Okay, I was looking for something to jam to this morning, so I shuffled through my saved vids from you and other UA-camrs, but then UA-cam recommended this one before I made a choice, so I clicked on this. Anyway, WOW, seriously! This is absolutely on point, and may be the best full song backing track I have jammed along to on UA-cam. The feel and groove are a lot more mellow than I usually play it with my band, but after jamming to your track, I really need to rethink how I play this song live! The mellowness of your choice of instruments and phrases really opens up a lot of creative lead playing doors. Seriously, awesome track. This is definitely going into the small handfulls of what I call "Go to Dead tracks" to play along with!
Thanks, man! I spent a lot of time on this one trying to get it "just right". Wanted to make sure to get those planned "hits" and Phil bombs in there - which is a lot of fun to try to nail when soloing. Let me know if you post a video playing along with it - you're a good player!
I like the 80s onwards versions simply because they've got their "hits" in the solo and last version planned out. Before that (and in some later versions) they were simply done on Bob's cue, but I like the planned ones - it also keeps you on your toes as a soloist. It's amazing how effortlessly Jerry nails those in the midst of his improvisations!
Gotta Collab with Jeff Williams. This is good shit bro.
best berth a jam track on the tube!!! now im gonna learn the solo,,,thanks dude....love your content!

Hey man love this backing track. Also could you do a video lesson on Jerry's he's gone rhythm parts pls
Nice. Have you recovered from your "Jerry advent calendar?".
LOL. Yeah, totally.
If you do a lesson on altheas slide guitar for the whole song I will pay for the lesson.
Do you prefer pre-hiatus or post-hiatus versions? I prefer the longer solos of post-hiatus myself. ✌️
