We are not so sure, because we don't know the full story. Doren with all their negligence still managed to refer him to another hospital successfully and he was still alive. What happened afterwards? We can't just judge the whole case by seeing a 30seconds video online haba.
Which negligence? Na the hospital go bear the brunt of the severe head injury? Everyone likes blaming the hospital for their country's and individual misfortune. Now that almost all the doctors and nurses in Nigeria have left the country, people will start feeling their impact now. More complaints will start popping up now.
From a purely medical point of view....When a patient is in a car crash....The only care emergency services have at that point is evacuate, treat and then police can take up whether he drank or he didn't drink later during his recovery.
Drunk drive in the UK is a very serious offence. But it's not seen as an offence in Nigeria, so long as nobody is injured. Even see some police get drunk in uniform
I think the business of the hospital is to profer solutions and save lives, not to engage in circumstances that led to the problem. Hospitals are not places where right or wrong are determined. Though there’s no certainty that he would’ve lived even if he had the best care and attention, the hospital should’ve been seen to have done their best. After all, we do our best to rescue even those who have decided to commit suicide. In the end, may the soul of the departed find rest in the bossom of the Lord.
Pls my people run🏃 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ for any name and anything called Doren hospital 🏥 or Dowan and Doreen schools🏫 pls run 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ from Any hospitals or schools that start with the word D’”. In Nigeria 🇳🇬 ooo
It's sad to see people discuss issues like this only when they come up. The way it goes is this: people would blame the hospitals, blame the hospital staff and then keep quiet. The same thing happened during Sylvester Orononi's case. Nigerians don't know how to hold their government accountable. Their government know that what they have put in place for them as hospitals are inadequately equipped and so they jet out of the country every now and then for treatment. The citizens don't demand that the government equip their under-equipped hospitals but always met their anger on the frustrated hospital staff who remain helpless working with inadequate tools under poor conditions. Private hospitals try to bridge the lapses in the health sector by trying to provide the Services that should have been provided by government hospitals in the first place (the same happens in the education sector where public schools can no longer offer standard education to pupils and students up to tertiary education from primary). Because medical equipments are very expensive, many private hospitals can not afford to buy the necessary ones for optimal functioning, hence some of the lapses seen as regards services rendered by many of them. For instance, an MRI machine costs about $1million to $3million dollars. That's just MRI machine alone. The same goes for many other important gadgets. How many hospitals can afford that? If doctors are to set up standard world class hospitals in Nigeria, I can bet no single doctor in Nigeria will be able to do that. Yet their hospitals get sued for not doing some necessary things they can not do because they lack the financial capacity to do. Someone said the private hospitals should be closed down if they don't have all the equipments they need to work with. Walahi, if they do that, Nigerians will suffer more. Nigerians should demand better hospitals from their government. Almost all veterinary (animal) hospitals in the UK are better equipped than Nigerian general hospitals. One can even sleep on the floor of these veterinary hospitals.

Sincerely you are very correct, if the right respondent with their ambulance was there it will determine if is Deran or Evercare hospital to be taken, all this are major point that might safe life first
All talks due to the fact that the deceased was a celebrity or prominent son's individual. Lots of Nigerian died every moment of every bless day. Until we're doing the right thing, nothing will ever change. Just a thought
Will should learn please, oga Rico did not have a heart attack, container did not drop on him, a moving truck did not hit him, this death could have been avoided there won't have been need for hospital if he was not drunk or on high speed.
You guys are mixing up things here . Correlation does not necessarily mean causality. For the fact that it was alleged that alcohol was found in his blood does not mean he had the car accident due to alcohol consumption, it may be a probable cause but no one has determined if he was disoriented or lost inhibition before the crash. Did any forensic investigator visit the crash scene and take any clue from there?. Yes over consumption of alcohol may affect the reaction time of a driver which may lead to an accident but that does not mean that all those who drink drive always end up in accident so let us be cautious in this generalisation. Secondly, even if the alcohol was responsible for his accident, assuming that was the case , that is entirely a different thing to that professionalism of the hospital staffs where he was admitted. For the fact that someone was responsible for his or her illness or situation does not diminish the level of care he or she should get so let us not mixed up things here. More mportantly, we dont have all the facts yet , more information may come out tomorrow that may change the whole debate so we must be circumspect in our discussion and dont take everything as trending opportunities or for rating or to display that we are smart. This is someone's son, brother, nephew and uncle, so in all that we do let us give it a human face .

The hospital failed him . Aunty Kemi is defending the hospital and talking rubbish . Who was the Good Samaritan that took the video and you said he disappeared and no where to be found . How could a Good Samaritan follow the doctors and nurse into the theatre ? From what I know the health workers takes charge of the patient from the lobby . No Good Samaritan would be allowed to go into the theatre with the health workers
The patient was never taken to any theatre, that was not a theatre but an Emergency room, after that he was taken to the intensive care unit of another hospital.
Go and read the doren hospital press release. don't judge by 30 seconds video done by the same people that brought him to the hospital. that place , he was been taken to the car that will convey him to Evergreen hospital where he died 72 hours later.
My own opinion is that for the fact that Doren Hospital gave him a first treatment, accepted him from a Good Samaritan is a thumps up for them, Futher more the hospital is not a accident and trauma emergency hospital, If the hospital didn’t attend to him may be he would have aspirated all his vomits and that alone is enough to kill in seco
