- Today I am out trying to find whatever water is left to fish in our draining lake! The original creek beds are all that remain on this part of the lake so we are hoping to find some big ones trapped and hungry in there! Follow along to see everything I'm able to haul onto shore! THAT IS INSANE!! I can't believe you caught that Buffalo. That thing was massive. So were all those crappie. Sucks you lost your seat but thank God that was the worst of it. I did notice you have had your tackle box that J gave you for Christmas in the last few videos. It's so awesome to see how much you love it. The fish you caught at 30:57 is one of them crappie i remember our lake producing back in the day. There still I'n there. Just have to find them. He reminded me of the mounted ones in the bait shop from back in the day. What a haul.

The fish vote with their fins ! The slabs have more to say about what’s good and what isn’t. 13” and up are the voters who have the say-so for what’s the best bait. Water clarity, temperature and lure color(s) along with lure size will help you define lure preference and with presentation
will fill a stringer or fish basket. A cast net can help you identify the live bait selection and you can determine what to try for a lure.

I just got my order from Discount Tackle yesterday and I'm completely stocked with the new Zman Micro Shad Fryz and new Zman Micro jigheads made for them. I also got restocked with Missle Baits Ike's Swim jigs & Mini D Chunks. They were awesome last year but I ran out from breakoffs. Anyway, this video was a good one!!! You started out like some of my outings, but you came back and made a great day from the crappy start,....no pun intended. I love the Panaramas!!! I'm now getting a feel for these micro baits from Zman. I'm going to be targeting my favorite lake this year now that it's entering it's it's second year since all the construction. Yes sir I'm going to be concentrating on Lake Poinsett!!! It's been a good recovery and the fish are getting well acclimated with the full lake. It's going to be time to see how it has recovered. Get a hold of me and we'll put together a visit if you wish?? Poinsett is gonna be really good this year
Is that reel a Daiwa Revros?? I got a couple of them. A 200 & a 300. Both are work horses and I have used both every single time I go out.

Seth Boone is the superintendent there and he's doing an awesome job. We've spoken together a few times. But looks like there's not a lot of anglers talking about success there. I want to change that. It was the first lake I fished when I first moved here. Within 2 yrs, I had landed some of my biggest catches there on the dam

Please be careful guys we just had a duck hunter fall out of his kayak and drowned on Lake Guntersville. Maybe get the life vest that deploy when you hit the water.
Those Panorama's look great but for the cost I'll stick with the Crappie Magnets. They are by far the best fish catching bait for the money!!!! For the 50 packs it's about .12 each bait, and they flat out catch fish!!! I've had the thought many times, why do I keep buying different baits for more money when the Crappie Magnet is the best bang for you buck and catches more fish (in my experience) than all of the others I have tried.
I feel that 100%! We like to have some variety to mix in on those days when they get picky and I think that’s where to panorama will shine. Still working on figuring out the best jighead for it but it’s awesome!
What size jigheads were you using on both jigs? I typically like using 1/16 so I can get a little more distance especially in windy conditions.
Both 1/16 in this vid! Usually I do a 1/32 but it was too windy

You have fished this particular body of water a number of times and always seem to do quite well. Makes me wonder. Why are there never other people fishing this location? Is it a private location where you need permission first or some other answer? Just curious.

your seat is right there on the bank at 4:56 it shouldn't of been that hard to see.
It’s a steep drop off and since I lost my anchor in the process it made it really hard for me to locate it. I tried for nearly a half hour to snag it with my jigs and feel it with my paddle. If I jumped that way when I fell out it would have been over my head

I would have liked to see you cook up that buffalo. Rib him out! Buffalo ribs out of cold water and fixed right are as good as anything you can eat. White meat and no trashy taste. Look it up because there is a few things to do when cleaning but well worth it. I’m a crappie guy but love those Buffalo ribs.

Durability is good when crappie bite it. Drum and catfish can be hard on it. I found it’s better to use jig heads that don’t have wire keepers. Or to use jig heads that have no keepers and just glue them in place
