Everything changed after several from our local private sector persuaded our city administration and other elected officials to substantially help allocate public funding for a much needed infrastructural overhaul that not only would result in attractive streetscapes and pedestrian-friendly environments but fuel a still ongoing wave of mixed-use development and investment just within this last decade. Nowadays, after 70 years of decline and neglect, developers can’t move fast enough to satisfy the growing demand for our Warehouse District’s highly sought after residential and commercial spaces.
