This is hands-down, the best and most concise summary, of where to self publish I have ever seen on UA-cam or Hurd narrated! Thank you very very much!!!!!!!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Dale.. you absolutely RULE!! I'm 50% through writing my eBook and you mentioned D2D... I'm gonna use them to compile and sell the eBooks!!
Sweet! Good luck.
So If I publish through D2D, it will automatically be available on kdp as well??? Even if I don't have my own isbn nunber?
@Fearl3ss234 - So long as you select Amazon as an avenue, D2D will distribute there. Even if you don't have your own ISBN.
Thank you for this to the point video! Great information!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!! So awesome
My pleasure! I have quite a few more videos like that one where I do deeper dives of the different platforms.
Appreciate you brother for sharing this :)
My pleasure!
Great. Thanks.
You're welcome!

Hey Dale still loving your videos extremely helpful, don't suppose you've got any tips for advertising and promotion especially for apple books? I tried to use apple search ads but that's only for apps unfortunately, looking forward to any future videos of yours but one on promoting on apple and Google books would be awesome
Sadly, advertising with Apple or Google Play are way outside my wheelhouse and probably not on my radar at the moment. But, I've made a mental note to keep an ear to the ground for more interest in this area and an eye out for experts in those areas. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hey Dale. I remember a while back you said that you plan to publish 12 books this year. How's that going so far?
Latrice, you're the accountability partner I didn't know I had. I'm off schedule on my publishing. I've been focusing heavily on my UA-cam channels and Book Rescue!
@@DaleLRoberts Oh ok. I see. I'm glad I can be that accountability partner to you. Same here for you. I'm learning a lot from you. Keep up the good work on your videos. You're doing an awesome job. 💯😇👍 I've been publishing like crazy. I've written and published 4 books this year so far. I have 3 more stories lined up to go. We'll see. Thanks for that encouragement and motivation😇
@@latricewillins-butler5403 I have one short read some and am on my second round of edits for two manuscripts. I have another manuscript in development. So, I should be able to do a short rapid launch release. I’ll probably get another 2 short reads and two books before then. That’ll bring me to about 6-7 for the rapid release launch.
@@DaleLRoberts Cool. Keep it up. That's so awesome. I just published my 6th book of the year with a 7th in the works. Working it😇
@@latricewillins-butler5403 what books did you write?
Thank you! This is what I want to know. 😊👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
Would you recommend publishing one book on multiple sites? Could that get more sales?
Absolutely! Also referred to as publishing wide, putting your book on numerous platforms increases your likelihood of gaining more readers, especially beyond Amazon.
New subscriber 💯💯
Thanks 💯
New sub thanks
Thanks for subbing!
Hi Dale,
Thank you for this video. Leant lot of things in this 47 seconds.
I have a small question though.
When publishing the same book in different platforms,
"Is it ok to publish the same book with different ISBN numbers? Or do we have to publish them with the same ISBN number?"
Thanks & Regards,
Damian.
If you're using the free ISBNs from the different platforms where you are publishing, it's fine. Of course it would be ideal to use one that you bought. That way, you could use the same number across all platforms.
@@DaleLRoberts Thank you very much Dale. Really appreciated :)
Thank you for asking thjs question.!
Hey great video brother !
Just wanted to ask that how about I sell my e-books on all of them !?
You can, but be careful of publishing twice to the same platform. For example, Draft2Digital offers distribution to Amazon. In that case, you'd deselect Amazon if you're already using KDP.
Thank you for the summarized info..
Quick question..
No cash? What do you mean by that ?
And do you recommend these platforms for low content books too ?
“No cash” means not having any money. Here’s a video showing the ten best platforms for low content books:
ua-cam.com/video/kmCIKaxvafg/v-deo.htmlsi=7x0gQcnMt5roTOVc
Only as good as the marketing they don't sell on their own
I wish they'd sell themselves. haha
@@DaleLRoberts me too 😊💕
A question I have is if I should put the book on a website for people to read it on. I have the website all ready, but I'm not sure if I should.
You could, but if it's not behind a paywall, you could run into issues with retailers discovering you're giving away premium content for free. I wouldn't recommend putting your content up for free if you're going to sell it on another site.
What about the rights? Also can you upload the same story on all of these platforms?
The rights are still yours and yes, you can upload on multiple platforms, but avoid duplicate listings. Platforms like Draft2Digital feed to places like Amazon, Apple, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble. So, you'll want to deselect those avenues if you upload direct to them.
@@DaleLRoberts Which platform is the best in your opinion. I'm from India .
KDP
@@DaleLRoberts But it gives less Royalty than other platforms, right? How about D2D
No, KDP does pay pretty well around the average. But, you are limited on what you can price it to maximize the 70% royalty. I've got a ton of videos you can check where I cover it in-depth. Browse around.
Sir can I publish one to many platforms
Yes. Just avoid duplicate publishing to a platform. Some platforms like Lulu and Draft2Digital have overlap - like Amazon, Ingram, etc. Deselect avenues that you've already published to and you'll be fine. Also, avoid enrolling your ebook in KDP Select if you want to publish everywhere.
@@DaleLRoberts so now I can publish my on both KDP and draft2digtal?
Yes. Just deselect Amazon when you distribute through Draft2Digital.
Thank you sir for helping me 🙏
What's best platform for children's books
It's a matter of taste. Look into KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, Lulu, and Blurb. Test each platform. Order proofs. Don't just rely on my opinion because my tastes could be wildly different from yours. Me? I personally prefer less friction of using KDP for my kids' books. I hope that helps, Tricia! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Спасибо ❤
пожалуйста
But if i publish my book in kindle i will get more sales right?because it is more popular or am i wrong?.liked your video, new subscriber❤
So long as you actively market and promote it.
Nice
Thanks
I'm still shut out of Google Play.
Sorry, man. You're not missing much.
What about copyright?

👍🏾
Thanks!
Can I polish my e-book and all of them at the same time?
Yes and no. You'll want to deselect avenues that overlap, so you're not publishing duplicate books to a platform. For instance, Draft2Digital publishes to Amazon, so if you're publishing to KDP, you'll want to deselect Amazon through Draft2Digital.
@@DaleLRoberts thank you, 🙏🏻 and thank for you texting me back. Given me a bit of your time.
You got it!
Can I sell same book with different platform
Yes.
Can I post my book to all these sites? Is there a limit for how many platforms I can sell my book on?
Kinda. You don't want to publish to the same platform twice though. For instance, if you used Draft2Digital, you'll want to deselect Amazon for distribution if you're going through KDP. So, just double check you aren't publishing twice to any one retailer and you're good to go!
Are these in any specific order?
No.
Can I publish to more than one platform? Can I publish to all of them?
Yes, just make sure you're not publishing to the same platform twice. For instance, if you use Draft2Digital and KDP, you'll want to remove Amazon as an option through your Draft2Digital account.
What if I posted on gumroad and Kindle both ?
Sure! Just avoid enrolling your ebook into the KDP Select Program and you should be fine.
What is self publishing, does it do the marketing it self?
Boy, I wish. Self-publishing implies you do all the work yourself - writing, editing, marketing, promotion, the whole she-bang.
free publish?
Yes.
How does paperback work on Gumroad?
It doesn't, sadly. However, Payhip integrates with Bookvault for print on demand.
What about the marketing
Do it
Not Draft 2 Digital my book is listed for $13.33 just to make a $1.27 royalty.
Thanks for sharing.
What about publishing random short stories, big dog?
Go for it!
Okh
👍
Is it free?
Most self-publishing platforms are free. They get their money through a revenue share model. So, a customer orders a book, Amazon prints and ships it, then they take a percentage of the sale while giving you the remaining net profit. I cover it more in-depth on my channel. Browse through my backlog of videos, there's over 800 to watch.
@@DaleLRoberts what about Amazon?
He just answered about amazon .. you publish, a customer orders, amazon prints and ships, they get the printing and fee and give you the rest 70% @@muslimabakhromova-kh8dw
They closed my account don't know why
Ask them.
@@DaleLRoberts ok thanks
what if somebody published it in all of them?
Sure.
@@DaleLRoberts I'm Asking.
