I was diagnosed Feb 2020. Been thru chemo and radiation. Back at it end of December for 2 months more of more chemo. Then scan, and hopefully surgery. I'm over 70 and I'll take what comes.nothing I can control just listen to my doctors and enjoy what I have.

My mother was dignosis with Pancreatic Cancer on May 17, 2020 and died on June 2, 2020. Worst yet is was during the beginning of the Paneminic which caused her to die alone because we couldn't visit her in the hospital. I am still sad about the whole experience!
My husband died of Pancreatic cancer January 2020.. he was just 66. I miss him so very much! He was a good, beautiful man. Worked hard his whole life. Gave us a wonderful retirement. He was my love and my best friend. He never had any bad habits. We had less than 2 months from the time he was diagnosed to the time he died.

I have chronic calcified pancreatitis. Not from drinking but a bad gallbladder. One dr said 50 percent chance of pancreas cancer. Live in fear but I know I will be ok.
I had my gall bladder taken out in '95. I had pancreatitis-I don't drink alcohol or smoke and eat healthy, but did get sick from that fake sugar and can't handle sugar alcohols. A dr. asked if I has eaten any of that imitation crab and chewed any sugar-free gum or candy.. My dad died after eating some imitation crab at a salad bar in '84-which also includes sorbitol. I wonder if these fake sugars had anything to do with gallbladder and pancreas problems as since I've avoided these sugar alcohols I haven't had any more pancreatitis.

I recently cut out Splenda (and before that another fake sugar) after using at least 2-6 packets a day....for at least 30 years. I went through noticeable withdraws for about a month. Just by doing this, I've lost weight. I also cut out 95% of all 'bread' which is diabetes 'country'. Age? Almost 70. Next blood test...April 2022 and can't wait to see how this affected my blood chemistry.
Bob Gibson was a neighbor of mine when I was growing up. He lived 3 blocks away. We kids would see him from time to time mowing the lawn, and we all knew not to bother him when he was home. It really irritated him if he was outside doing something and someone came up and asked for his autograph.

Get your antibodies tested before you go running off to get another shot everytime Fauci, etc.tells you to get ANOTHER booster shot! I didn't mind taking a Small Pox, Polio flu, DPT, Pnuemonia Hepatitis, Shingies, or 2 J&J shots for Covid and I had Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella as a kid (Do I need an antibody test and booster for them every year?).

Steve Jobs had the rare version of pancreatic cancer that was much more treatable than PDAC. But he thought he knew better and decided to forego traditional treatment until it was too late! Sometimes smart, larger than life, people do stupid things .... and it quite likely/possibly cost him his life.

Brother diagnosed Dec 2020, left us on 2nd March ‘21. He never made his 58th birthday. I miss him, a lot.

The first celebrity I knew who died of pancreatic cancer was comedian Jack Benny. He died December 26, 1974 at age 80.

Sadly pancreatic cancer is a death sentence. There is no way to diagnose it until it's way too late. We need more research on this tragic cancer

Yes, smoking is a known cause of Pancreatic cancer. About 25% of people diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer are heavy smokers.
