@@bryancooper2479 17 is an amazing age for a Border, Bodie is now a super 5 year old. He is our 3rd Border and is the best bits of his predecessors rolled into one. We feel very lucky to have him. Our dogs will always be in our hearts. Our second Border is buried in her favourite woods and I take a few stones when I can to remember her with. Thanks for the comment. Simon
This is just like my forest walks with my departed boy Zak, and my current girl Kira! Borders are such great companions. I love watching them in the forest.
Brilliant terrier the Border Terrier and the only terrier they can trace back more years then other terrier breeds mine was from the Dandyhow breeding all round working terrier to quarry and lots of wins at terrier working terrier shows 👌💋👍
Try to spend as much time in the garden or outdoors at the times you have observed them going to the toilet. They do naturally want to go outside, it’s not as difficult as some say as long as you can spend the time with them. Get a crate for the car and nights, lifesaver. Good luck😎😎
@@syncrosimon Thank you! Ours seems to want to go indoors rather than outside for a no2 he does a wee outside no problem we will keep trying and persevering hes only 10 weeks old so plenty of time :)
Guaire McKenna Hey! I know they are so beautiful I have a border terrier called Jock and the breeder gave us some instructions of things like them running away when they see a squirrel or something. If I’m being honest you just have to watch them and make sure that they have great recall before letting them off most of the time
Bodie is pretty good at recalls. I find the best thing to do is make a real fuss of him at home when he comes to command, then he usually will do out and about. He is a great dog🥰🥰
You just have to be very consistent with walks and the training from the get go. Their goal is to please their people. Just don’t go off leash near roads, to be safe.
I love how he keeps looking back to make sure you’re still there.❤️
Great to have a Border video with no music!
Love your video such a lovely dog , lost mine at the good old age of 17 lovely years we had together ,it’s now 3 years since still miss her Terribly

The best friend you will ever have. Makes your walks about 1000% better.
We have a seven month old border terrier what a fantastic little fella he is.
My 9 week old one thinks its wrong to do his buisness outside and he thinks he should do it inside what to do ? Lol
I love my walks with my little Border Terrier. Best little dog.

What a wonderful breed. We have a two year old named Shatzie.

Dandyhows are the best Borders...
Lovely Early Purple Orchids there, (also Hemlock to left of the brook)
That Sound 💚 lovely dog 😍
Looks a lot like our border Monk , he is 1,5 years old
I've been trying to get my hands on one of these little guys for a bit. I've been so overwhelmed by the amount of resources available. Any advice?
Good dog to stay close at that age.
@@mikemason746 he still does now, I think because he has mainly been off the lead from a very early age👍 5 years old on the 10th July!
Borders are the best
Много хороших отзывов об этой породе. Экстерьер в ней неглавное
Eating everything as usual 🎉😂
At that age my BT's middle name became "What are you eating now?"
Looks about normal!
I just got a Border terrier puppy any tips on toilet training please ? :)

Although it is beautiful views..... I would’ve liked to have seen a bit more of the ‘BT’ as promised in the title 🐶
I agree, I did the edit for my parents initially!!
such a beautiful breed, I've heard there are some times issues with them getting distracted and not coming back when called, have you had this issue?

Only when he chases a rabbit. But comes back after he realises he hasn’t got a chance lol
If you train them well enough they are good , I have one and he’s has got better over time from training and I now never have that problem
