As much as I'd love it- These shorts take close to a year of production on their own. I doubt Blizzard will dump the resources and time into doing something like a movie.
you are asking a studio to mow down an Everest.... nobody is going to put a lot of time and money to bring that kind of quality for complete 90 mins or 120 min movie.
They need to make a movie and time it to fit in after the final patch of one expansion, and right before the next expansion, and tie it all together, not make it about another time decades back that nobody cares about.
She has an extra cinematic for the loyalists. Sylvanas said she needed dead people and she thought enough were dead now after her machinations. She also said that she worked with Azshara for her own goals and that in the end even N'zoth will serve her master... Death. So she doesn't work for N'zoth nor is she possessed by him. At least that's how it seems right now.
I agree with what you said but i dont think death is her master. In the three sisters comic she says talking about her two sisters that in the end, they will serve death. "They will serve... me." I think Sylvanas is attempting to harness the power of death itself rather than serving a "master" which would be so unlike her!
void magic you mean no?^^ but it can possible to be shadow magic too. For the cinematic it's not the final of bfa but the final for the war campaign, we will have a 8.3 ending patch with the old god n'zoth.
She is not possessed , she is either an ally to whoever is the big evil or she knows what is coming and just wanted to get ahead of it and have the means to survive the coming evil .
The significance of anduin giving saurfang shalamayne can not be over stated. The sword can only be wielded by someone with great honor not to mention it will not separate if the wielder is not worthy of the blade.so the fact that saurfang was not only able to wield it but it separated for him it speaks volumes about him.
SO many subtle things i think go overlooked by some people !.Thrall says "these warriors have sworn to fight for you"he's not just referring to the horde alliance as well.2,Anduin giving him shalamayne is HUGE!3.the fact that shalamayne separated in combat that doesn't happen for just anyone Shalamayne will only separate when used by someone of honor.4.Varoks last words were "for Azeroth"5.Anduin knew that rezzing Varok would dishonor Varok and his sacrifice.6.Anduin was allowed to assist in taking Varok home and speak at his memorial/funeral.
Sylvanas brings the whole aspect of Death in play which is something the void , which N'Zoth and the other old gods are part of, fears. Next expansion? rumor say...Shadowlands.
Saurfang wielded Horde weapon in the left-hand and an Alliance Weapon in the Right, Charlemagne The King’s Sword no less. Very symbolic. Saurfang representing All of Azeroth.❤❤❤ Iliad vibes too. Achilles versus Hector.
I don't think they will have Sylvanas' actions played out as a possession. More likely to be played out as her understanding something that no one else does, and trying to prevent it through these actions.
Alberto Hernandez i think she’s trying to prevent the old gods (or void lords)from destroying the azeroth & also trying to find an escape from death since she’s now running out of valkyres.
ive been getting the feeling that this is either the last expansion or setting up for the next exp that will be the last. . they've really thrown everything at this expansion in a way they never have before. . this is the best story telling theyve ever done and the game is just off the charts great right now. . just feels like a ton of extra going on for this to just be another step along the way
What server are you guys on? I had stopped playing 7 years ago but came back for Classic and retail sucked me in and I am loving it. It would be so damn fun to do some runs with ya guys!
Sylvanas cant be possessed by the old gods, since undeads are immuned to those things. In comics, where Windrunner sisters meet, Allerias void whispers wanted to kill Sylvanas very strongly. So I guess void is against Sylvanas, since they cant control her.
What ???? They never EVER told they were immune to old gods. Just... stop saying bullshit without any proof. There's even some proof that they can be corrupted.
Amen sister :) so do i 5:36 I like this part when she walks all alone against the Alliance army and The Horde traitors....so powerful All hail the Banshee Queen, till the end !!!
It’s not the end of the expansion (8.3 has been announced, this is 8.2.5), but it is the finale of the war campaign that has taken a big place in the game play - especially for Horde. Also,
"I'm glad that the Horde isn't the bad guys of the expansion" The innocent civilians of Teldrassil would disagree. #rememberTeldrassil. Also Sylvanas was a bad guy since Frozen Throne. Kills Alliance commander that helped her take Lordaeron and then is surprised that Alliance sees her and Forsaken as monsters...
I am happy Varok got his warrior's death, but I'm also upset it happened this way, at the hands of Sylvanas, cheating in Mak'gora no less. But alas, she hasn't been honourable for the longest time, we knew she wouldn't uphold the rules of a Mak'gora. It was hard to watch this in game, in all honesty. It's been a long time coming and I've been ready for it but I still don't want to accept Saurfang is gone. The callbacks to other cinematics, Varok saying ''Let it be finished'' just as his son did at the Wrathgate, it really was great to hear. But I love that Varok knew he didn't have to defeat Sylvanas in order to win, he simply needed to push her buttons because he knew she would undo herself, in front of her Horde, her Forsaken, everyone. You can even see her personal guard sneer at her as she says the Horde is nothing, in a sense of disbelief. Really well done cinematic, albeit extremely tragic. Side note: Shalamayne sure is tiny in the hands of an orc lol.
Sylvanas has never been very honorable, but she respected the rules of the Mak'Gora. She fought alone, and until death. She never cheated, that's why nobody complain, that's why thrall warns Varok he stands no chances against a banshee. Magic is totally allowed in mak'gora, as everything else by default. If they has agreed before the fight that the uses of magic wasn"'t allowed, then it would have been cheating, but they don't. That's also why Sylvanas plays with him instead of simply killing him at first, she knows varok is not a treat for her.
@@karlstrud8351 Magic is always forbidden in a mak'gora, always was, but the "she cheated" argument still is stupid, because she already dominated him before she used magic, even parrying Saurfangs strikes with one hand, she just went out of shits to give at that point, i really dont get why people honestly think that if she continued with her daggers, she somehow wouldve lost, all what wouldve happened is that Saurfang wouldve suffered a slow death, instead of being dead before his body hits the ground.
@@nirodi3012 Actually it turns out that magic can be allowed in a Mak'gora, there have been a few where they were throwing spells around. Often the rules are agreed on before hand (like Cairne and Garrosh, weapons only, no armor, for example), but there were no real rules here. But yeah, it didn't really matter either way once Saurfang got Sylvanas to show her true intentions. Saurfang "won" that duel. I thought magic was forbidden as well, but I read up on them on one of the Warcraft wikis and apparently I was wrong, lol. Thrall's use of magic in his Mak'gora with Garrosh wasn't the reason Thrall lost the ability to commune with the elementals in Legion, it was due to "immense guilt and self-doubt" afterwards.
@@karlstrud8351 Dude, don't bother, been saying that using magic in mak'gora is allowed since Thrall vs Garrosh in WoD, it falls on deaf ears. Seriously, the first time we see Mak'gora IN GAME, during the pre-expansion patch for Wrath of the Lich King, when Garrosh challanged Thrall, we SAW Thrall use shaman magic during the fight! People are dumb.
she didn't cheat tho. magic is usable in these matches UNLESS specific rules are states before fight... like hand to hand only or weapons only etc no rules were set. this was a no holds bat match to the end. she was deliberately cutting shallow in different places to gloat and make saurfang suffer. her speed strength and skill was easily cutting saurfang down. if she wanted to end it she could of quick. saurfang hurt her which she did not expect as he split the sword... that made her snap revels herself and then she'd had enough of messing around and death magic'd him. that makes saurfang's death really honourable. he lost in a proper to death battle but he was the only one fighting for the horde. it's a true soldiers death
I gotta say, as much as I despised her as Warchief this xpac (the role never fit her at all), I'm interested to see where her story goes now that she doesn't have to be shackled down by the illusion of giving a shit about the Horde.
I don't believe Sylvanas need a redemption arc. Pulling the "The actual bad guy manipulated me all along" card and sparing her is bull. It's like saying we shouldn't kill Arthas because he was possessed by Gul'dan. While we the players love the character, i don't think it make a lick of sense for literally every other characters to be that forgiving.
Lore wise, BFA has been AMAZING! A few plot holes I still don’t understand, but still very good. Gameplay wise, the game is just boring. It feels pointless to grind rep each Xpac when they’re just going to become irrelevant next Xpac.
9:00 …. wait, what? "I'm glad the horde isn't the bad guys again this expansion" ..!?!?!?! This entire expansion has been showing how evil and stupid and incompetent and worthless the horde is.... how impossible it is for anybody in the horde to ever take responsibility for their actions. And I say this as a horde player !!!! This writing is terrible and shameful.
