Thank you! My almost 4-year-old is starting to want longer books, but she still wants pictures-preferably lots of color pictures, and they aren’t the easiest to find. She has loved the Branches books from Scholastic (like Boris). My older son didn’t seem as reliant on pictures when we got into chapter books, so I can’t necessarily just go back to the ones we read to him.
I totally agree. Also some are too mature for 4yrs old and therefore they don't relate as well. We loved "Henry and Mudge" series, "Mr. Putter and Tabby"series and we absolutely loved "mercy watson" books. Just funny simple stories. Always looking new interesting books and appreciate videos just like this one. Thank you!
This is great!!! My fine year old is on the same level and I have been looking everywhere for a video/list like this. Thank you so much for making it. I hope you continue to make videos of what your kids are reading. My daughter is about the same age as yours also so I love seeing what other accelerated kids are doing.
I love this! My five year old has just started the video game series from branches. My girl loved the girlier titles. My Henry loves the Henry Hecklebeck series as well.
I hadn’t heard of Henrey Hecklebeck I will request it from the library! And the video game series is my sons favorite series. I am going to be getting him the full set for his birthday. My son is now into things that maybe could be counted as more “girly” but he doesn’t love realistic fiction which I think is more common in books targeted at girls.

On the julius zebra book does it have roman numerals because one of my friends had the red book of julius zebra and it has roman numerals so let me know if u have an answer

You mentioned that you are looking for some diverse early chapter books, have you seen the Mia Mayhem series? Its about a little girl who is a superhero, her and her family are black. There is also the Zoey and Sassafras series, about a little girl who likes science and she helps various mythical creatures.

Olive and Beatrix is very appealing, but it appears they only made two books. They're now going out of print. Bummer!
