I'm technically an Aries, but I relate way more to Jenna - I loved my roommate's dog when he was young, and I worked so hard to keep him exercised and happy, but I'm naturally a much better match to cuddling with my older rescue cat. ☺

I couldn't bring myself to watch this video until now because we just lost our giant tapdancing horse - I mean rescued greyhound - two weeks ago, on the same day you uploaded this video. She was so sweet natured and beautiful and I'll miss her forever.
She had the same fawn and white colours as Bunny! One of the most wonderful things about rescuing a greyhound is seeing them become a dog and seeing their beautiful personalities shine. I'm so happy with how Bunny has progressed and seeing your little updates. She looks like such a sweetheart and I am so so happy she found you guys! 💜

My greyhound recently passed away at the end of April and it's still affecting me, but watching Bunny makes me remember that there's hundreds of greyhounds still without homes and I know that once summer comes around and quarantine is lifted, my family and I are going to rescue another pupper and give them the life they deserve.
i hope you have or are going to soon! i would really like to adopt a big dog like a greyhound in the future and seeing how amazing bunny is just makes me want one even more (:

We were lucky that we could adopt during lockdown, the lady at the rescue centre brought her to the town where we live and we walked her home!
Reminds me a little of my pit bull, who was a bait dog. They’d pulled all his teeth, cropped his ears BY THEMSELVES, and used him to train fighting dogs. He has lots of scars because of it. When we brought him home, he didn’t want anything to do with us, didn’t like toys, and HATED other dogs (they told us the opposite). He almost seemed depressed. When he finally did get attached to me, he had separation anxiety and would tear up anything he could get to. Now, he loves us, toys, and the other family dogs. He even does great with the cat, the chickens, and the ducks. Never chews anything up, never fights (anymore). He’s a big baby

She still wouldn’t have come this far without them. It was their accomplishments, collectively. Amazing dogs lose their potential all the time because of people who don’t put in the time and effort for them, and Bunny would not have progressed if they just let her do everything herself. Because, well, she can’t.

There's an old saying (from the Quran, I think): "S/he who saves one life, it is as if s/he had saved the whole world." You two mean the world to Bunny, and I'm so glad you found each other. You made a world of difference to this dog's life. I hope to rescue a fur baby someday

As much as there were swords, it was always used in the context of defending oneself or their troupes. Islam stands strongly with the fact to save lives as for which one whom he says is like saving a million , to love such as smiling to a stranger and it’s equivalent to loving god , to care for your neighbours and etc. there’s a story of a woman that saved a CAT and entered heaven.

As a licensed Veterinary Technician, this video brought me to tears. The amount of time, patience, love, and dedication y'all put in is beautiful. Rescue dogs come with their own set of challenges, let alone a greyhound. They are so sweet but unfortunately not knowing their past racing experience and what they went through can lead to them being anxious, scared, hesitant, and some are even small animal aggressive. Thank you for giving her such a great life. I wish to see more of this instead of people who surrender a dog after 1 week because it barks too much. Y'all are literal angels.

I’m just a receptionist at a vet clinic but I completely understand what you mean. It makes my heart whenever a client or shelter reports a dog/cat was surrendered.
Even when a client joked about being annoyed with their dog, my heart drops. Sometimes that joke has a hidden feeling and I worry for that pet.
You nailed it with "time, patience, love, and dedication." We got a rescue dog in August of 2018 (actually just posted a birthday video of her) she's a Chihuahua that was used for breeding for 5 years. We have been very patient and she has opened up SO MUCH, but you can tell she is still disturbed from her past. Still more things to work on! That's okay, she's making progress. Baby steps are baby steps!

You know, I feel not just anyone could’ve handled a dog like Bunny, not socialized, need more attention and work than others, but Jenna and Julien were perfect for her. They understand the work they needed to do and how to work with her, and willing to put in all the work. Now Bunny is happy and comfortable and has home and family.

Yes! Also, after hearing her talk about the TV situation, it made me think about how you can put in a lot of work into something but you still need to live your life and let things unfold too. Bc imagine if they didn’t go to Big Bear bc they were like, “omg she’s still afraid of the TV, we need to cancel and buckle down on the training!” She may never have truly gotten over her fear for the TV.
It’s funny how it’s a video about their dog and her (Bunny)/their (Jenna and Julien) progress but there’s little nuggets of life advice in there too.

As a dog enthusiast, bred them, raised them, trained them, groom them professionally, people need to take some tips from Jenna and Bunny's experience. I don't believe this training always works, but if you have a sensitive breed or a rescue dog of any caliber, you should take notes and apply them to you and your dog's experience. Great job Jenna, you and Jullian are a blessing and are wonderful.

@@SP-se3zf A lot of people want purebreed dogs, just to know the origins of the dog, or to make competitions. But they also want dogs that are socialized, trained etc, things that a shelter dog could not be. Yes it's better to adopt, but some people want to buy their dog from breeders, and as long the breeder is respectful towards the dogs, it's not an issue.

@@heyits_cat8966 with covid lockdown, her mental health was affected and also around that time everyone started to get on influencers abt taking accountability and cancelling a lot of them. ppl started to bother her abt some of the friendships she had with “problematic creators”. it was seeming as if every single creator was being heavily researched for absolutely anything since everyone was on lockdown and had nothing better to do. she decided to make a final video (( which she has now removed )) taking accountability but also announcing she needs to focus on herself and her mental health. it’s unknown if she’ll return or not, but we get small glimpses of her through julien. she truly was/is such a one of kind creator.
Thank you for that explanation. I never really knew why Jenna stopped posting. She is still missed in our home.

The amount of understanding, positive energy, positive reinforcement and ethical interaction you provide to your dogs is so delightful. You treat them like the people they are. So many humans consider their pets their "property", treating them like garbage and not interacting with them like they should, depriving them of social interaction or abusing them. You two on the other hand know and understand that they're conscious little beings with emotions and intelligence who deserve to be treated like people. So much patience and good vibes, I love how you do it.

To see this video, its so clear that you two were meant to be where you are now. From working so hard with bunny to now being foster parents for greys and even adopting more of them. I just feel proud. Sweet bunny was the catalyst, and if ANY people were meant to do this, it's you two.

it’s really impressive how well they did with bunny. taking in a troubled dog and putting in the work to help them is fucking BRUTAL, and takes so so so so much patience and love. it’s really uplifting watching bunny now versus then.

On my second day with our rescue Saluki (also a large sighthound) this series of videos was totally different on re watch and theyve helped so much I cant thank you enough
Same for us. We have a Saluki-Greyhound and having watched Jenna & Julian rehabilitate Bunny really put us a step ahead in 'normalising" our dog. We'll as normal as a sighthound goofball noodle dog gets!

I started tearing up when Jenna said Bunny *loves* to play with Julien and considers him her play buddy. Then I couldn't control my tears the rest of the video. I am seriously so happy that Bunny is now comfortable with her new owners, new siblings, new house, new everything. It's so heartwarming to see her progress every week on this channel. We can literally see her opening up every time, and the progress she made is very heartwarming and exciting. I am so proud of Bunny, and I am especially proud of Jenna and Julien for doing such a fantastic job in giving Bunny all the love she deserves. She is such a wonderful and lovable dog. She couldn't have asked for a better family. She is one of the luckiest dogs out there who got to have a second chance at life at just being a dog and being able to live with love, happiness and health. I am so happy for her.

I get the trust process. My cat was a street cat that I spent 4 years getting her to trust me to cut her nails. I can cut her nails with ease now, and she knows she will be ok.

This gave me so much hope, I recently adopted a Podenco (Grey hounds cousin), a breed really mistreated by hunters in Andalucia (in Spain) She is 1 year old and so scared and lethargic, its been almost a month and the progress is so slow that sometimes I think she is like that forever and its just too sad. But seeing Bunny shine with her personality thanks to all the love and work you do renovated my energies. Its been a couple of rough days and not enough good ones, but she needs her own time and all the love she wants.

I've only seen Podencos on video, but I can tell by their eyes that they are very intuitive and intelligent. You can make her feel secure sooner if you develop little rituals with her. It can be something very simple, like sitting with her for 10 minutes at the same time every day, or something silly, like singing her a little song, or talking to her while you make her dinner. I know, it sounds silly; but dogs are simple creatures, and they really respond to things like this. Hang in there; you're still at the very beginning.

Dogs can understand some words but mostly they understand tone and emotion. So she understand they’re saying nice things about them.
I’m not sure why, but Bunny and Peach having a bond together makes this feel incredibly complete

I wish that these videos had been out when we adopted our rescue (not a greyhound). I didn't go looking for it, but this was 4 ish years ago and most people didn't talk about their struggles like that so openly.
seeing other people struggles and successes bringing a rescue into their home while trying to get them used to life and a house and teach them how to dog, etc is really special.
I hope other future rescue parents see all the bunny videos and realize that when it seems really hard and you don't know what else to do, just stay the course. you'll get there. it's worth it.
Tbh part of the reason why Bunny and Peach get along is because Bunny sees someone she like also be super close with her favorite person(Julien) and just associates her love for Julien to loving Peach

I love that you guys haven't discouraged her from jumping around when she first started to show excitement and give her the opportunity to come out of her shell before addressing toning it down :') It's so refreshing to see people treating their dogs as intelligent and emotional beings while respecting that their understanding of the world is different than our own where she may not be able to differentiate "no jumping around for food" from "showing excitement isnt allowed"
