You should head down to Kamloops sometime and show off your work to Mike Miltimore at Riversong guitars. He's almost as much of a guitar nerd as Ben Crowe.
For just the guitar, materials put me back about $150 (Canadian), but that's because I used cheap construction materials. You're probably looking at about $500 for decent wood and hardware. And you've got to have the tools - that's where the real expense is. If you're an avid woodworker already I suggest just watching youtube videos on guitar building, maybe check out the Guild of American Luthiers (luth.org), buy some wood and just try it out - it's what I did. If you're not set up for woodworking, try a kit from Stewmac, Lmii, Tim Sway (New Perspectives Music), or Solo Music Gear (and others). You'll get everything you need to build the guitar in the kit, and shouldn't need too many specialized tools to get the job done. And sorry for the delayed reply! - I've been ignoring my channel for a few months.

I have a weakness for parlour guitars too... and am slightly triggered by the use of pine too! I thought I was more open minded than that :) B
