MONTREAL Demo - Manif COBP 2022

The 26th annual demonstration against police brutality (Collectif Opposé à la Brutalité Policière COBP) took place on Tuesday, March 15. The demo began at the Lionel-Groulx metro station at around 6 o'clock. The protestors marched around the Saint-Henri neighborhood near the city center. In support of wet'suwet'en, a railroad was blocked for around 10-15 minutes. A small group of demonstrators threw some trash cans on the streets, broke the windows of a Dollarama store and a bank. As usual the police ended the demonstration by teargassing and kettling the crowd. One person was arrested.
La 26e manifestation annuelle contre la brutalité policière (Collectif Opposé à la Brutalité Policière COBP) a eu lieu le mardi 15 mars. La manifestation a débuté à la station de métro Lionel-Groulx vers 18 heures. Les manifestants ont défilé dans le quartier Saint-Henri près du centre-ville. En soutien à wet'suwet'en, une voie ferrée a été bloquée pendant environ 10 à 15 minutes. Un petit groupe de manifestants a jeté des poubelles dans les rues, brisé les vitrines d'un magasin Dollarama et d'une banque. Comme d'habitude, la police a mis fin à la manifestation en lançant des gaz lacrymogènes et en attaquant la foule. Une personne a été arrêtée.
