Thanks for comparing. The Kilo clearly had more depth in the sound per the tests posted. Strange they are so similar, but makes sense to go the Kilo route in my opinion.
UPDATE: $44.99 now at Costco til 12/25/24! I see Costco is selling a Kilo 2-Pack w/Case bundle for $59.99 right now. I’m hoping these are much better than my Altec Lansing Hydra Mini (very weak, barely louder than my iPhone lol)
the kilo is a bit more defined and has more space in the sound and you get better battery life, i dont think the 10 dollar delta is that big of a price difference to get a ok speaker like this the ounce i feel could be dropped to 15 on sale and fly out the door tho so its a tossup
the kilo sounds tuned worse though, when i listened to the clips he played in the video the kilo had inferior clarity and sounds super V shaped(meaning the highs are crushed and mids(like vocals) are more recessed)
I just picked one of these up as a shower speaker, mainly listening to news and podcasts. So far I'm quite happy with it in this use case - it goes louder than my previous INSMY C12, and has much better battery life. As an aside, I also purchased a "Barrel" earlier this summer for use as a backyard/pool speaker - it's big and heavy, but puts out a nice full sound.
i use mine as desktop speakers. i mostly use headphones for gaming so its nice to just tuck the speakers away in a drawer, no cables etc when I'm not using them. they auto pair to the PC in stereo too so its handy. its not really an issue for me since i don't use them typically for long enough for it to bother me but i did notice that sometimes the true wireless goes out of phase. i chose them over the ounce mostly because of the batter life
I have both the KILO & the OUNCE and I love them. I think they both sound great especially for the price. Thanks for posting this excellent comparison.
Excellent review as always. I have both of these speakers and I agree with you 100% they both sound alike. I would say that for people on a tight budget just go with the ounce.
I have the kilo. For spoken word (podcasts/news radio) it is far bettre than my Bose Soundlink 2, JBL Charge 5, Flip 6, Clip 4, Go 3 & Sony SRS XB-100. Very nice for voice. It's ok for music too but as you say, nothing too complex. Thanks for the vid. Regards from Australia.
Mixing it up. I like it. Not a fan of my JBL Splash go 3. I barely use it and the battery don't last enough for me. Kinda off topic. Do you think the PS5 is worth it? I never upgrade from my last generation.
Please check out the terrain xl if you can I’d love your opinion on that specific model cuz for the price it seems impressive but idk about the sound quality
@@OfficialGamesky it's a deal breaker for me. My gf literally flung it across the room after it woke her up for the third night in a row. 😁😅🤣😂 Do you have any suggestions for a small Bluetooth speaker with over 8 hours battery life and no loud start up tone. Have you tried the clip 4?
So anyone else have issues with the kilo? Bought mine about a month ago and normally when plugging it in the battery LED indicator lights would come on. Today i went to plug it in and no lights came on. Tried the charger on my vape and it charged that just fine, so its not the charger. Upon further examination, when the kilo is plugged in it makes a quiet static noise but when i unplug it its gone. When i try to reset it or anything no change.

Mine from costco have a usbc and the other end is something ive never seen .do you need some special charge block?
@ Just looks different, but works just the same on any charging block

Just bought the Kilo bundle from Costco. Enjoying them already! Sound great for the size and love the stereo mode!
Kilo for the win, to be honest. There's some definite bass to it. 😂

Those look pretty cool. I would rather have the 24 hour battery than the other one but being waterproof that is too cool. 😎
Gamesky! Thank you for posting.

The #KIlo actually hits harder!!
Just purchased one
Why is the sound test shot on a photo frame??🤔
I have a JBL clip 4 and I actually like my skull candy ounce more its more punchy and has much more bass
Well in my area they are not avaliable but I would go for kilo one
Huh? Since when did Skull Candy dip into the speaker market? 💀
I see what u did there lol

It's a great system but I don't feel there's enough exclusive titles to warrant everyone to upgrade
which ones do you recommend between jbl clip 5 and skullcandy kilo? I am trying to purchase one but can't make a decision!
Can you pair 2 of there to make stereo sound?
@@espadasmoran Sure can! Sound great together!
I have the blue kilo and I love it

I will have to check it out
Tha ks for the video. I still have my skullcandy landmine that i use weekly.
I’d love to see these compared to the small Bose.
Thanks for sharing this comparison. Blessings on your day.
for a real portable BT speaker I got the Willen, but these 2 sound good, and cheaper, but yea my Marshall still sounds better still.
Is there any way to bypass the startup and shutdown sound?
I didn't find a way. It is pretty annoying

Have you tried the clip 4?
I suspect that the only difference in sound comes from speaker grills.
Nice comparison 😊
I picked up the kilo at Ross for $25. It’s decent.
Love my kilo xt

Is the Ounce waterproof?? I have it but am afraid to take it in the shower with me.
Yes it's waterproof too
Yes it's waterproof as well
