I took a nice ride on my ~20 yr old GS yesterday. Watching your video, what a progression the GS has made over the years. Great roads and scenery Pow - can’t wait to see the rest!
Thanks John. Beautiful Bavarian countryside. The GS has a great color scheme going for it. The transmission definitely has the BMW clunk between shifts on the lower end. Does this model come with a quick shifter? I don't recall. That big boxer twin will definitely have enormous pull from the mid range on up. Great seeing you out there again. So glad you healed up so that you could still do this adventure. Gord
the GS has a quick shifter, which I tested a few times but mostly forgot that it was there. Love that bike, though. I have to say it handled great in the twisties, which are to come in earnest in the next video parts
@@JohnnyPowRides Thanks John. Glad to hear you are having a blast and loving the GS. Hopefully you'll have more opportunity to try out the quickshifter and see how it helps in the twisties. Regarding lighter bikes, it seems that the new CFMOTO 450MT may be the off-road unicorn. Gord
So I guess I totally missed a video somewhere but I have no idea what this ride is or how long? Rental bikes I guess. Europe obviously. Nice job on the video though John.
I did a rental-tour ride in Germany, Austria (a little), and the Italian Alps (a lot). The next video parts will be the following days exploring the Dolomites on our day rides out of and back to Canazei
Fantastisch!

Looks like the trip of a lifetime, been waiting for this vid for sure. Glad you've healed up....ride careful.
Great to see you back out there, John. That big GS looks like fun!
the GS was a lot of fun!
Sneeze sounded totally German. Is the baby part of the bike? Wow- some great roads already!
Great looking ride but I would have liked to go slower so I could take in the scenery.
Some Itchy Boots theme music there, nice! Scenery looks epic. Thanks!
ahh I knew that music was familiar, couldn't figure out where I knew it from ;/
