That's good, as it is supposed to be. My cat is free to do what he wants, i let him out whenever he wants and he roams the area freely anytime. Couldn't for my life keep a cat inside 24/7 as alot of their natural instincts and needs are not met when doing so.
I agree. Lexi had free reign up until 3 years ago, but we had cayotes start showing up, and she's 16. She needs supervision these days. Thanks for watching!
@@HappyOldDogAndCatFarm 16 :O That reminds me of my previous cat that got really sick at 17 and I had to make the worst decision of my life to end his suffering :( He was by my side every night but he stopped cleaning himself and was really sick. Hope yours live longer, I've know cats living beyond 20.
Indoor cats, on average, live three times longer than outdoor cats. Indoor cats can also still go outside; there's nothing wrong with catios and supervised adventures like in this video. You're right that cats need proper stimulation and enrichment, and even that most indoor cats probably don't get it, but when they're are allowed to breed, decimate local native fauna for sport, and get killed by raptors, coyotes, and vehicles on the road it becomes a major nuisance problem. It's not fair to the cats, or to the people who have to see it or clean up after it.
