Those suits made them more TRUE to what you thought they were. I was 17 when first exposed to the Penthouse Player's Clique. I was impressionable, but not EASILY swayed. When I saw that Paid The Cost album cover, I was like "This looks like some shit I gotta listen to!!" Same way I felt about The Ice T Rhyme Pays Cover. These guys were like your UNCLES , putting you up on game!" Playa Hamm was a Lethal Lyracist (Blaq is a Poet etc) and Tweed Cadillac was the Verifier and enforcer that STAMPED it! I remember introducing the album to my friends and us learning those songs WORD 4 WORD. While watching VIDEO JUKEBOX we finally put the face to TWEED's famous lines... "Somethin bout cho face, make me wanna slap it! Sumpthin bout cho eye, make me wanna Black it!" MAAAAAAAAAN!!! Was like damn! Check out the Bald dude with the "fur"! That album is one of my Top 10, if not Top 5....and that's saying A WHOLE LOT. I tell people till this day.... That's the most slept on Album in HipHop/Rap. Those guys epitomized "Upper Echelon" in a kid from St.louis' eyes.... "I'm livin PPC and PPC lives in me!" .... Thanks for the Dopeness.

I think it's time that rappers start giving flowers to people like Tweed, Tray Dee, and Freddie B--those who inspired the D.j. Quiks, Snoop Doggs, and Too Shorts. This dude is just too cool for words.

Morris Day is one of my favorite musicians. The Time is my favorite band. I did like the look of PPC as they dressed like The Time. Very classy and cool.
