I love SSU. They know that they are a small band but they still put up a fight at every band battle they go to💪🏼

scsu took that L. They band shrunk. instrumentation is kinda shady. Yall to big to have identity crisis issues. finally yall let a small no name band come in and actually give yall a run smh...
You lost all credibility with that statement. SCSU is not big and both are damn near the same size. SCSU only has a larger woodwind section and drumline. Brass is almost the same. SCSU is consistant with who they are. SSU is the one going thru the identity crisis. They are a mix of Edward Waters in the stands but not as good and old school Marching 101 on the field. But thats expected since the director is a SCSU grad.
Yea we have gotten smaller and everyone go through seasons when there not as big as the year before but give us a run nahh. How are they going to play back songs that sound muddy

If thats the case most HBCU bands would have 500-600 piece bands if you're going to use the 10% method. 2. What in the world does being a public institution has to do with identity crisis issues? By the way, he is no longer at SCSU and they look nothing like MOB now. Ask SSU why are they playing Edward Waters arrangements and look similar to old school SCSU on the field? Thats because of Graham, their director, who was previously director at EW and is a SCSU and 101 alum. So whats your point? Moses Jones I went to battle for the crown which was the first performance and they did the same show at this game they may have added a song or two to the end but come on that's boring 💯
they actually have two different shows...and maybe more...u wouldnt know cuz u prolly don't go to their games
Savannah just needs a better song selection and they will be amazing. They need to be satisfied with the numbers they have and just play big! They will be amazing next year with better songs choices. Don't let size limit what you play. Get arrangement with trombones having melody and with trumpets having melody. Just give it time they'll be amazing by fall 2017.

I didn't like that those people were booing when SCSU played the song at the end...I forgot the name of it...but it was made by the ONE and ONLY Mr. Ronald J. Sarjeant....it is STRAIGHT DISRESPECT that people could BOO while they were playing this...and if you watched the video you could hear those people booing when SSU was playing...So you know they were with SCSU...but didn't like that they played Mr. Ronald J. Sarjeant's song...

Both have the same issues. Both had more than enough selections where they sound like trash. Neither band needs to get on here bragging or claiming SSU held their own because both are about the same size.
