I think you should have taken mid surface of the stairs and should have defined thickness to it. What do you think?
If we consider surface body thickness is more than 1 or consider 3d element actual body thickness , then the stress and deformation value will be change or not ?

I think you can perform this analysis by static structural itself. Why did you choose transient? Can you explain it?
