To anyone reading this - When Abdullah gives you homework, do that homework! One of the errors in my path to profitability that stands out was not doing the homework. Wow! Totally agree with this one. When I was at the start of my funded journey was focusing only on daily journaling and consostent payout. But overtime started to compare my payouts with others who are getting bigger payouts. In the end I was focusing on the P and L rather than the consistent growth and forcing my 50k account to get bigger returns.

It’s been a year since getting into prop trading and it’s important I focus not just on growth in trading but also in my life P&L. Keeping the ABCD journal, get back into screen recording and updating my trade journal so that I can measure myself against process oriented things. Now to execute what I got out of the video!

Wow this was great. I learned so much from this video where you and Dr. Steenbarger mentioned.
One was to how to avoid bad actions and consequences from taking bad trades from fear of missing out
Two was learning about the learning P and L which is ironic since this was what I was trying to show to others while I'm having this journey trading on my own. My learning P and L is great, my losses help me and my wins perfect me haha
Then three is learning how to use hate to push you to do better because when you hate the bad habits in trading you'll do whatever you can to stop them and avoid them so you can properly have the right habits. Other things like reframing and being compassionate to yourself when there is negative self talk was good to learn about too. I know this trade psychology video will help me so much so thanks for sharing. This year I am still growing with my trades and as a trader quickly by my standards and it's nice to know some people see it, meaning the action is showing results. I won't be surprised when I get funded this year or the next.

Just recently I experienced the FOMO situation - after loosing one funded account, my brain went into the "Fight Mode", and several hours later I opened very stupid deals on number of account in evaluation stage, which turned into 2% losses on these account. For me it was double hit in one day.
So these video clearly explained my WHY I opened such stupid deals, and WHAT I should do to prevent such situations in future!

Yes, alot of capping out there- so glad you mentioned that. Its easy to post wins to boost “our”, their ego, when in fact they are simply playing themselves, and they maybe struggling , unprofitable, inconsistent, and you maybe actually be much further ahead than you think when you stop comparing yourself/results. Its that white noise in the mind that must be calmed.
Not even half way through and I have to say this further solidifies that I made a very good decision by going with your program when I decided to step up my understanding of trading. So good.

Anthony Robbins calls this paring method ANCHORING. Meaning you anchor an experience to a specific emotion, and you repeatedly link those two together and eventually when that experience comes the associated anchored emotion (in this case relaxation) will come naturally.

I bought a challenge 2 weeks back and i failed it,it was my first time buying and failing a challenge in the same week i now notice that i was purely basing my trades of emotions as i was obsessed with me passing asap rather than taking my time and see the market for what it is and not what i want it to be but hey we live and we learn
Thanks for this video. It's exactly what I need. I'll be honest I'm suffering but I'm not giving up. I passed phase 1 last week and lost phase 2 today. I have realized that I have a strategy that works. The problem now is my psyche. Everyone around me knows it's my strongest trait but it kills me when it comes to trading, I have no choice but to solve it and I refuse to give up now as I enter my third year.
trading is 20% strategy and 80% psychology . although I do have a mentor that show me his strategy, I love your mental and psychological approach to the market. I saw in the comments below that you give home work. I would love to see what that involves. But keep up the great work. Im a fan and a subscriber for life. Blessings Love!
iv seen this video a few times from the SMB capital page and its fire . but the thing about all these things is that. ou have to taste those failures before you correct. some people is 1 time and they change forever. some people its 2 times. others like 100 times. then they seek help on how to correct it.. it takes a strong person to not blow an account and then fly in colours and those are at the pro level ( banks ,hf, individual pros ) but majority of retail traders need to taste failure first,. but great content.

Been trading for almost 4 years. At this point I have developed a winning strategy, but because of my Anxiety, greed and impatience. I continue to blow these challenges. This video has really help me to buckle down and stay focused! I have gotten so close to being, and even got funded, but blown the account due to rushing my self. Lord willing! Keep working and the Lord will fill in your short comings. There are only 4 areas that are standing between you and your first payout. Playbook, Risk Management, Mindset, and Execution. Find out which of these needs the most work and then focus on that one.

wow, great content! That's exactly what happen to me. I missed a perfect setup and then lost control and get highjacked by my amygdala, which in turn blow my account. I feel we put so much pressure on passing rather than learning the skilled, so we can become more confident and seasoned. Your desire for success has to be greater than your fear of failure.😆😆🙏

This was a grate video my man thank u I just started with a real account trading my own funds nothing to big but enough to start going through the emotions U really cant practice with a paper trading account so this is still early in my career but I appreciate this content man I will rewatch it and take my notes and practice everything he talked about this is gold thank u

Just like you said, here are my three takeaways: Exposure therapy helps a lot when you come to a bad situation and after practicing it for some time, it lets you stay calm in those situations. #2: Have a larger perspective when it comes to trading I.e. what is the overall goal? one loss is not the end of the world and it is just a pothole in your journey. #3: there is more to life than trading. make sure to keep trading a priority however it is also important to keep track of your life P/L, learning P/L and when something bad happens, there will be people there to support you.
