Both England and Netherlands performed amazingly this tournament. The real shocker was Belgium coming out of nowhere.

This competition was not as important as the Euros or World Cup. Not playing in the Olympics will allow the England girls a good rest, which will benefit them in the long road. We are still a formidable team, capable of beating any team in the world.

@@franciscoarzaga4384 plenty of other turnaments to enter. The England u 19 and u17 are all doing well in their respective Euros. They have both qualified for the next rounds in March and April. And if they win those, they go through to Sweden and Lithuania in May and July. BTW , in the last year, they have a combined record of 18-5-4 and goals of 90-23. The future is so bright , i've got to wear shades :) And the u 23 are 6-7-0 and 19-7.

No. That’s not the bright side. She is not thinking in terms of countries but in terms of teams. Her own team is the English squad. 6-0 against Scotland is very good but it was not enough. The match against belgium really killed her team. I mean almost 80 percent ball posession . . .

It was a negative result for Scotland. I wanted Scotland to get a positive result, as I am Scottish.
By the way, I think that the Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh, USA, and Canadians should keep their own domestic teams, and leagues, and in the case of Ireland and Britain the European football, but should also have extra cross border trophies between club sides from Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Canada, and the USA.

There was no fix, the Belgian keeper was their best player all night. Lionesses need to regroup and come back stronger, it's a great setup.

They lost it in the first half on Friday, with two breakaway goals. In the second half against the Netherlands they blew them away, and looked like the much better team.
Sirina you did all you could dont feel bad about what happened it wasn't in your hands wether you go through to Olympics next year or not , it's just a pitty Netherlands found that extra goal, Sirina I do have some good news , if Belgium are out on goal difference, you know what that means Sirina England go through to Olympics next year,.
England lost its qualification for the next round mainly in Belgium, maybe in Holland.
Don’t forget the Dutch had a stinker against Belgium away thanks to the Dutch second goalkeeper with 2 blunders. Otherwise it wouldn’t be even close.

Obvious to say but at half time they should have been looking at 7 nil at least, as Belgium would have known at half time they were out of it so did n't have to try.

If idiots say this was fixed, then so was Belgium game. England scored 9 in last 2 games - 5 from midfield.
From the looks of it there wasn't a grand conspiracy, but it is hard to deny that England Scotland pursuing an Olympic ticket for team GB in the same group was a conflict of interest. Belgium had no interest in the Netherlands winning. There will be no Belgian on the Dutch team if they make it to the Olympics. It's not Scotland's fault that they got into this position; the UEFA should have prevented this group pairing long before.
The only idiots here are the ones who don’t understand this was fixed. England progresses and then becomes Team GB, theoretically with Scottish players in the team ? 🤭🤣

what an utterly garbage system. They ranked all the teams and put them in divisions and groups of equal levels. Some teams did well, some didnt. But there were very few ' thrashings' . Even the lowest teams got to play against teams of equal skill. Latvia lost 20-0 to England. Now in Div C , they are in the promotion play offs. of the 150 games played across the whole Tournament , only 11 games were decided by more than 4 goals. After this first season , the promotions and relegations should make next season more equal. I think its a very good system. And about time we had it.
I think it's quite silly to keep Dismissing the olympics as if it is not Very important .It feel like the rest of the world consider the Olympics on par a highly prestigious tournament as the World Cup. but for some reason, Europe Keeps throwing around the rhetoric that the euros much higher than olympics. The Olympic will not allow the four countries of the UK to enter separately. So there is ' disagreements ' between those 4 countries. So team gb has not entered many olympics and treat it as it used to be amateur.

What a rubbish! England was given away an easy win in Scotland and the players missed a lot of chances to it. Holland had to fight all match against a tough defending Belgium (getting several yellow cards) that hardly came on the Dutch half all match and kept wasting time wherever it could. At the end Holland played with six attackers and no defense (but Van Domselaar made some fine saves against Wullaart, the only attacker). Belgium cracked under the massive pressure. But see the match or the highlights for yourself before you post your nonsense next time!
