Light as a player & Fox as a character in Ultimate, is the best combination of hype. How can you not want Light & Fox to to win?
Both Light fox and void sheik, difficult and unforgivable characters, winning where no one else can.

@@Senayoshy yea like Captain Mega said it's kind of like that, brands like nissin or maruchan include the word "ramen" on their packets though a lot of people refer to other noodle packs as ramen even if it doesn't have it on the pack.

the best part of larry's analysis is that he's willing to say that he likes a different option from the one the players on screen made. a lot of commentary ends up lacking because people are afraid to step on toes but he can do it in a way that communicates its all about the game.

I was at smash con fall fest watching top 8, esam sits behind me and after mvd wins a set I move a seat so mvd can sit in front of esam. that event was wild I got a lot of players to autograph a jacket i got at a smash event. you can even see me in the camera popping off in the audience at some points. smash con was great man EDIT: 17:29 yep you can see me in the blue goml jacket and black cap popping the fuck off cuz it was so hype

Fully charged Oil Panic, with 3x lasers, would be a little less than 9% if all 3 lasers were fresh. It's still frame 2, but doesn't do shit.

I actually think the way he plays g&w is really cool but you’re telling me that up smash that light parried was completely unpunishable (5:38)? Common man lmao this character needs a serious downgrade
Sonic has the same thing with spindash it’s annoying but once you know it works like that it’s better to just reset neutral

After seeing Light beat Maister twice, I am def coming around to Maister’s view that the matchup is only -1 for Fox instead of Light’s view that it’s -2
Between Sora and Fox winning majors recently, fun to see how characters downplayed by the community are proving said community wrong
Players who main technically hard to use characters tend to over exaggerate the difficulty of certain matchups. It's hard to tell whether it's the matchup itself or just you
eh, I don't really see Light winning as proof it's not that bad. The sheer number of neutral wins and reads that Light had to make in order just to break even with G&W is pretty suggestive of just how awful the matchup is. Light just played miles better than maister this set

@@RamikinHorde yeah, people always confuse TOP PLAYERS playing with the actual legit MU on an avg level. Disparities either don't matter nearly as much at top level, or they matter way more.

It's interesting to see that Ultimate Fox plays very similar to Smash 4 Fox, using lots of jumps and aerials instead of playing on the ground like most other characters. In Smash 4 it was out of necessity because approaching from the ground while running required a full stop to input any attack other than a dash attack. You can even see him pulling a few Smash 4 foxtrots here and there
You could also up smash out of a dash, and you could f smash from a fox trot.
@@bmizz138 I keep forgetting the dash into up-smash was a basic tool in Smash 4. You can see Light using it right here as a finisher
I feel like Fox has always been played very similarly since Melee minus obvious Shine shenanigans. Lots of aerials, lots of juggles, not a whole lot of ground based footsies
He’s pretty grounded to take advantage of how fast he is but then yeah he goes in the air once he picks his spot
I’m assuming Larry records these while the tournament is happening and posts it later rather than recording after the tournament. Because it wouldn’t make any sense to make sense of him to predict whose going to win if we already know who wins.

is shining G&W up air and fair bad? Why is Light never doing it? Like when he air dodged at 5:20, shine allows him to live that every time
shining fair is inconsistent, shining upair locks u in place so gnw can keep advantage state-ing you
