Nice rendition. I like the tempo and the general atmosphere created, but not some of the ornaments, the rubato created in several places and some rhythmic choices that almost falsify the score.

@@rainbowwarrior9018 Une métaphore (c'est sa raison d'être) devrait pouvoir se passer d'explications ;-) Mais explicitons donc. Vous connaissez la comptine "Pince-mi et pince-moi sont dans un bateau, etc"? Oui? Alors je peux continuer. Pur sel et pur sucre sont dans un piano. Purcell est tombé à l'eau (poussé par le pianiste?), reste pur sucre. Je trouve cette interprétation dégoulinante de sirop d'érable. Et puisqu'on y est, déguiser l'interprète en poète maudit au lendemain d'une cuite, ce qui fait passer ses mimiques éplorées pour l'expression d'un violent mal de tête, c'est d'un mauvais goût appuyé. Voilà, c'est mon opinion, elle n'engage que moi mais je la partage volontiers.

@@rainbowwarrior9018 Vous êtes touché par la sensibilité, je suis agacé par la sensiblerie, on appelle ça la subjectivité et on ne va rien y changer. En ma qualité de non musicologue et de non pratiquant, je ne vais pas me ridiculiser en jugeant les qualités pianistiques de ce jeune « poulain » transformé par ses agents en « rockstar française du piano » (dixit Pari-Match); en revanche, pour en revenir au sel et au sucre des questions de goût, en gastronomie je ne suis pas séduit par les plats trop riches en sauces et surtout trop mis en scène; et il semblerait bien qu’on soit ici devant un pur produit de marketing qui me coupe tout net l’envie d’aller plus loin dans la dégustation. Ce n’est pas tant le parti pris de la lenteur qui me gêne ici, mais le côté surjoué romantique (une pièce écrite au dix-septième siècle) avec des expressions de visage dignes d’une série américaine pour ménagère de plus de cinquante ans. Sans aller chercher bien loin, j’ai trouvé trois candidats dans un style différent, qui conviennent à mon goût (bon ou mauvais?)
