I just got 2 pairs from Dicks sporting goods for $150 of these boots, but with the folder over tongue and in black MIJ. What a deal, best leather boot on the market. I also have these in red MIJ, but those were pricey.
Can never get enough of these boots so much so I just bought another Morelia 2 replacement for my already heavily well worn MIJ morelia 2. Whether it’s the MIJ or Elite,the morelia 2 is just built so much for comfort and durability. I say the Morelia 2 definitely is in my top 5 favorite football boots of all time. Do love the Adler Horenso I have in my rotation but I say I slightly prefer the Morelia 2 given it’s more padded.
Ya I tried the Adler Yatagarashus and the leather definitely was stupidly soft, but I personally do prefer the more cushioned, pillowy touch of the morelia 2s. It's hard when you appreciate a boot and it's craftsmanship but not personally love it. I personally like even the 442s better than the adlers just bc of that more padded touch.
I have extremely wide feet… Since the Adidas ace 17 isn’t available anymore, I tried lots of boots and nothing was good for me. Now I want to try leather boots. I am between this Mizuno boot and the Adidas Copa Mundial. The Copa is proved over time… But what makes the mizuno better? Hope for an advice, which of these two boots I should pick. I have them the MIJ Mizuno Morelia 2 in red, but I prefer wearing them on turf. Since the upper is not as responsive as a synthetic. I feel like I can only use them on top quality turf fields to feel more stable in them. Unfortunately, the turf eats away at the soft leather faster then in grass fields.
I have the MIJ's in the Dyna pack and the fit and feel is amazing. Unfortunately I got them true to size like a lot of reviewers recommended and there is a decent amount of dead space above the smaller toes. I can still play in them and they are definitely the most comfortable boots I've owned, but I think going half a size down for the Morelia 2's and letting them stretch is probably the best bet. I have wide feet and wear 27.5 / 9.5 US in Nike and I thought these would fit correctly because I have some NEO III Pros in 27 and while they fit better now were definitely super tight with hotspots and cramping. Maybe there's a difference in sizing with MIJ models or between the NEOs and the Morelia 2, but I def want to raise awareness to potential buyers.
Appreciate your review. I ended up taking a chance on a pair of these. Uk11 size. Bought true to size. Initial impressions are of excellent comfort and construction. They have good (big) wiggle room in the toes. Some may not like this. Heel cup seems to sit well on me, considering my narrow heel. I have quite wide feet and compared to a uk11 puma leather boot, these are so much more comfortable out of the box. The pumas are fully stretched but even now are too narrow (big time spillage over a sole plate is not conducive to good running). Given my foot width (wider than average but I dont wear specific wide fit running shoes), I wasnt sure about going a half size down.
There is not a lot of difference between the elite and MIJ, I would get the elite, it's a good boot, and it has an amazing value for money. Good job on the review.

The difference is, Morelia M8 boots feature a premium K-leather upper. Internal heel counter and Special stitching (cross stitch) to reduce stretching. Also it’s not folded tongue. Hope this helps. I have a pair of them. It’s called ‘Mizuno Morelia II MIJ M8’
Hey love your videos but need to just argue about the Elites being almost identical to the MIJ version, they’re not! The MIJ’s are about 50 grams lighter than the elites and actually lighter than the Neo’s as well, they’re insane. The Elites are great boots but the MIJ’s are unreal for comfort and weight. They are crazy expensive, but I believe once you wear them for the first time you’ll have no regrets. Anyway, keep up the good work cheers
Just realised I was wrong on both accounts re the weight sorry. Checked my facts and the MIJ’s are about 25 grams lighter than the Elite’s and about 10 grams heavier than the Neo’s. Apologies I got a bit excited as they’re my favourite boots to date. And yeah I think if you can get the elites discounted you’ll be laughing. Cheers

im also the same size and the morelia 2 mij and all my toes are pushing the leather of the boot going half a size down whould be almost impossible

I changed the laces on the Rebula Cup. They are great boots, but the stock laces were not very good.
