This dress turned out adorable, love the piping and side buttons. Also I’m obsessed with your introduction blouse with the heart yoke plus bow low tie super cool!😻😻😻
Spooky is so cute!!! She was trying to speak to your soul!! I bet she was just saying "chill mom". This dress is adorable. I like the button detail. The blue goes really well with your hair 🩵💜
It turned out lovely. The dress your wearing at the end is very pretty. ps love that you don't care about the hoover in shot as you cut out on floor😂. This is real!!
Your sewing is beautiful and I am so glad to have found you again. My sons put me on premium you tube and it wiped out my subscriptions and I've had to start over. Hope all is well with you.
I always love the designs of the patterns you find to use! I’m so sorry to hear that the side closures cause you legitimate physical pain to use 😬 maybe try modifying this pattern in the future somehow so you wouldn’t have to deal with it. Maybe make the button panel a faux button panel and add a panel of ruching or elastic shirred fabric so you can just slip it on. I know that would take away from the “authenticity” of the original pattern, but as a dressmaker you should always consider who the dress is being made for. I only started sewing a couple of years ago, but I grew up watching my grandma sew, and she would make changes to patterns if she was making something for a friend with mobility issues. Just something to consider. Anyways, I love your channel! You have great taste in fabric and pattern choices, and sewing with a cat is very relatable!
Yeah I usually am really good about modifying things that I know can trigger pain or sensory issues I just think I was so excited about the side button closures I didn't think about it.
Another absolute gorgeous piece! You look so happy in it :) Spooky in your arms while hand stitching was so precious and gave me the smile that I needed today. Also, love the darker dress you had on today, it's so pretty on you!
This is so cute!! I love the dog fabric and the pattern. I love buttons down the side. I know it's frustrating to redo things, I've been making mistakes lately too, but the end result is beautiful 🩵
Thank you for this video. I really like the dress, even if my age precludes me from wearing it. I really like 50’s and 60’s dress fashion and your fabric was spot on! You got your Liberty for a steal! By the way, a piping foot is a reasonable price and makes placement a snap!
Love your hair in the end wrap up, it looks great up!!! Let’s be real, your hair always looks amazing but I’m loving how you’ve been wearing it up more in recent videos. Would love a hair tutorial for how you wear it up. Such a fun fabric, dress and piping look great
Thanks for the great tips at the end of the video and during production of your dress about taking breaks during projects! What a fabulous price for the Liberty fabric- cost in Vancouver B.C. Canada was $50.00 (Cda) per meter when I last looked. Spooky was absolutely adorable in this video (as always!). Great colour pick for springtime and super amazing piping.
I was going to say the same on the price of the fabric. Liberty of London where I live is at least $30 a yard in the US. I expected the cost breakdown to be a lot more.
10:01 omg! Everything you and Spunks! Everything! The dress is darling on you, so pretty! Your hair and necklace tops all beautifully! Thanks for inspiration!!
I love your dress. It looks marvelous on you as well. I looked for that pattern, I need it 40 bust but boohoo can't find it in my size. Love your videos!!
Hi Haley Marie. I love the print of the dress more than the dress it's self due to the side buttons if it wasn't for then I would say I would like to make it myself but do you trick and put a zip in the back of it.
Do you find that having a sewing machine that does not drop in, flush with your table is no problem? I'm always paranoid that I won't notice the slight pull of gravity, and I'll end up with wonky stitches, but I'm still a VERY new sewist, so I'm paranoid about everything. :p Also, I love this fabric! And your fuzzy assistant is just as helpful as my cinderblock of a cat.
When I sew on my moms machine it is a drop in and I actually prefer a non-drop in. Because I make garments I often need to be able to maneuver things under the sleeve arm, I feel like drop ins are more important for quilting?
Lovely, feminine dress. I so admire your skills and perseverance. I cannot read sewing patterns or maps, & have no sense of direction without landmarks. Somehow, these all seem related in my brain. I’m good at reading and writing, so we all have our talents.
So glad the younger generation is sewing. I don't do vintage patterns, too intimidated. You go girl!!
They really aren't too bad thank you!
“Why are you wet!?” 🤣 Spooky’s cat shenanigans are an absolute delight in this video and this comment cracked me up!
A cute little dress and the piping is the perfect addition to make it something special.
Thank you!
This dress turned out adorable, love the piping and side buttons. Also I’m obsessed with your introduction blouse with the heart yoke plus bow low tie super cool!😻😻😻
Thank you!
I’m really loving hand sewing lately, I finished some hems by hand and the virtually invisible finish sold me!
Yes it is such a great finish for that!
Spooky is so cute!!! She was trying to speak to your soul!! I bet she was just saying "chill mom". This dress is adorable. I like the button detail. The blue goes really well with your hair 🩵💜
She also is a snuggle monster in general hahaha
I love watching Spooky! Maybe she needs her own channel 😂. The dress is beautiful and I love the fabric. That was a great price for Liberty.
She does need her own channel lol and thank you!
Spooky is so precious in this video. One of my cats loves to sit on my shoulders while I'm doing my hand sewing ❤
I don't know if she's actually the costar as much as the star.
😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Spooky is definitely the star!
Wow you look amazing this dress is so beautiful also the dress you wear at the end 😍😍
Thank you!

I've had to start over. Hope all is well with you.
Thank you! I am so glad you found me again!
I had completely forgotten about that fabric you picked up while I was out there. And now of course I wish I would’ve bought some. 😂😂😂
Lol you were the one who talked me into it
This dress turned out so pretty! If it were me I would make the side buttons decorative and add a back zip because I also don't like a side zip
That is what I should have done lol

Spooky is the best, she loves snuggles at all times. And thank you!
You are most welcome @@HaleyMarieVintage
Cute dress - love the piping detail. Spooky was EXTRA cute in this video! How DOES she do it?!
I don't understand how she can be so cute.
Love the dress. Very cute. Piping looks great
Thanks!
This is so cute!! I love the dog fabric and the pattern. I love buttons down the side. I know it's frustrating to redo things, I've been making mistakes lately too, but the end result is beautiful 🩵
Thanks! And yeah sometimes I'm very mistake prone but I've learned to take the time to undo them instead of rolling with it

The dress looks beautiful and of course I love the doggy print! You and Spooky are a great team! 💗🐾
Thank you!
Super cute! I could see this as a great day dress pattern.
Thanks!

Yes I have been trying to only put it in curlers once a week so I have been trying putting it up so thatnk you for noticing haha.

Yes! I actually got this at a discount warehouse place

Sponkers is the cutest for sure, thank you!

9:30 to 10:16 Precious Spooky time🐈at her cuddliest😊.13:52 to 16:15 Spooky being cute cuddly with some upsie time. The light blue dress 👗 was cute😊.
Spooky is truly the cuddliest star of the show.
I love your dress. It looks marvelous on you as well. I looked for that pattern, I need it 40 bust but boohoo can't find it in my size. Love your videos!!
Thank you!
Omgosh Spooky is so dang cute!!!
She is ridiculously cute lol
There’s a flat seam ripper that’s good for buttonholes for me. That and a hook Damascus steel one I have.
Oh Spooky. That wet comment cracked me up!
What a good cat.
She is the best!
Kitty snoopervisor!
Oh my gosh that is so cute!
Thanks!
So cute!!
Another cute dress. I was wondering if you had to resize the bodice pieces.?
I just added a little bit to the sides

Yeah I think I should have put in a back sip and just wasn't thinking
Nice🎉

Anything large enough to pull can usually sit over your shoulder so the weight is being fed down. Thats how I handle these situations. Lol

total 187.09! (on screen). You said it right. total = 436.06 (117.55 + 318.51) did you subtract or something?
Something didn't math here, I think I never said the total of fabric with the outer fabric and lining fabric so that is why some number is off
still pretty! 😁

Thank you! And yes everyone has their skillsets, I am very bad at all things musical.
Aren’t the other views back zip?
Yup but I only really like the side button view, I have other patterns that are similar to the other 2 views
🌅👗👸💐
Oh yeah. I’ve been sewing fifty years and still make mistakes. I find it best to walk away and read and come back.
