Great video man, i can't lie as a man from Ireland i'm highly jealous of the aussie fishing fresh and saltwater, you'se have such a huge variety, I have to get out there one day to fish
@@BenWilliams-ey3dfI’ve caught a few creek jacks in the high fifties and no one is really impressed as much as my metre Barras and 1.20 is super impressive
I livee in the torres strait for 2 years in far north qld. Only 1 or 2 nice creeks going up into one of the Islands so not many barra up for offer. Only ever caught 1 and he was this little 30cm thing
Are you guys worried about Crocs where you are catching Barra? Sticking your hands in the water can be a bit dodgy. Anyway interested in your thoughts, certainly much gamer than me!🐊🐊👍
Bowly what if you do a Temu challenge,The rules are U need to have Temu rod, reel any lure U want but the catch is you have to catch a legal jack, cod and Barra
Good upload Bowly - some nice fish!!

Definitely mate!
Man I wanna catch a Barra. The way you said it’s hard to explain the bite unless you’ve caught one for me pumped
They hit hard, wolf it down. I've done dozens if not hundreds in FNQ and Cape York, even the little rat Barra hit hard and are a ton of fun.
@@okalov keen as. I’m down near gc only got a tinnie so it’s flatties mainly and the odd jack or Jew
They are 1 of 1 for sure. I’ve seen heaps of big Barra being caught on the goldy so they’re definitely around!
@@bowlysfishing I saw a Barra breach down here and wondered whether it was a farmed fish that got released or are they here in numbers?
title should honestly be chasing northern australias most iconic fish. we have the murray cod down in the south. but all together good video
Nah Barra are Australia’s most iconic fish
🔥
can you do a video of what gear you use in creek and all rounder rod
Great vid But surely you do a chasing giants series on a 60cm jack if you agree give me a lke
Agree! Next series
That would involve me spending way too much time on the Gold Coast and I’m just not doing that 😂
@@bowlysfishing How about 55cm jack even I can do at the hinchie channel
@@BenWilliams-ey3dfnah jacks aren’t as impressive because if u really wanted to you could just go to the reef and get some big reef jacks aye
@@BenWilliams-ey3dfI’ve caught a few creek jacks in the high fifties and no one is really impressed as much as my metre Barras and 1.20 is super impressive
What's the baitcast reel u use mate
How heavy of a baitcaster do u use

Nice fish my wife Leanne told me about this she said her cousin is related to you some how her cousin was visiting her mum in Sydney
any crocks there?
Yeah definitely are. Saw a couple this day but didn’t manage to get them on film.
@@bowlysfishing keen putting the hands in the water 😅

All in all, a pretty nice session without the 90cm cherry on top..that was just showing off.
Cheers Steve!
Would throwing a 125mm Flick Prawn work better in estuaries than those 95mm ones?
Hey bud, the fish I caught in the later section of the video were on the 125mm flick prawn, I didn’t use the 95mm in this video. 👍🏼
Thanks
I'm surprised you don't encounter bull sharks or salties any more often that=n you do.
Plenty of both around here mate 😂
Please reply bowly ❤️🙏
Hey bud!
