    What's the 44 Club you may ask? Well it all started in the outro of this video • HOW TO BOTTLE FLIP (ON... where we wondered if anyone was still watching the video at that point, and to comment 44 (Scott's fave number) if they were. Brett then said 44 Club get on board and the rest is history. The 44Club is the official How Ridiculous fan club made up of people who love our videos and watch them right to the very end. We've even got 44 Club merch now! So yeh, that's the story. Pretty random but good fun at the same time.
    We are passionate about seeing children released from poverty and we would love you to consider sponsoring a child with Compassion. @@furyformer sort of. There are three types of UV light that the sun produces. UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA isn't all that dangerous because the radiation is benign. UVB is a bit more dangerous and the cause of you getting a sunburn or even cancer. UVC is extremely dangerous. All UVC is absorbed by gases like ozone and carbon dioxide. Most of UVB is absorbed, but not all. Black lights creat UVA light which is what was used in the video and sometimes gets called a UV light. Which isn't technically wrong since it creates UV light, but a true UV light that is used to kill mold and for a few other reasons creates UVC light. I don't recommend you try to find stains with it.

    • @cbracing808
      @cbracing808 4 роки тому +30

      Its matter of gravity, which is always the same on earth, and height to determine theoretical speed. Then you look at weight vs drag (aerodynamics) and decide how much speed should be taken off the theoretical speed. In this case theoretical speed was something like 67 or 68mph for ANYTHING dropped from that height. The Thor hammer is very heavy with relatively low air resistance so my guess was about 66mph. A large cardboard box would be much slower and a lead javelin would be pretty damn near the theoretical speed.

    Diamonds are relatively brittle, they're quite easy to break with just an ordinary hammer, however they are Very scratch resistant.

      @dtiydr 10 місяців тому

      Well they are the least brittle or pretty much all material, but yes they are not indestructible. But a much bigger diamond or a flat one would not have been destroyed, but also a cost they most likely would not be happy to pay.

    It's amusing to me that they didn't do the absolutely OBVIOUS thing and, instead of dropping the hammer onto this tiny target, they could have GLUED, and then taped, the diamond to the bottom of the hammer (point facing away from the hammer). That way, as long as the hammer lands flat, the diamond gets its full impact. And even if the hammer lands at a slight bias, the diamond would get a partial impact. And in both cases...the glue (I'd use hot glue) and tape (as a backup measure) would confine either the diamond or its shattered fragments to the bottom of the hammer post-drop. And as a second backup measure, I'd have taped a transparent plastic bag around the bottom of the hammer (with the tape on its sides), making sure that the bag catches anything that is still able to be dislodged. I'd prefer to use a cloth bag, but there's two reasons not to...firstly, the cloth might cushion the impact slightly (unlikely but possible), and secondly, it would effectively block the view. So plastic would have to do.
