Wow what a weekend lads to have all the reiter lads swarm the car you must have felt like a don and the murci certainly didn't look out of place parked with those legends fair play to ya Phil your living your best life
Seeing and hearing those older GT1 cars is epic. They feel more special (to me) than the current crop of GTs. Good to see Al is back filming with you guys.
i CANNOT FUCKING IMAGINE the feeling of building a car over months and months and months. a year+? even only to park it infront of the people who inspired it and have THEM stop stare and fawn over it. Hell i only watched the videos and it got me in the feels. The reserved every man semi behind the scenes who stared at it day in day out and did the body work himself should be a car culture celebrity.
I'm sat here, trying to think about what I wanna write but I think it is summed up in the video itself. From "Hey, you built a car inspired by our car and we like it and we want to give you All-access VIP passes to SPA24 and park next to our R-GT in the display row" to all the friendly people, being told that F1 GTR is road legal by a bloke you instantly recognize the surname of, the grave yard aka "You might be able to afford the car but can you afford to drive it?". I'm so glad you filmed all of this and so glad Jay got to see Scooter (again, probably ;)). Plus: Imagine your road-legal supercar, in a very neutral colour, looks as exciting if not more than a race spec version sitting right next to it!
Thank you for sharing an epic weekend the car is awesome we no this . Sounds and smells of all those incredible cars is addictive . You all represent the 🇬🇧 with pride 👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧
brakediscs and pads do get changes, like 2-3x in a 24h race, they got quite the unique fittings where they simply unbolt the caliper and disconnect the brakeline with a fitting that allows them to connect the new lines without getting air in the system. Therefore its a simple quickchange solution without bleeding the whole system each time
They change the brakes only one time during the 24 currently, some cars could even do it without a brake change since there is a mandatory 5 minute stop though it wouldn't make sense to not change them.
Done endurance racing many times now with a team, We run 2x Ginetta’s we take a 3rd complete car as spares and multiples of the basics…. Brake pads, disks, shocks, a couple of diffs, drive shafts, props and nornally a spare engine. When we race in Dubai 24hr we use 2x 40ft containers.
I absolutely love the fact that as you're driving through the paddock/pit/service area everyone's head just turn to look at the car! Also, to add, class editing from Al - as is usual!
Great video!24h races are the epitome of racing and as i said before in the series of building this car, this is probably the best looking Lambo in the world!
It felt pretty special taking my Noble to LeMan 24hr with all the attention. A GT1 inspired Lambo must be insane around so many who will fully appreciate it.
I passed you guys on the M20 between Stop 24 and Ashford, was in a Jackson's Fencing lorry. Almost made me hit the stupid operation Brock barriers lol. The car looks stunning👍👍
That Diablo racecar was really cool , and that F1 wasn't bad either. I can't believe these cars are considered Historic now, damn I feel old. This generation of racing and cars to me was the Golden Era, (80s-90s--early-00s)
Lovely to see you guys getting the recognition you deserve for that awesome build! My dad used to work for a guy who races in British GT and he had a crash at oulton a few years ago in a Mercedes AMG gt3, the damage bill was £80k+. Over a race weekend including practice they will use over 15 sets of tyres (this is for two 1 hour races, quali and practice), not sure on the fuel loads but it obviously full blown race fuel. Its certainly not a poor mans game.
11:04 - Does that mean we can expect cheap DB9 as a next project car? Taking into consideration that their price is actually in the low right now, it would be a great continuation of V12 in the garage.
I had a great day today and then watched this video this evening with dinner so an awesome end to the day. You guys deserve that invite by Reiter, great of you to share your weekend in this video.
Really pleased you guys were so warmly received and you should be rightly proud of the Murcielago build, it's awesome. You can tell the love for that car is entirely genuine with the Reiter guys - deservedly so. Just one thing about the video... would have been nice to have heard more of the cars, and a bit less of the music. Maybe that's just cuz I'm old! haha!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Love motorsports and the peter auto events are amazing. Le Mans and le mans classic next year will be unmissable.
Historic racing is the coolest, I have been lucky enough to work a few races as a truckie in my time, the DTM cars are always a highlight but for sheer noise it’s the gta and Lola cars, Quite a few teams in the UK operate and look after historic cars like samways in Banbury which is well worth a visit if you ever have the need.
Also have you seen the amount of koenig Ferraris coming out of Japan via auction the last few years. Not wanting to plant a seed but you know…. I’m not a Ferrari man but the Koenig era cars were cool A F

Hi Phil, Congratulations both with the Lamborghini as well as this fantastic opportunity to go to Spa with Reiter. This was a great video!, really enjoyed it! 😁👍 Hopefully I can get to LZ festival at Mondello next month and see the Driftworks cars 🤞🏻
I'm beyond jealous. My favorite gt race there is. I watch every year. I've been to Barcelona for GTWC, amazing sound. Some day I'll make it here. Thanks for the upload, almost felt I was there.
You'll be waiting a long time. I have had airjacks on one of my cars before. It's a total pain in the arse and I ended up removing them. This car is only for the road, so I'd never fit them.
This Al guy seems to be quite handy with a camera, maybe he should make a career out of it! ;) Very entertaining video, thnx guys! And in case Starkey reads this: all these shenanigans recently made me order a couple of wheels from you guys...
Always loved the R-GT GT1. I’m a huge racing Lamborghini fan anyway (can’t wait for the LMDh/GTP car in ‘24) but I always felt a little sorry for Reiter with this car. It should have done more and won more (it was a great race car) but if I remember the MC12 (and possibly the Aston DBR9) came out and they just moved the goalposts so much the poor Lambo was rendered obsolete almost immediately. I guess in modern GT racing it would have been BOP’d to keep it more competitive. However still one of my favorite GT1 cars. That engine was just biblical. 😂
That's pretty much what the Reiter guys told me. In addition there was a hint that it could have been solved/improved with more investment by Audi, but wasn't.
I find it so hard when it comes to supercars to find anything sexier or more appealing than the Maserati MC12. Its understated in a way but so dominating with its looks. It gives me the sense its not the fastest car on the planet, but it will make you feel like it is regardless of going 60 in traffic or 160 through a bend.
@ 9:28 the McLaren, Mercedes & Ferrari back 2 back clips are 🔥🔥 some of my dream cars no doubt, not exactly that Ferrari model. Maybe the f8, sf90, 488 pista, f12tdf, 458 Speciale A are all solid modern Ferrari’s
bro I saw your car what the hell I thought it belonged to REITER engineering lmao, thats so cool honestly and I made some pictures of it when it was next to the gas station!

Didn't the Ford GT team work that out for Le Mans, if they could do rapid disc changes they'd win the race. You can probably thank Mr Shelby.
They change the brakes only one time during the 24 currently, some cars could even do it without a brake change since there is a mandatory 5 minute stop though it wouldn't make sense to not change them.
