anger., etc.) and know if they’ve done something wrong. They are conscious of what is going on and their surroundings.

Animals are referenced so many times in the Bible. This leads me to believe that God truly loves them. Animals were present when Jesus was born, his death. They were a large part of the narrative. They were the former means of salvation before the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Heaven wont be the heaven I expect without my pets. ALL blood n life goes back to God. He knows our hearts n how much our pets mean to us n how much we mean to them. My 15 yr old cat is my best buddy. I cant imagine eternity without him.

Judgement is not redemption. Animals die, but that doesn't bring salvation to them: Heb 10:4 "For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." If they will be in the new heaven, which will be on the new earth (Rev 21:1-5) it is because God creates them afresh. It won't be animals raised from the dead like redeemed humans.
Dan Ball You make eisegesis. The verse you took from Hebrew applies to our Lord, Priest and King Jesus and his eternal atonement. If God doesn't provide resurrection to the animals, why would he resurrect the humans. He could simply make a better humanity. Your theory fails the entire redemption plan.

Last night I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog. I believe she is there now, in Heaven. She has been a blessing and will greatly be missed in my family. She had such a character. @@Marcelino1098 P. S. I recommend reading the Ecclesiastes verse again, Marcelino. Note that is says "everything is meaningless." As you can see, that means neither man nor beast goes to heaven when they die, otherwise the word "meaningless," itself, would be meaningless in this context.
@@sir-adric-the-brave so you are no Christian then because we clearly do go to Heaven if we believe in Jesus Christ. That is His promise if you believe. He cleanses us from our sins once we put our belief and trust into Him. Everything is meaningless if we do not believe, because you won't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember the words Jesus said to the thief next to Him on the cross. Today you shall be with me in My Kingdom.
Recently my pet chihuahua died :( I'm crying so much she was a delicate little dog she wasn't as wild nor lazy she was gentle she loved kids and protected them she died from birth she had here first puppy but she left it so I knew something was wrong I took her to the vet and they said there's nothing they can do i didn't want her to be put down so I left her to give birth this is the real sad part before she died she waited for me she cried one last time and she past away I cried so much that I miss her it was to late the pups died along with her so I made her a nice grave made of stone and pearl the poor thing it gave me look like she was saying help me then she.... died I was heartbroken but I want to see her once more I will never get a dog like her R.I.P My sandy we will miss you no dog will ever be like you I must of been cursed because she was healthy fine dog I can't wait until I surcome to death i want to see her once again she'll have new friends in heaven now:( 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It wouldn’t make sense to me, to acknowledge animals that have no relationship to humans such as those described in Isaiah, serpents, cows, lions, lambs, wolfs, etc WOULD be in heaven, but beloved pets whom we have a relationship with WOULD NOT be in heaven. That doesn’t really make sense. I know the Bible is not specific on pets, however what reason would God refuse a dog or cat entrance, but allow a cow? Just doesn’t seem plausible.
We know in 2 Samuel that the man had a small ewe that was like a daughter. That seems a pretty personal relationship. And one God acknowledges. So we know He cares for the animals in which we love and develop a bond. To say they cease to exist is pretty ridiculous.
What about: "Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the earth?" (Ecclesiastes 3:21). Pets will be there.

His rhetorical question as to whether the spirit of an animal goes upwards and downwards, means that no one can really say. The Bible is largely silent on the subject of animals going to Heaven, because it’s central theme is on the salvation of the souls of humans, who need a Saviour, Jesus Christ. There are many scriptures which allude to animals, (which would include pets) being in Heaven, eg, Psalm 36:6, Genesis 9: 8-17 and Numbers 27:16. Psalm 150:6 says ‘Let every creature that has breath, praise the Lord’. This implies that animals know who their Creator is and worship Him.

Not only would I love to have my pets in heaven, lions, tigers, bears would be awesome. Like the lion lay with the lamb to show peace on earth. Also, the seven horned and seven eyed lamb in heaven.
Although the bible is completely silent as to whether our beloved pets will be in heaven, it is not beyond God's ability or abundant goodness to make room for them to be there. Our focus should be to desire to see our savior above all things
there are a few near death experience that their pets met them too. I believe that you will see your deceased pets. and the Bible didn't say everything was for food. remember it says do not touch the cloven hoof. animal. and it says the wolf shall lay down with the lamb. it was the lion shall lay down with the lamb. true Christians know the changing of scripture. and Jesus was born into the world surrounded by what? animals. in their manager.

It would not be heaven without them. Dogs are so very special and they show so much love and affection to us. The only way it would be possible to not have our beloved pet there would be for God to wipe away our tears and let us remember them briefly, then erase them from our minds forever as I believe will be done for our loved ones who don't make it.

Adriana Gumienny, Hell was created for Satan, fallen angels and people that reject Jesus Christ and His salvation through the finished work of the Cross. Animals do not need salvation because they are innocent; they kill out of instinct.
Not that I’m comparing animals to humans. The fact is or many people they have as much love for their pets as they do for humans because they just see the innocence in these creatures and the loyalty and relationship one develops with their pet is so strong. I agree our love for God and relationship with the Father should be far ahead of that with out pets. I still do see Gods glory being shown through our relationships with all creatures. This doesn’t help us determine whether our pets will be in heaven though but I do agree that complete confidence in believing that heaven will be the most glorious expression of Gods love for his creation is vital
Saddens me to see this. I'm a Christian and won't put my pets above God in my heart. We're having to think about one of our precious dogs. We got a grim diagnosis today. We're dealing with it petty hard and we'll really miss her. I do hope that one day we'll see her again
The Bible talks about animals being in Heaven in a couple verses . When I was a kid I was told they didn’t have souls so they don’t go to Heaven . I most definitely think I’ll see my pets again

Just because it's not created "in the image of God" doesn't mean it doesn't have a spirit/soul. God breathed the breath of life into all of them, not just man. Let me quote Scripture: "Even the dogs (and not to add to Scripture, but also cats) get the crumbs that fall from their master's table." I shared my meals with the cat.

The spirit is immortal, the body mortal. God cannot even destroy the soul once it's created.

For animals are innocent & not fallen like man.
So through the fall of Adam & Eve, animals who were under our dominion had the tragic consequences of our fall.
But through the full redemption of Jesus Christ animals are now fully saved by Him.
They are not deliberate sinners as humans, they all want to be with Him in Heaven.
Make no mistake, humanity is made in the image of God, but that does not mean that God does not love His animals
that He has made, each with their own individually unique nose print & paw print.
Also Genesis 1 describes nephesh animals. Nephesh means soulish animals. They have mind, emotions and will. But man does not only have a soul, he has a spirit. Animals can form relationships with people, but people can form a relationship with God because we are body soul and spirit.

I’m going to believe that my beloved pets are going to be with me in heaven, until I find out differently. The unconditional love of a devoted dog is second only to God.
