Ernest Borgnine talks about the greats, he was one of the acting greats. He did comedy, dramatic roles, TV and Movies. He was one of my favorite actors of his time.
Ernie Borgnine God bless him; took every opportunity to say honest genuine kind anecdotes about his fellow actors. I feel very fortunate that he lived long enough to enjoy not only his acting but interviews which contained many wonderful unknown facts that would otherwise been left unknown. Facts that changed ( positive) how the media had portrayed many people in the industry negatively.
Some years ago (2005) my wife and I had a 'Marty Party' where we invited a group of people [mostly writers] to view the film, 'Marty'. Not one week later my wife and I were in a theater to view a screening of a movie and who comes in and sits right next to us but Ernest Borgnine. He was the most gracious man I'd ever met, literally. He also seemed shocked but greatly pleased that a bunch of young people would gather around to celebrate his accomplishment of 50 years prior. His kind of grace (and talent) is rare. RIP
His performance in "Emperor of the North(pole)"is a tour de force and his confrontation with another great, Lee Marvin, is compelling to watch. Thank you for posting.
Thank-you for uploading this TVLEGENDS. Ernest Borgnine was such a true talent and what he said about Frank Sinatra caring for/assisting Lee J Cobb was BEAUTIFUL. There needs to be some kind of health/hospitalization benefit for actors who reach a certain age...say, 40 since many actors aren't financially fit.

'Marty' one of my favorite movies, he won the academy award for best actor and he definitely deserved it.
