I don’t always comment but I watch all of your videos, great production values. I recently bought my first board, an Exway Flex OG (with the orange polyethylene wheels) after watching your review. I know its an entry level board but for me its just perfect, I am loving it - cheers!
AHHHHHH! Thank you so much for supporting the channels and watching all of the videos! It means the world to hear comments like this! I’m SO pumped you got yourself a board! Exway. Flex series is perfect board. Their quality is top notch! Keep on commenting please! I love to interact with you electric legends! Otherwise I’m just a crazy man riding a kids toy staring at a camera 🤣
Your video was the only piece of MK1 content that gave me flex and slashability info I needed. I would buy a Renegade Diablo if it wasn't for the dangerous disconnect issue that seems to be a real proablem, and the Onsra Velar is cool but hard to justify at over twice the price. Mk1 order placed, thank you!
You made an amazing choice! Such a fun incredible board and one of my top favorites for the year! Innovation at its finest. The onsra velar is a beast of a board as well but yes the price is up there! Hopefully you used my code to save you even more money off your board!!
I almost waited for this one over getting my N1. However I am happy with my choice. A driving factor was being worried about how gigantic it would be. As a college student and a regular bus taker. I did not want to have to drag around a huge board.
Thanks so much! Sadly I don’t believe so, OWNBOARD hasn’t worked with me in any of there projects. But it looks like a good board, this Linnpower board is spectacular though!
*Great review, a rider's perspective, not just tech specs* 👌🏽 🤟🏽⚡️🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽 Some viewers get really caught up on tech specs but it's all about how it Feels to skate/ride a board. You gave the tech info but didn't dwell on it, focused on the ride 👏🏽👏🏽 Bruv the remote on this 🤩 I'm hopin the remote works on other Hobbywing boards cos I want it 😂 Carvilicious!! I love the sound of precise turnin/carvin 👌🏽
Thank you so much for checking out the video! Always appreciate your comments and input! The ride feel is the most important part honestly. Specs on paper doesn’t matter once it’s under your feet. The remote is awesome. They did such a good job with taking something that is just standard and uplifting it and redesigning everything. Love it.
Thanks for all the review videos, I’m new to the eskate scene but not new to riding all types of boards. This video kinda sold me on this linnpower board. Can you kinda say what’s a great board to get used to the riding as well as riding a variety of terrain. At a max of $1500 would you say this is the board or any of the other you review? Thanks!!!!
This Linnpower is a solid overall board, for all terrain, and the price it’s a great deal. The channel truck style on this board fantastic as well. You have other boards in this category, like Acedeck Nomad N1, OMW Calvary, exway atlas pro, meepo hurricane. There are so many in this 2-1 category, but Linnpower for the price really has amazing quality
Hey! Bang for buck this board offers a lot of great options over the renegade. It has options for bindings, gear drive or belt drive 14s 3/4p, swappable truck system to trampa trucks or other channel trucks. It is a great deal for an urban and off roading board. Top notch quality parts all around. The renegade is more of torque because of the gearing and smaller wheels, the deck is flexible and feels dialed in for the Waah Paah factor. Between the two boards the evolution has a lot to offer for that price, range, power, customization. If the renegade is lighter snappier under the feet feeling, I would say due to the spring system over the bushing system, but again you can swap out the bushings with riptides to dial it in even more. Maybe something I’ll try out later down the road.
I am 6’5” 250 lb. Would this be a good board for a 5 mile commute on rough, cracked and creviced roads? Semi-water resistant for wet conditions? What other model options are good for this? I am looking at off-road for stability and big wheels. Board weight and size are not a big issue. I am an old school skater (street and vert) and this would be my first electric. Top speed not concern. Simple reliability is.
This is a large wide board with the ability to out even larger 9” tires on it, though the stock tires are massive! The light version or the pro version will take care of your needs as far as commuting as well. Being that they have plenty of range for that, it’s even got the ability to strap on bindings allowing you to really take full advantage of off roading as well. There are other boards as well but not in this price range, more expensive than this board for more power or range. Which I don’t think from your needs are worth the extra money! The eco is an awesome board and personally one of my favorites for the year, they have spent Lot of time and detail making it safe and reliable with custom made parts. As far as ride feel compared to old school very and street this will feel like and SUV 😂 it’s not going to feel like anything you’ve ridden compared to regular Skating. This is a mode of transportation that’ll put a smile in your face every time you step on it! Is there any other models you’ve looked at, or questions you have that I can help out with? If you do end up grabbing this awesome beast, make sure to check out the link in the description and use my code to save even more money off of it! Cheers my man! 🍻
@@DrewElia this is great, thanks, I was also considering the Meepo Hurricane, Ace Nomad Wowgo AT2+, Exway Atlas .. ideally in the $800-1200 price range. I do favor boards you have reviewed, because you are also a bigger guy and I can trust your ride impressions more than someone who weighs 150 lbs. I am a little worried that some decks are too flexy for a 250 lb rider. And I don’t have a clue which company is going to exist in 3-5 years if I need replacement parts. And in general which brands are known more for reliability. Features aren’t a big deal for me, I am also a “set it and forget it” person. Just want simple and reliable, ok to pay a little more upfront for less hassle later
Hey Drew thanks for the vid! Question: Z3 elite, or Evo Mk1 Pro+ a suspension truck like trampa? Do you think the Evo can be as capable as Z3? I’m only concerned about range with the Evo. I forgot to mention I currently ride an N3 (bought after watching your review on it). So I don’t want to get another board too similar to it.
Hello Casey! Thanks for checking out the video really appreciate it! That’s a good question with a lot of follow up questions behind it haha. Mostly what would you want to use it for? Strictly off roading, a hybrid street and off-roading? The elite will have more range cause of the 14/6 battery pack so that’s not really a fair case against the Evo. the deck on the Evo is very nice though, and if you don’t want a top mounted battery box you the Evo is nice. Plus the ability to slap on some 9” tires with the Evo quickly to really hit the trail is very nice! The trampa truck series will definitely be a great addition to the Evo riding experience as well, so it’s kinda hard to say? Both the z3 and Evo definitely earned a spot in the off roading area. But for the price the Evo gives you more money in your pocket to change things out how you want to customize your ride. Plus 1008wh of capacity is a lot of battery still. I will be doing a follow up video of the Evo and using it with bindings as well so stay tuned.
@@DrewElia I’m hoping to do a hybrid type of riding. Like riding street to get to local trailheads. Which is why I was concerned about range. But I agree with you. The value and versatility of the Linnpower can’t be beat. You just sold me on a second board, I just placed the order on the pro! 😆 used your discount code. Thanks for your help! 🤙🏽
I very much plan to put bindings on her and take her off roading! I just found this field near my home that has those perfect grassy waves and now I’m Obsessed with ripping around on them 😆
Well that’s kinda no comparison because if the DKP in the bamboo, they were made for carving deep. The Evo is made for mountain boarding and bindings but has for channel trucks really decent turning radius and WAAH PAAH. Kinda Apple to oranges comparison. Does that answer the question?
Yes, it does have a similar look, they have the diy in mind because of the swappable truck system, and with gear drive and belt drive options you can really make it your own. I love the look of it personally
I need someone to review it with street wheels in mind, don't think it would work with the gear drive but will it work with the belt drive version with the way the trucks are fixed on the nose & tail ?
This really wasn’t designed with urethane wheels in mind. The ground clearance wouldn’t work and the enclosure would scrape due to the flex of the deck. I’ll confirm but I’m sure it wouldn’t be enough space
two different boards! This is a great stable board, the 14/3 and 14/4 batteries are series amount of range, the power is great and the on and off-roading with the Evo is fantastic. the tynee ultra x pro is a boosted style longboard lighter weight and fun for everyday use as well.
@@DrewEliathanks Drew, appreciate the amazing content. Yes two very different the ultra x has my interest because of being able to put on a somewhat off-roader wheel in a smaller profile, but the Evo looks like quiver killer. I’m new so there is so much to research.
there are so many good options these days, and its getting harder for us as consumers to pick and choose which is the right fit. personally its never been better to buy a eskate, but just lay out what you are looking for in a board and see what options fit that category. also are you looking for longevity of the board meaning growing into the board vs buying a little cheaper and than feeling like you want to upgrade sooner. I went that route when I first started and It only took me 3 months to buy a $1500 skateboard haha. but its your journey, im happy to help point you in the right path
ohhhh good question! Thats hard cause they are totally different boards though! Calvary is that DKP carve machine while the Evo is that off-roading monster! you're not going to be upset with either board haha but it depends on what you would want out of your board. The Evo with that 14s/4p 50s does give you A LOT OF RANGE 1008wh 20ah of range. So depends on what you want as a rider.
than I would go with the more capacity. evo mk1 will give you the most range with the larger battery size, but you really can't beat either or, they both have great range.
I would love to see a faceoff with this and the renegade by evolve. The price difference may be the reason I go with this if the stats are almost identical
Ah the two versions of the evo mk1 offers a lot of bang for buck, gear drive or belt drive, bindings, 14s 3/4p channel truck with the ability to swap everything out to whatever you wanted like trampa trucks as well. All really well built and quality use, evolve renegade offers more flexibility and is a lighter, more torque in the renegade as well because gearing and smaller tires. But you can swap all of that out on the Linnpower evo. Bang for buck and customizable options the evo mk1 is a winner.
