What's the 44 Club you may ask? Well it all started in the outro of this video • HOW TO BOTTLE FLIP (ON... where we wondered if anyone was still watching the video at that point, and to comment 44 (Scott's fave number) if they were. Brett then said 44 Club get on board and the rest is history. The 44Club is the official How Ridiculous fan club made up of people who love our videos and watch them right to the very end. We've even got 44 Club merch now! So yeh, that's the story. Pretty random but good fun at the same time.

@@digitalhackers7039 I love when stupid people tell others they're stupid watch the video and STFU.
@@digitalhackers7039 Black light is a UV light though :D
@@furyformer sort of. There are three types of UV light that the sun produces. UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA isn't all that dangerous because the radiation is benign. UVB is a bit more dangerous and the cause of you getting a sunburn or even cancer. UVC is extremely dangerous. All UVC is absorbed by gases like ozone and carbon dioxide. Most of UVB is absorbed, but not all. Black lights creat UVA light which is what was used in the video and sometimes gets called a UV light. Which isn't technically wrong since it creates UV light, but a true UV light that is used to kill mold and for a few other reasons creates UVC light. I don't recommend you try to find stains with it.
Dillon Vance smart person 😁
Just an idea.. maybe get a speed gun to determine how fast the objects are going before impact? That would be interesting.
66 mph +/- 1 mph
Its matter of gravity, which is always the same on earth, and height to determine theoretical speed. Then you look at weight vs drag (aerodynamics) and decide how much speed should be taken off the theoretical speed. In this case theoretical speed was something like 67 or 68mph for ANYTHING dropped from that height. The Thor hammer is very heavy with relatively low air resistance so my guess was about 66mph. A large cardboard box would be much slower and a lead javelin would be pretty damn near the theoretical speed.
@literally not z They would in a vacuum, but not here on Earth where we have air resistance

You could take the plate to a jeweler and they could tell you if it's diamond dust! 💎✨
Jentue what?
They had a light that made diamond glow. That should tell them if it's diamond dust.
S jewellers test do certain tests to determine what kind of mineral is on something they do acid tests to determine if gold is real gold or not but they can analyse whatever it is on the plate and determine whether or not there is little bits of diamonds on the plate
Like your going to find it
It might not even cost anything to find out. I imagine a good jeweler could even be able to determine whether or not it's broken diamond bits just by looking at it under magnification. That's usually how they tell the difference between real stones and costume jewelry, I hear.
Shine the black light on the suspected diamond dust. If it's diamond dust, it should glow like the whole diamond did.

it 100% crushed, fun fact: Diamond isn't the strongest material- There's a difference between Toughness and Hardness. Hardness is a material's ability to withstand friction, essentially abrasion resistance. BUT, toughness is how well the material can resist fracturing when force is applied. Diamonds have the best HARDNESS, but very weak TOUGHNESS.

But that thing never drops flat on its top surface.
CAFFEINE DRIVEN how about if they tape it to the side it favours ? Surely it’s due to the way the inside has set so they will know which one it is every time ?
I hate it when people think that diamonds are invincible. I mean... they are very hard, but that just makes them very fragile.
This needs to be done again now under the new big hammer, it would be perfect control for a flat hit.
Try the UV light on the plate, you will know if it's diamond dust for sure! How good.

at 14:00, slow down the video to 25% speed. Just below the hammer there are at least two brights specs; moving directly towards the non-slow-mo camera. These Diamond flecs are located towards the top-right of the screen and they do not seem to change brightness.
Diamond Dust.
There are also red specs closer to the camera which I believe came from the bottom plate breaking and superheating them.
Use the UV light on the plate. If its diamond dust it should glow blue right?
One would think
xhadesx3714 I was thinking the same
Diamond forever. I think you should wait until night and look with the special tool.
Plz like
Nah, diamand's can be easily broken, especially after being polished. Pretty much as easily as glass. It's far gone, honestly surprised it didn't break from test 1 or 2. Sure a diamond is hard, but also very brittle. That's why they chip easily.
I think you will find some shiny fairy dust :D
@@samir298 Isn't there a relationship between relative hardness and how brittle a substance is? As in, the more prone to shattering when higher on Mohs Scale?
@@samir298 isn't that gold?
Diamonds are relatively brittle, they're quite easy to break with just an ordinary hammer, however they are Very scratch resistant.
Well they are the least brittle or pretty much all material, but yes they are not indestructible. But a much bigger diamond or a flat one would not have been destroyed, but also a cost they most likely would not be happy to pay.
You need to use a taunt guide cable with eyelets around the cable bolted to items.
Each drop is guaranteed to hit the target every time. Love the vids ....John in Oregon
Could you confirm diamond residue with UV light?
My thoughts
Nice profile pic
Yeah fake
They didn't because they want kids to think diamonds are smashable
Exact same thought
You should check the suspected "fairy dust" with a UV light to see if it is indeed diamond powder. You could also look at it under a microscope.
Right? That's a damn good way to figure it out.
Everyone is saying that and I think its obvious.
If you watch the slowie at speed 0.25 you can clearly see very shiny pieces flying, and it has to be diamond dust because nothing can reflect so much light there except bits of diamond
Diamond forever. You lost a diamond but not in the way you think.
Smash one diamond and all of a sudden we no longer have to get the bell on... Geeze.
Right? What is life even?
Get the flippin' bell on!
Try adding some fletching to the handle of the hammer to keep it from rotating in the air. Love your vids!
The handle is still a bit crooked too. That also throws up to weight distribution.
It's amusing to me that they didn't do the absolutely OBVIOUS thing and, instead of dropping the hammer onto this tiny target, they could have GLUED, and then taped, the diamond to the bottom of the hammer (point facing away from the hammer). That way, as long as the hammer lands flat, the diamond gets its full impact. And even if the hammer lands at a slight bias, the diamond would get a partial impact. And in both cases...the glue (I'd use hot glue) and tape (as a backup measure) would confine either the diamond or its shattered fragments to the bottom of the hammer post-drop. And as a second backup measure, I'd have taped a transparent plastic bag around the bottom of the hammer (with the tape on its sides), making sure that the bag catches anything that is still able to be dislodged. I'd prefer to use a cloth bag, but there's two reasons not to...firstly, the cloth might cushion the impact slightly (unlikely but possible), and secondly, it would effectively block the view. So plastic would have to do.
It turned in fairy dust 100%. You can literally see shiny beads flying off in the slow motion footage
