So nice to own a car as fast as a Ferrari Daytona.
Yes, and also one that can be used daily and all year round. And one which doesn't spend a lot of time getting serviced, fixed and repaired. You know, they used to say:"Buy a Ferrari for the engine, the rest of the car comes free of charge." Meaning that as lovely as the engine is the rest of the car is embarrassingly cheap or poorly assembled.
Btw, look up the engine brand reliability rankings... Honda almost always comes out on top. Very reliable engines. Properly engineered. Racing proved - name any other engine manufacturer which wins in Formula 1, Indycar, WEC sportscars, IMSA, touring cars series in virtually all countries, Super GT, Moto GP, Superbike, Motocross, Power boat racing.

Is this type R stock? Shit if it is that’s sick from a 2 litre engine 🔥 I also noticed that the low fuel probably helped a lot in your top speed too
Der Type R wurde gut eingefahren.
Hmm a few simple modifications, tune, tires, lighter wheels, probably could hit 180mph. The Type R LE top speed is right up there I believe.

wow, how is the car at that insane speed? do you feel confident and planted?
It's a great driving car, even at higher speeds! The rebound in the shock absorbers is a little bit slow. If you drive over bumps you can feel the wheel lifting off the road.
@@TopSpeedCars i ordered one - UK specs GT line. i feel this is a "complete" car. i hope i enjoy it. as good as the m3 but more practical and easier to maintain?

It would be cheaper than an m3 to maintain but it would not be as quick. But a civic is a lot of fun to drive!
@@TopSpeedCars I only drive my m3 once a week. Too expensive to run and maintain. And not a good daily driver.
It’s maximum speed it’s actually 283 kmh for the 2017 to 2020 and for the limited edition one is 290 kmh. It’s not 169 mph. Myth busted

Probably yes, but to be sure it's advised to contact your Honda dealer. 😉

i want to move to Germany. US freeways sucks
Not all of Autobahn has no speed limits. Also, during working days and especially afternoons when people drive home for work - expect heavy traffic which will make any speed attempt impossible. Too many cars on the road.
Best highways I've ever driven on are in France. Sure, you have to pay expensive toll boot fees but the highways are as smooth as a pool table and built to the highest standard. They're also maintained in tip top conditions.
Why sport mode tho? Put it on R.
Make sure to watch 'till the end to see R mode!
R mode is not suitable for topspeeds,
To bumpy and if the roads get uneven you could lose stability

There are vehicles with V8 engines that can't reach that speed. 170 mph in a 4 cylinder car is very impressive.
