I miss this game. Stealers were overpowered. Dunkers were underpowered because Shotblockers were too good against dunks. 3pt Shooters were ok to a bit underpowered... but as long as a player had around 66-73ish (no icon) 3pt rating, I'm making that if the player is open. And I think this was the first game with an All Star weekend -> I could be wrong? Good times, good times. Then Live 2006 came along and defense was underpowered. Felt like a totally different game. Maaaannn I'm getting older.

Me and my friends would party on a Friday or Saturday night and then when all the boys woke up in the morning everyone would call out of work and we would use a piece of paper and actually do a playoff tournament of NBA live on the PS2. It was one and done and there would always be at least eight of us in the living room waiting your turn on the sticks. I don't think kids today will ever get that experience of sitting around and six other guys watching your game cheering nervously watching the brackets to see who they might match up against depending on who wins. What a blast I still come back to these games once in awhile, and when the All-Star mode was made and perfected I think they've never done it as good as 2005 and 2006 I believe.
