In nurses training in early ‘70’s I had an old army nurse teach me how to make a bed properly with tight corners. Still make them to this day with my own bed.
I was a CNA for many many years and when I was doing my training we had to learn to make our beds this way and to this day this is how my beds are made.
Huh. I was changing the bed linens just this morning and thought to myself "50 years ago when I put the flat sheet on I made such nice hospital corners" but I haven't bothered in forever.
Its the triangle on the bottom corners is the key to tight, nice and cozy bedsheet. Yes, if you are a nurse or been in the military training you should know this. There is nothing like looking at any bed made up nicely, you feel better. Little things like that make a lot of difference in anyones part of a day worth going back to and relax on your nice made up bed, like having a brain/thinking in proper order. Peace to all!
I was in hospital for 3 months as a little girl in the late fifties. I was on complete bed rest. I studied those nurses. I learned how to do those bed corners like a pro!
thank you for this video! I just started working at a hotel and I love the job and would rather find videos on youtube to train then watch managment train only because i take a little bit more time to learn and this video was so helpful.
I HATE ANY KIND OF WORK OR THE MAKING OF A BED BUT I JUST WANT MY SHEET TO STAY ON MY BED. IM SICK OF MY SHEET COMING OFF MY MATTRESS. SO IM GOING TO TRY AND LEARN HOW TO DO THIS FOR THIS REASON ONLY, TO KEEP MY SHEET ON MY BED. OTHER THAN THAT I DONT MAKE MY BED EITHER HA HA.
Es perfecto, mucha elegancia ,pero en teoría. En la práctica,no se hace eso . Dura poco la cama bien tendida. No es llevar la contra. Es tender varias camas por día!!
VERY GOOD. I NORMALLY SKIP MOBILE PHONE VIDEOS AS THEY ARE TOO NARROW BUT I WATCHED THIS OUT OF DESPERATION TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO STOP MY SHEET FROM COMING OFF MY MATTRESS. I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE MY BED LIKE THIS WITH A FLAT SHEET, THANKS, VERY INTERESTING. IVE NEVER SEEN A BED BEING MADE LIKE THIS BEFORE. MY MATTRESS IS SO VERY HEAVY SO I HOPE I WILL BE ABLE TO MANAGE THIS.
Our mom taught us this when we started to make our own bed at around 3rd grade . She was an old Army Nurse and my dad was a military pilot and served 33years. He died last year at 95 years old.
I prefer fitted sheets , but I do remember being taught how to do hospital corners as a child by my cousin who was beaten if she failed to create perfect corners.
Worked in a motel when I was 18. Learned how to do mitred corners there. We used flat sheets for bottom & top. They were a bit longer than regular flat sheets. I wish I knew where to purchase them for a reasonable price. They stay in place better than fitted sheets when tucked this way.
50 years old and learning every day.
Damn that's a beautiful corner.
Thank you!
😂 Broooooohhhhh😊
Love hospital corners on a freshly made bed! My grandma taught me how to do them when I was a little girl. The superior bed tuck for sure!
My mom taught me when I was about 9 years old

Nice. My dad was raised military, that's what we knew these as before hospital corners.
There was no messing with making the bed in our house.
Peace
Depending on whos watching, this either gives you visual satisfaction or triggers night terrors for vets
Won’t work for the military because it’s bass ackwards
Oh my gosh, this is so old school...still do this now.
Bravissima👏👏👏👏👏👏👏, ma nessuno apprezza questo ottimo lavoro

This is THE way to do them, not the easy way!
Housekeeping training for free 😉👌

Only wish they teach this to nurses!!!
thank you for this video! I just started working at a hotel and I love the job and would rather find videos on youtube to train then watch managment train only because i take a little bit more time to learn and this video was so helpful.
My mom worked at a luxury hotel and that's how she taught me to make a bed🙏
Very smooth & professional looking
I don't even make my bed. I'm reacting with anxiety to this video.

That's how my mom taught me to make a bed.

Taking me back to nursing school 33 years ago
Es perfecto, mucha elegancia ,pero en teoría.
En la práctica,no se hace eso .
Dura poco la cama bien tendida.
No es llevar la contra.
Es tender varias camas por día!!
Beautiful hack 10%♥️♥️
reminds me of basic training 50 years ago, except our corners were at a 45 degree angle.
😍😍😍😍😍
Doesn't bring back great memories
Student nurses aren't taught this now, lol
Also don’t screw it up or your mattress will be tossed down the fire escape stairs!!
I love this trick so pro the issue is would i remember it ? 🤷♂️🤦♂️
My grandma taught me to do this, but no I don't do that now.
I Love the Feeling i'm in a Hospital this is why i making my bed like this.
PERFEC 👍🇨🇱
“I was today years old when I learned this”
Lit au carré
Camareira.... profissão respeitável
Instructions unclear. My house is on fire now
Way to go! Perfect corner!❤❤
K bien lo hace gracias por ensenarme
This part of bed making really make me stress and try 1000 times to do it correctly.
After 55 years now i know how to do it.

These are square corners, not hospital corners.
Hospital corners are angled like pockets, not a straight on the corner like this.
Learned this when I was 10 and served me well in the military yrs
Love these. Learned how when I was little. Now can't do them as my hands are so arthritic.
Angol sarok-ez a neve. 100 éve használjuk.
The second time something that I saw online is working for me. First one was how to fold carry bags 😂😂
Nice 🙂
Nowadays they have sheets fitted.Things ain't what they used to be
Great demo!! Thank you!!
Wonderful hack it works nicely
❤❤❤
Mitered corners would be the proper name
Lol.. I don’t even like my sheets tucked at all. Hurts my feet
Dam I been making my bed wrong for so long thanks 4 vidio tutorial on how to fold my sheets
Gracias 🥰
I thought she was tucking someones pants in first, 😂😂
I grew up making beds like this and had to do it until it was right
As someone who was never taught how to make a bed “properly” what’s the point of this?
My mother taught me how to do this years ago & always make beds this way
My Mom taught me that as a young child she was Not A Nurse
Our mom taught us this when we started to make our own bed at around 3rd grade . She was an old Army Nurse and my dad was a military pilot and served 33years. He died last year at 95 years old.
Wow simply the best
Idk why I never ever knew this. Now I never want to use a fitted sheet ever again
I love it, I do it and at night I kick the sheets for not letting my toes wiggle 😂😅🤣🤣🤣
This helped! Thank you!
I’m your fan.
This is Korea in Seoul. 😊
Absurdo cuando las sábanas se ajustan. Ya vienen así de fábrica.
Been doing this since 5th grade boarding school.1982
This is how we were trained as UK student nurses, tidy envelope corners.
I should have watched this before my practicals😂 i totally got it wrong but now i know!
Am still not getting it right and today is my last day to get it right or I might lose my work
Schonmal was von Spannbettlagen gehört
Just what I was looking for. The only way sheets don't fall from the bed when you sleep plus it looks so professional and neat.
Why 😂 my bed is not a hospital bed
Don’t have time for this better things to do 😂
Thank you so much this video was so helpful 🥰
I prefer fitted sheets , but I do remember being taught how to do hospital corners as a child by my cousin who was beaten if she failed to create perfect corners.
This is called an envelop corner
easy way to create hospital corners!!! It is the only way to create them
Worked in a motel when I was 18. Learned how to do mitred corners there. We used flat sheets for bottom & top. They were a bit longer than regular flat sheets. I wish I knew where to purchase them for a reasonable price. They stay in place better than fitted sheets when tucked this way.
