I am SO glad I was reminded to find this, again! It is STILL just as funny as I remembered and surprisingly relevant, even though it was filmed in 2003. The beauty in this special and The Beginning are how absolutely relevant the relatability is in her comedy. People love to laugh at themselves, at the end of the day. I will never forget being a young teen and watching it on HBO, it was around midnight and my Dad was sleeping on the couch, behind me. I had tried as hard I could to not bust out laughing and wake him, but failed numerous times-ESPECIALLY during the "embarrassment" segments. I love how even though I don’t agree with a large majority of Ellen’s views, I truly love her and am grateful for her. She always has me laughing. She’s genuine, caring, and her comedy is so clean!!! It’s so fresh to listen to clean comedy. She’s amazing.
17 years later, and I still think of this special whenever I'm at the movies.
Wow , it wasn’t 10 years ago ? It was 17 ?😮
@@curtrice6060 20 now 😄
I love how Ellen, from such trivial things, shows her point of view .
Not only was this funny. It also made a lot of sense. Thanks Ms. Degeneres.
To whoever uploaded this. Thank you so much. This was the funniest thing ever!
+Kevin Martinez Your welcome :D
Yet no copyright strike? Hmm....
If this is so funny I think your heart would explode if you heard someone that can actually write good material

My gay icon. Kevin Martinez aka King
I had this on dvd YEARS ago then lost it!! It’s Funny…, it’s STILL funny !! Love her sense of humor & humanity!!
I can't decide if she's funny, or just incredibly likeable - either way I was smiling the whole time :)
Are you still just as star struck and can see no wrong in her now that she’s been cancelled by the very woke cancel culture she has promoted and partaken in?
@@vieyel9031 Oh now that all the shit about her mistreating her staff and being a horrible person behind the scenes came out I can never see her in the same way again 🙅♂️
@@Tyurru360 i think you'd be surprised by just how many of these woke cancel culture celebrity types are really terrible ppl. to be fair tho i've only heard the bad news coverage about ellen so i haven't quite got the whole picture yet, i never was a fan of hers so kinda irrelevant for the most part..
@@vieyel9031 Power and money does that to people. I don't think she was like that when she did this show, honestly. It's heartbreaking knowing how she's changed

i have had a horrible 2 weeks, so bad, I am so happy i looked this up.
+Sharon Tarantino So glad you liked. :D
yeah, ellen always makes me laugh. everyone can connect with her. i am a huge bodybuilder dude and even i love Ellen and connect with her style of comedy. she dose comedy for everyone.
I hope your now having a better time 🙂
I don't know when you commented this (I'm on my phone) but I hope you're feeling better now
Ellen has a gift.
The bangs!!! Toilet paper claw, pickle claw!! Both jokes still go through my mind all these years later and I still crack up to myself
Those are my favorite too!
@@luisferr2001 awesome!
Had tears in my eyes during the that's not Nancy part lmao
Ellen and Wanda are the two female comedians that just get me rolling. No other woman can do that for me haha
+Nat Cat Wanda with the story of the mouse on fire. epic.
Jennifer Jackson Yes!!! oh my god
Wanda Sykes? I used to love her until yesterday I tried watching a full standup show of hers... about halfway through I got tired of the swearing and ranting. She tends to belabour a point w-a-a-a-a-a-y past where it's not funny any more.
Nat Cat I love Tig Nataro also!!
have you seen Kathleen Madigan?
Funny she spoke of the history of phones when this was recorded long before smart phones. Right now I'm watching this on my phone.
The only person I know besides Mr bean that can make people laugh without making fun of someone.
I saw this stand up for the first time about 10 years ago now and to this day every time I use a public restroom I think of the toilet paper joke 😂😂
What a joy to have a clean comic. Love her.
it's the first comedian i fall in love with!!! she is amazing, funny and inspiring... a role model for sure :)
Is like watching Dory doing a stand up :D
that's all I could think of while I watched this xD
I don't speak English very well, but the other day I was watching 'Fnding Nemo' and I totally recognized her... but I wasn't sure until I read your comments ( I mean, It's not like I googled it or anything at the time)
Best female stand-up comedian💜💚. Such innocent jokes but absolutely hilarious.
She talks about things all of us have in common. Doesn’t matter what age or gender you are. That’s her appeal….
13 years later and she's still as funny
Way more than 13 years
JustUs funnier ‼️❤️
JustUs I'm laughing so hard lol Imagine she was talking about technology and still made it so timeless.
JustUs
I'm watching in November 2018. Ellen is so honest and fumny!😆
L Clarke
oh! you're just being mean...
she*s got the best timing in the world-) What a treat to watch her entertaining in the deepest sense of the word for an hour with such a flow, with so many nuances and such a lightness... I admire her body of work.
Thank you Ellen! Awesome. I*ve been watching this special many times over the last years and I experience it as fresh and smart and witty as the first time. GREAT Comedian, wow!
I was laughing so f*cking HARD that my mum came in and asked me if it's time to go to the psychologist... GOD ELLEN THANKS FOR THAT HUNDREDS OF ABS I MADE.
She's a brilliant comedian❤
You are definitely my hero, i procrastinate professionaly and will never forget my hip hop past as a white girl 😂❣️ much love my friend
What I love most about this is how it comes full circle. Watched this years ago... and its still amazing.
You may want to see a Dr about your signs of dementia. Godspeed 💞
she makes toilet paper entertaining
awesome!!!!
joke without F or dirty word ,i love her!!!!!
She said a few cuss words...
God, you're boring.
Menina Milenia No you are.
Jesus I just want toilet paper what's funny is I ran out of toilet paper and Jesus creep me out
Fortnite
I watched this years ago with my brother around the time it first came out. we referenced the toilet paper claw and pickle claw for months afterward. and still, to this day, we'll still ask each other randomly "can you help me find my eye?"
"Open here', is that sarcasm?"
Such a fantastic line, and I'm juuuussssstttt old enough to remember how hard it was to open a CD
She has the most exquisitely lovely complexion - not just peaches and cream, but cherries and cream!
(Admiring her beautiful complexion is enhanced by hearing her clean jokes. I just love watching her.)
Ellen is confident, classy, giving, funny and non offensive! 😀👍
Your truly low standards for comedy leave me awestruck.🥰
I needed this today!
I'm so glad Ellen brought some happiness into your day. :D
Always been my favourite comedian! It is truly wonderful to listen to Ellen as she is very talented. Pure raw talent without dropping f bombs.
I can watch this over and over and over again........ and have! Always puts me in a good mood!
When did you get your lobotomy?
she totally predicted vine
Daniel Wallace oh shit
Daniel Wallace yeah pedicted to most stupi thing ever created.. Who would have thought being stupid would be an actual way to make money...
Watching this to help flush Amy Schumer's Netflix special out of my head
Joseph Brennecke omg me too
This should be on Netflix
Same here!
me too!!!
Christian Dupuis I think she did a Netflix special recently. I might be wrong.
She's always so witty and hilarious! Love her so much!!!
This is absolutely fantastic 👏🏼
And am I alone surprised by her rapping?😮😁
I like that she can be really funny and tell stories with humor but and yet not use bad words that shows true Talent
Love this woman to pieces! Her ability to be true to herself so early in her career shows a type of strength that you cannot build; you just have it.
I can't describe ellen she is amazing .. But can we appreciate how beautiful she is ! Sooo cute , she's got a pure soul and innocent eyes .. Gooosh i love her so much hhhhh i definetly can watch her all day long for ever ❤❤❤
She's way funnier than any other comedian I've seen. She's so relatable. 😂 The rolling down the window part was too funny 😂😂👏
That's the saddest thing I've seen in s long time, and I watch a lot of true crime.
