sad thing is that you'll have to relearn how to edit on davinci, although it shouldnt be that hard since davinci isnt really that difficult to learn, i've used vegas and davinci but i prefer vegas
This is what gives me a love-hate relationship with props. I hate how long it takes to enter combat, but you have a chance of getting tangled in long and intense dogfights, which isn't possible later on
Honestly those fights are possible in the higher tiers just very few. The battles should be reduced in player count. Most good dogfight stories you hear aren’t in huge 10v10 battles more like 2v2
Never realized I was fighting you 4:33 until now. You are scary good with using that gunner while fighting and that easily could have gone the other way. I still have the replay of that match saved as "Realy good Pe-3 pilot". Any way, you stayed alive long enough to make sure you won the match due to that peasky space bomber and as I said at the time, realy well played.
These are those rare moments that make me love that game. I always love that feeling I get in scenarios like this. It's so hard to find fights like this especially when you get into jets.
Yeaa that's Pe-3 on uptier for ya, I was initially 2000m above this guy, and he simply climbed his way out of my range just because I was slow. And then comes the poor turn rate. Pe-3 shouldnt be at 3.3 imo
I iust love the moment when i get into a long 1v1 dogfight no matter the outcome whether i win or lose. That stuff is what keep me playing war thunder.

Had an even rarer experience yesterday, an actual drawn out duel in ground rb. Me in a Yak 7b and him in a 109F, went on for about 5 minutes with vertical and horizontal scissors, stall climbing, and rolling, the complete works.
@@ajamcan7264 I managed to get him with a two second burst during a tight turn. It came close, especially when he clipped an elevator during a stall climb that culminated in me throwing the aircraft over using the rudder to avoid him (he pulled a very nice stall climb by using flaps to slow himself down so I climbed slightly higher than him). I eventually got him when he pulled out of a horizontal scissor (after a series of vertical scissors) and tried to turn possibly to attempt to run (he had run out of energy) and I managed to pull a tighter turn using landing flaps.
Ah yes, I love having high altitude dogfights (mainly 3000m-6000m). One match, everyone just climbed for about 20 minutes and was just pretty chill in the chat. Had a dogfight with a P47 and shot him down after about 5 minutes, then downed 2 bombers (they had already bombed about 3/4 of our bases so its justified). Best damn Air RB match I have ever had
I like the first and the 4th fight the most. Just the dynamic between planes trying their utmost to turn their guns on each other while equally avoiding any move their opponent may make can sometimes end in such beautiful engagements like these. The nice atmospheric music just adds to the experience, thank you very much for this true piece of art Smigol!
This is why I fell in love with WW1 and WW2 aircraft when I was a kid. When dogfighting was actually a thing and you didn't have the latest and greatest radar and missile technology. Experience and skill are the only things that kept you alive.
Man, please keep uploading this kind of content, there's NOTHING that i love more than these kind of fights, specially when im fighting someone that's on my same skill level or above me, doesn't matter the result, if i win or lose the fight, it's just extremely enjoyable having a good and long fight, knowing that the other guy it's a good pilot just as you and both respect each other because of that, and both of you will enjoy the fight even if the other wins, without needing to say a single word you can know that. That's the real air combat my friend, doesn't matter if it's war Thunder, if it's IL-2, Aces High, etcetera.
@@CyberRelic280 yak only has landing flaps, and our fight was angled downwards so he couldnt use them pretty much and that's what got him killed. Also if I missed that shot at the end, I would be probably dead
I once had a dogfight in the first Bf 109 (With only the 2 mg's) with an F3F that lasted nearly 5 minutes. We were the last ones in the match, but eventually I crashed.
Could you perhaps make a video with the P-51D-5 in it at some time? I'm can't for the life of me (or my SL bank) manage to fight with it decently, and rarely get more than a single kill that isn't either a twin engine or someone who wasn't paying attention.
I have fought j2ms in my G55.s in prolonged dogfights with competent pilots and its one of the most shockingly equal yet the most fun fights you could have in war thunder
I had a really good fight flying a 109 E-4. Opponents were a French P-63c, Spitfire Mk 5?, and the French 3.3 thing (You know the one). I started at about 24,000 ft, they had about an extra thousand on me. The exact details are a bit fuzzy, it was a while ago, and I was in panic mode. I do remember the 3.3 thing making a mistake, because he passed right in front of me. And me, in all my wisdom, decided to only use the 7.92s instead of hammering him with the 20mms. (I was saving the cannon ammo for the Spitfire, who I was the most afraid of) He escaped with minor damage. In hindsight, if I had hit him hard, I could have maybe won that engagement. Oh well. I do remember that things ended on the deck, when the P-63 got some good hits with his .50s, yellowed out my engine. Started loosing power, taking more hits, and eventually ran into a tree. Helluva fight though, my favorite one in over 2 years of war thunder.
For the last clip, I'm not sure if the Kikka J out. If he did, that's the most respectful thing to do. It sucks when a kill gets stolen after a long fight... Edit: he J out.
That one was a clipped wing spit. They turn a lot worse and bleed much more speed in maneuvers than your typical Spitfire. Even when I'm flying Germans, I will engage if I know its a clipped wing. The only benefit is a bit more speed and a lot more roll.
lol i was the second spitfire at 3:23 with the combat proven title. i had no idea that was you but i remember the fight. i was amazed with how you were able to get away with the maneuvers that u were doing. GGs. and its a perfect clip that shows that hispanos do fuckall damage. the guy who came in last second and clipped my wing ruined the fight :(((((

Did this once with a 109 F-4 vs my P-51C stock. We were dogfighting at 15-10k feet just going up and down sometimes going verticals with our wings touching (with the update where they dont explode when you touch)
This is the equivalent of watching aerial ballet, however, it is a dance of death... Oh btw nice music choice and of course you have to fade to black and gently end it only for a fucking reggae dubstep remix of LOTR has to hit me like a truck. I had almost forgot.
I wish warthunder would have more of these dogfights, have expirienced my share of these in air rb, however I still think they don't occur often enough.

Get J2M5. J2M4 is just fat and heavy. Locks up at higher speeds. Gets outperformed by most of the aircraft arount its BR. Engine barely retains itself at 100% throttle in 20 min match without use of MEC (map dependent), let alone wepping. Sure, it has 4x 20mm, but each pair of them has different muzzle velocity, so unless you are shooting at really short ranges, you can effectively hit only with 2 guns out of 4. And they also love to spark.And on top of that, this plane burns better than Shreks ear candle.
@@Warump thank you ! I hadn't noticed that the 20mm haven't the same muzzle velocity, and for sure it's a huge flaw because it cancel the avantage of accuracy at range over 30mm
I don't hope you answer anymore, but I'm very interested in what you chose. And if somehow there is an opportunity to play in a squad. It's just boring to play alone and I get some disappointment because of the current pilots playing Japanese equipment.

Okay I am a noob when it comes to dogfighting and the answer may be very simple but I use the same config to fly plane as you but I notice that when I do I would say relatively the same maneuvers as you my pilot blacks out alot and I usually die as a result, so my question, is your pilot maxed out to withstand the g's or do you freelook sometimes to reduce the point of blacking out?
How are you so good? The number of times I'd have goofed in the first fight alone makes me depressed about the skill gap between me and even half-competent players

I got in a fight against a yak-9 once in my ki-61 and it was a long dogfight. It lasted for 4 minutes and my hands were so shaky afterwards

Side climb high alt (4-5k) and just play, it takes time to get better and that time will come soon! Good job holding out and not giving up
