After about a year of filming, editing and delays, 'Waddling Respect' is finally here.
For what is my final 'Thomas the Tank Engine' production, I feel it's the best one I've both written and filmed, but I'll let you guys decide on that :)
Anyways nobody reads descriptions anymore, so enjoy the episode! ;D - Фільми й анімація
Superb once again! Your filming technique and ability to write a fantastic, original story has yet again proven why you are one of the best.
I'm very humble you kept me in mind for the narration and incredibly grateful I got to be part of your final array of videos.
Hope this summer is good to you and best of luck for the future.
(I'm still counting on your feedback on whatever I do).
All the best mate.
I can’t believe you were a part of this
Dcg12b you’re a legend of narrations ❤
What a fascinating story to be placed between the events of "Duck Takes Charge" and "Pop Goes the Diesel!" A fine piece of work by you!
You are probably my biggest idol when I first saw videos, you really make the world of Thomas The Tank Engine come to life and you're one of the best users ever! Fab work mate and may your future be bright and well. :)
Ahaha thanks mate, means a lot :D
@Sammy’s silly and awesome adventures Thank you! :)
What a great episode!! Wonderful Work!!!
I've rewatched this many times, and I would like to say this is prolly the best TTTE story you've ever done - the style of the RWS clearly shows, and the narrator really makes me feel like I'm right there on Sodor. I remember first watching your videos back in 2011/2012 and I always wanted to create content because you inspired me, but never got the chance until recently. You'll forever inspire others, just like you inspired me.
Ahh cheers mate that means a lot :) Happy to be an inspiration!
@@TheBlueE2 Hi there, TheBlueE2.
@@ryanlister1244 hello!
@@TheBlueE2 How are you doing today, TheBlueE2.
@@ryanlister1244 Not too bad man yourself?
The final countdown at 6:20. Of course we all know what happens next for Duck when a certain devious diesel comes along.
The wait was worth it, I enjoyed this very much, plus I liked the crash scene.
Brilliant camera work, great facial expressions and a well thought story! Great job! Sad to see that this is your last Thomas video.
Well that was certainly an episode to go out on.
A nice little continuation of a chapter to Thomas not many of us realized we wanted until it was made.
Loved the story, interactions and the fact the crash was based on a real event.
Not to mention Duck starting to talk great western starting to irritate the other engines was a lovely little touch towards the end.
Fantastic story, what a way to go out.
Thanks Joey :) Had based that last bit on a few things, foreshadowing to the Diesel trilogy and how people in general tend to show more of their true personality upon properly settling into a new job/class/relationship etc Hope all's well with u btw :)
May I just say that over the years you have progressed so much and so far. Well done to you indeed, you are a true credit to the community in the production of your content. An extremely anticipated and enjoyable video, with clear quality and care put into it. A really enterprising piece of Thomas content, something you should feel very proud of. Well done to you, and I know I'm not alone when I say that videos such as this are much desired by many. :)
Well, I'm two months late. But another great episode here. I truly enjoyed the writing and how it picks up from, "Duck Takes Charge". The realism behind the script was great as well. I don't think anyone has ever thought of the empty vans in the middle concept. Very well thought out and detailed. And of course the camerawork and angles were splendid as well. The music and sound was on point too! Superb work once again, mate!
Gordon sticking up for Duck was a bit questionable for the first few seconds, but I suppose it confirms Edward's thoughts on the Greasy Gresley! xD Neato working no-empty-vans-in-the-middle into this, taught me another railway practice! I do hope the TV Series crew incorporate stuff like that into its episodes, because this production shows that it can be done in a subtle, relevant and self-explanatory way. If this truly will be your last TTTE production, good God did you go out on a bang!
Seeing Duck almost getting blamed for the crash was the breaking point for Gordon, and that's how I've always seen him: his caring side emerges when it's needed most :) The inspiration image came with a bio about the error of putting empties in the middle of trains, as they literally can throw themselves and others off the rails!
Cheers btw man :)
WELL... I'm ashamed to admit that it's taken me up until now just to see this, and I must say this has to be by far your best work yet. I do hope you'll be continuing the series some day in the future, as I believe the Thomas fandom really need people like you to be a shining example to us all. But for now, enjoy your break, you deserve it.
I love this. I remember watching your videos when I was younger, loving them so much! I'm incredibly sad to see you stop making Thomas videos, you brought the world of Sodor to life so well! Will probably be watching this on repeat at some point, like I did with your older videos!
Same here mate! Tbh with all the response I'm gutted to think I can't slowly whack out another story! I would defo say that if that wasn't the case I'd defo tackle something like a branch line story to get out of the big yards. Thanks btw :)
TheBlueE2 Thank you for making this! :P
I just want to say, what a brilliant end to a brilliant series this is! The story was fantastic, and the characters were just as they should be! I particularly like how you ended the episode with a reference to the beginning of 'Pop Goes The Diesel'. Also, I couldn't help but chuckle when Gordon told Duck he didn't need to shunt the vans for the Kipper - I guessed that Gordon was going to do some 'quiet work', as he would put it! In all, I only hope that this isn't really your last Thomas story, or at least your last Railway-based story (always plenty of room for Railway-based series in my heart!)!
Thanks man, glad people are noticing what the epilogue scene was for :D
Heha I hadn't thought of that mindset, it had been more of Gordon's way of properly apologizing without having to actually say it :)
I loved this so much. I constantly find myself coming back to watch this its just such a well put together story i really cant explain
Also the crash was AWESOME!
Fantastic work as usual mate! Hope to see more from you soon! :)
Cheers mate! I'll have a "bonus features" video for this up soon :) It's the last from me i'm afraid though,
I think it was really well done, and dcg12b never ceases to disappoint as a narrator ;)
And an instrumental of "Be who you are and go far"... That I think is a good ending track for your last video. Such a shame these last few videos of yours were so good, yet now they'll be over.
Thanks man :)
I'm regretful to say that yeah its just that I don't have much time anymore to make content. On the plus side at least I'd be going out on a high note like the likes of CaptainPunjab :)
Loved it can't wait to see whether there will be another episode and loved the crash scene and the final countdown music
Thanks mate:) Fraid to say this will be most likely be my last episode though. Not so much a choice but more of not having the time. This year for eg I'll be starting a job abroad for a while in a few weeks
TheBlueE2 what w ont you be able to make short vids on your holidays ans spear time tho
Not really I'm afraid :/
See 'Old Grump' and this were possible because for the last 2 years once college ended for the summer, I had only a part time job, my GF had a full time one and most of my friends went on holidays. That insane amount of spare time's what got me motivated and capable of making these :) This time it's different though, since I got a job abroad that I'll be heading off to pretty soon. And in the mean time I used my spare time (at the time haha) to get this put together ;D
@@TheBlueE2 Hi TheBlueE2, there is something I was wondering in the events of "Waddling Respect".
@@ryanlister1244 Yeah fire away what are you wondering?
Ooooh! Lovely transition episode between Duck Takes Charge and Pop Goes the Diesel!
This was fantastic! So much for Duck being fan service!
Amazing! This is one of your best one. Really love how you expanded the story of Duck takes charge. It's almost as if you found a lost media of T&F. Keep it up! :)
Ahahaha thanks man, thats what I had been aiming for :) filling in a gap that the Rev chose not to focus on (Considering once Duck arrived, we too left with Percy to focus on him on the branch)
Heh, the 'final countdown' leading up to the crash was perfect.
This is really nice! Great visuals, still really like the panning shots like in the yard when Duck's shunting for Gordon, the music is great, and the storytelling... well, I'm glad I got to watch this before going to bed ;)
Neat little tie-in with the events leading up to the Duck/Diesel trilogy too, very nice.
Thanks mate:D
I loved this story! No one has ever done a story, one that shows Duck's first days on Sodor. Can't wait for the next story!
Really well written and that camera work was absolutely superb. It adds a lot more depth to Duck's work about the yard. By the time of Diesels arrival; we already knew Duck had improved things but it was great to get more insight into how he potentially did that. Though how exactly did the top brass feel about Duck in the aftermath of being barred from the shed? It made sense that there would still be some tension after that as they wouldn't all warm to Duck right away. Honestly you'd nearly think this was a lost story from the original books and it's a major plus when everyone feels in character.I love the wee detail of what led to Gordon's accident. I see too you've got the Southern Railway engine from the Great British Locomotive collection. I have that one myself:)
The top brass_ aha James ;D I left James in the dark a little bit, since I was eager not to reuse engines from the last episode too much but none of the big engines could really be sidelined in a story like this :P That and given the scene with Gordon & Henry, I figured Henry'd be the most forgiving and easy going to basically boost Gordon's dislike. If anything I'd imagine James would've had a mindset like, "Hmph, just get my trucks ready and stay out of my way."
Thanks anyways mate :) Heha, its the only engine from the collection I have, wouldn't have the budget to have had bought every copy ;D
Lol that's actually pretty clever. I never thought of it that way! I actually meant top brass in the context of those three engines thinking they are authority. Though now that I think about it; that description fit's James both physically and mentally :D Henry would definitely be the most easy going; he seemed to mellow out as the series progressed. He's less likely to get in trouble for arrogance than the others.
I really enjoy the storyline of this video. Great work!
So good. SO GOOD! What a creative, innovative, nostalgic episode - watching this was a treat! I'm hoping this isn't really your final TTTE video. This video has set a new standard for you, and I WANT MORE!
Thank you so much for the shout out! And seriously my friend, I love this so much. I could watch it on repeat for days!
No prob man, don't think I need to say why I credited you ;D
Won't be the final *video* but most likely is the final episode I'll ever make. Not a choice but more-so reality just taking over, college, future work and potential engagement in the next few months...!
Thanks again:D
Good job. A hybrid of railway series and tv series storytelling. Nice final countdown music too
Thanks, thats what I was aiming for :)
Well this was a very enjoyable little story. It was a charming little extension to 'Duck Takes Charge'. It's also a pity that you're done with writing any new material. Although I honestly wasn't as big of a fan of your work as others, I was very impressed by what I did see.
6:58 Wilhelm scream. classic.
this was great! the visual, sound effects, everything! my only nitpick I have is some music choices, but other than that, this was a real treat!
Cheers :D
Might I ask which music pieces did you think were unfitting? I had been abit apprehensive about some myself and just wondering what your thoughts are :)
the final countdown, and some of the ditties used were just really odd to me
When eye of the tiger started I got flash backs from 2010. This was beautiful good way to finish your original stories.
Sorry I just realised it was the final countdown
Ahhh you're thinking of when I used that song in an older ep of mine right? Thanks btw :)
Ah wonderful. Your comments are back once again. Glad to see most of them are still intact. Won't lie I have been watching this one a few times since I first saw it :)
Yeah, of all my vids I'm relieved that the ones on this one are intact :D Could never understand UA-cam's silly rules for it
Heck given I resisted the urge not to title this 'Duck it Up', it was already kid friendly from that decision 😄
@@TheBlueE2 Ha Ha yeah I remember that or was that "Ducking it up"?. Not sure if you said that to me in an earlier comment but I mind you said something like wanting to keep the title clean :D
Great work. I loved the skit at the end in particular. Very funny. And I agree with Duck about Great Western coach liveries.
Cheers! Have to give Dcg12b credit for that part; I gave him a few 'opening' lines for that part and he improvised the rest!
Really nice work! Love the narration and slight adjustments to the retelling.
you could say that duck pecked his way through the ranks
Ha! I like that! ;D
This truly was an amazing episode. :)
Thanks! :)
You're most welcome.
I love the bachmann duck model
that was amazing mate
I loved this!!! I'm so excited for the next one!!!
I agreed with you that this is the best episode you've made. :) the crash scene was nice,
the old grump scene was funny and the haha with James was funny aswell. the music was awesome (I like what you did with the final countdown :D). But I was a little bit consious about ''For what is my final 'Thomas the Tank Engine' production,'' in the discription. Is this realy your last thomas episode you're gonna make? hopefully it's not.
cheers, FALLUX
Thanks:)
It most likely will be I'd say D: I'll be working abroad soon, then there's college again in September onwards, and I might be moving house next summer also, (that last one'll change my model train collection's future)
great to see vids from you again, bud. Great video =)
I still love this story
I think it’s a wonderful story, I suppose it takes place after Duck takes charge and before Pop goes the diesel, but if it’s how Duck does it on the Great Western Railway, then it might be good for him on Sodor too
Nice work. Enjoyed this!
Thanks man, cheers for the music usage btw ;D
Excellent work man
fantastic work.
great episode, and I like the small epilogue at the end to Diesel's debut !
Be seeing you later (who says goodbye anyway ? Maybe you can do a live chat or something)
I had actually considered doing a live chat, due to it being a common thing with other users lately :)
But it would be a freaking disaster :L I don't have a place anywhere that I could do it without being interrupted by either friends or family going, "WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO DANIEL, HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I NEED HELP WITH THIS OUTSIDE IT'LL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE"
Hell I'm honestly amazed I was able to film without interruptions, though I tend to time doing that quite well and discreetly ;D
Fantastic story!
Great video!
6:14 I like how the music sounded like the final countdown
This was an awesome vid! I only wish you could make more!
I loved this extension to Duck Takes Charge :)
Amazing video! Loved it!
Final.... as in.... no more? Oh dear.... I am so sorry to see you go into retirement. But I shall always remain a watcher. Your videos are great stuff! I only hope I can do the same as you did with stories in my shakey, slow start series.
It Is The Final Countdown Music I Already Know Who It Is That Made This.
Well done!
Diesel 10:the far controller Cares! You steaming scrap iron!
Nice story!
Anyone else hear the Whilham Scream at 7:00?
No
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW LOVE IT
That TTTE version of Final Countdown. I nearly lost it there XD
Superb!
Nice one lad.
I love it but I just wan to ask how to you make your episodes like plane them out and film to I just want to know your so awesome at making thomas episodes great work
Thanks man :) Well there's a lot involved, but I'll tell u how I tend to do it :)
Nail your story down first. Think of what characters you have and can use (and do the models work smoothly in my case). You don't necessarily need to have a script typed up straight away, but you'd need to have a story you're happy with and are willing to devote a lot of time to (a year in this ep's case!)
Filming wise, I did a new trick with this ep, which was using as much of each set as possible. Take the sheds for eg, I put that set together, filmed all the shots I needed on it, and then took it down for another setup! ;D
Another thing is confidence and knowing what you're capable of doing. Never any need to stress yourself out if you can't film a shot the way you'd imagined, just try a different way instead :) Same if a music track doesn't suit, look for another and see if that works better :)
....then there's editing, my least favourite part, where face editing, eye movement and putting the episode together took *forever* to do xD
In a way, a lot of it is really down to your gut feeling and imagination, be it in all aspects of making an ep :) if you're ever stuck ask me again :)
I always love Bachman
Wow this production went out on a high note
Thanks :)
Thank you your very creative just wondering are you still going to make Thomas episodes
'Fraid not man, this is the last one from me. I honestly would like to do more but i don't have the time anymore :/ Last summer I spent *filming* this and this summer I was working abroad, so its basically the end of an era for me
Gordon treated duck very "crummy"
In a strange sort of way it's something I liked writing :) I miss the old days of Thomas where characters could be outright pricks to each other before being brought back down to earth. Nowadays it's just a softie PC tease every now and then :/
TheBlueE2 I couldn't agree more
I love your channel Name!! 😃😍❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖💗
Gorgor the Fat Oath & Engines .
h o r n b y e d w a r d
POV you are tank engine. Being shouted by a big blue Karen 😂😂😂
6:34 james laugh
Great Story, hey what music did you used at 10:28
It's a music piece from either Mike or Junior's official youtube channel. Was hesistant to use it but I couldn't find a better suiting piece for the scene (that and I doubt they care that a random irish 20 year old used a 15 year old piece of kids show music in a video haha)
TheBlueE2 About the video, I decided to delete it. Though I can't erase the damage of my stupid, idiotic decision making, I hope there is no bad blood between us. I will assure you, I will not plagiarise yours and other people's work ever again. I again apologise for all this.
6:18 THE FINAL COUNTDOWN (sorry I had to ) XD
what's the name of the app you use on your laptop for videos like this?
Corel VidStudio Pro X3 :)
I think there's a version X9 out now, which would probably be better to get. It's not an app also, it's a program you have to install onto your laptop. Only catch is, it's freaking expensive, (100 euros in this case)
Harvey Normans or PC World are the only places I've ever seen them in also!
night as well go out with a bang
how do you position the trucks exactly?
if anybody knows can you send me a link to either a website or a picture?
thanks
What exactly do you mean?
Do you mean how the position of Gordon's trucks stayed the same?
If so: I took a reference picture of the train so that I wouldn't position them incorrectly when filming each shot
Do you mean the way the trucks derailed?
If so: Since the vans were the reason for the crash, those and everything behind them were to derail. Between each shot of the crash I placed them and the truck&tanker behind them off the rails and dragged them along the track, and then basically flung them over with a piece of fishing wire :P
Took ages to do and was the most stressful part to do, which was why it was the last thing filmed :p
Where'd you get the music at 6:07? Would like to give it a listen
SkarloeyRheneas
I suppose that's all you have to say after watching this... :L
TheBlueE2 ??
No idea who Connor is
All i'm saying is that 'SkarloeyRheneas' is where (or well, who) I got the music from and it kinda sucks to see thats all you said in a comment here
***** I'm not very original with compliments, and I don't comment on every vudeo I watch. Sorry if that offends you for some reason, but it was a lovely story, and it's sad to hear you're giving up.
For the final count down part did you make it
Nope, that had been made by an old user called SkarloeyRheneas
Can I get a link to the version of final countdown you made?
I didn't make it, I'm afraid the person who made it deleted it
I also then don't have it saved on my drive or laptop anymore sorry :/
No offense, but part of me feels this is character regression for Gordon. He’s ordering Duck about again even though The Fat Controller already made it clear that only he gives the orders in Duck Takes Charge. Is this implying Gordon is so angry at Duck for making him look bad, he wasn’t listening? If so, then that feels like character regression for Gordon as he already learned the consequences of disobeying The Fat Controller’s orders back in Off The Rails. Same goes for Gordon refusing to shunt and refusing to take goods trains. But otherwise, decent story.
None taken lad, interesting thoughts on it!
The mindset was essentially, Gordon was fuming at a newcomer, a tank engine at that, barged in and essentially demanded the system be rejigged in his eyes. As for the orders bit, well I saw it that Gordon did secretly have an issue with it, "The Fat Controller isn't here everyday to do that for him!"
In the end I'd more-so see it as Gordon not so much rebelling the system, but needing a little bit of time to adjust to it
@@TheBlueE2 I see. Thank you for your explanation
I just feel Gordon should have explained all that at the end. Just my opinion, of course
How many caught this goof? At 0:41-0:45 Gordon's trailing wheels are derailed.
I had never copped it until I saw it in the final edit xD I had heard a strange rattle when filming that part but I must've been too tired/lazy to have checked what it was haha
Can you upload (HORNBY) the trouble with mud: remake?
Huh?
I've never remade that episode man, sorry :p Never will also, this video was my last ever Thomas production
Do you have a second channel
Kindof. I have a separate non-Thomas channel where me and some of my IRL friends have made some videos, where I've used the same camera and editing software as my Thomas vids
But I prefer to keep them separate since i don't want my IRL friends to know about my Thomas account in any way
Aw wait so after you reach video count 100? You will pretty much stop doing UA-cam for pretty much ever D:
I'll still be around seeing what everyone else is up to, but yeah video wise I'm cutting off at 100 :) It's a nice number to end on, and with how I struggled to find time to edit this together, I knew it's an end of an era in my life
