Thumbs up Dave, I love your presentations. It is straight forward, easy to follow and entertaining. Your passion is evident, and you pull no punches when it comes to reviews, "love it" but most importantly we all learn from one another with comments that are brought to light and demonstrated, that's what this blog is all about.

Hi Dave just catching up on old blogs. I like the way you tell it . If you repeat it three times then thats alright with me, it will sink it easier. Totally happy with everything you explain. And a little comedy thrown in keeps me hooked. Thanks for your time Dave.

I do a ton of stuff on my own time, so hard to put a number on it, but lets say 50/50.
I'm lucky in my current job that I have the freedom to investigate new technologies and just play with stuff in general. No paperwork, no red tape, few if any meetings. So pretty much all of my work day is spent at least looking at technical stuff in some way shape or form.

please don't change the format, I really enjoy it the way it is(none of them seem too long, and some do seem a bit short for me). I'm a 16 year old kid who's starting to do some of this as a hobby(hopefully for a living later on as well), and these video's are very helpful and can be a joy to watch. I'm also wondering whether or not you prefer AVR or PIC, and why(I'm just wondering though, I don't want to start a war in the comments). I would like to see more book reviews as well.

    Hi Dave,
Great blog. Please consider reviewing more older test gear. There is great stuff from HP, Tek, Fluke and others that will serve well in many applications. There is little review info on the web so I usually buy something without really knowing if it will serve my purpose.
Perhaps, you could host reviews from others with RF, Audio, Digital and other interest.
I think the potential for bringing much needed info to all of is would be a huge advantage.
    Keep up the excellent work,
    Glenn

I think 10 minutes is fine.. if you get on a good topic, 10 minutes seems short, if you've not a lot to say, it may seem long... but in general, you've done great with the format. Great work!

It's nothing to do with the chair, that's a red herring. And it's definitely static charge.
I can get the same result (but lower amplitude) by rubbing my jumper across the seat of the chair.

4:40 - I like it much better unscripted! also, those omissions and errors make for great feedback and discussion!

I agree with ntjbjhq. You seem like a knowledgeable guy. Do you learn most of the subject matter at work or on your own time? What percentage of your typical day at work is spent doing actual design and/or technical stuff? thanks!

I do like your blog or I wouldn't watch it. I think your doing just fine. I would like to see more technical video's though. Maybe some blogs on product design (like your calculator watch). I'd like to see you build something, see how you go about choosing components, to engineering the layout, schematic capturing, etc. Hope thats not too boring for you to do, since it sounds like your day job. But I'm a hobbyist, I find it very interesting, and I don't get to do it day in and day out.
